Pilgrimage to Mount of the Holy Cross - Halo Ridge

A very special hike I'll remember for a long time.
I never mentioned this in the video, but the name of this route is Halo Ridge. The shorter way to do this peak (but without seeing the cross) is going up and down the trail that I came down. #colorado #14ers

Excellent! Holy cross wilderness is honestly some of the most epic scenery in all of colorado. And, the HCW has some forbidden fruit way beyond just the Half Moon and 14er loop area. You've gotta go beyond the Half Moon TH area, specifically Fancy Lake and Missouri lakes, and of course Cross Creek. It's best served as a multi-day backpack. Highly recommend. Supreme!

Stunning views the whole way Montaneist. I had to look it up on Alltrails. Even the standard route, which I guess is how you came down, is tough; 5.25 miles each way with 5,524' of elevation gain. "Often considered one of the most picturesque fourteener hikes in Colorado" says Alltrails. You're getting much more polished with your videos too. I think you will pick up some subscribers!
