Twenty years from now you may have 100+ different styles but if you don't save the styles, you'll miss out on the audience for each. Many artist make this mistake and it ruines their income margine. Okay, so I’ve been watching art videos constantly the last two days- I’ve found some good ones, some useless ones, but *you* are the only person I’ve subscribed to since I started. Incredible. Thank you so much.
This is very broadly applicable too, you can use anything as your stylistic inspiration but keeping it in mind when you draw is useful. I have a color palette, but thinking about what else makes my art iconic is helpful.
Girl I've watched so many vids about finding your art styles and yours is probably the best and the most practical. Other videos tell you to just study other artist work and practice them but that is hard when you cannot replicate it because you don't know what brush or method they did to get it. Even when you try it doesn't come out similar because all artist has some pattern in the way they put down lines and colors and all these pro artist tell you this vague advice like it should help. I tried that way and it doesn't work unless they have a very distinct body shape or something abstract you can capture like harsh lighting for example. The idea of using liquidfy tool is amazing yet simple even down to explaining ideas for lines and color. Thank you.
Finally a video that actually helps! I just recently got back into drawing digitally because I became so discouraged and I felt frustrated because I couldn't find "my art style". This is so inspiring and encouraging thank you very much for making this video🥰🥰🥰

I tried copying some like drawingwiffwaffles, kasey Golden, Kesh, etc... but I don't feel well copying them. So, I tried your technique and it worked! I 💯 % recomend! I found my style in less than 20 minutes. It is kinda a realistic face and some cartoon features. Thank you so much for this!

This is also a good way to refresh your art style or brainstorm for ideas when someone, for example, wants to hire you to paint the illustrations. It's more about the situations when you need to come up with few designs in order for the client to be able to pick one. Really good advice here! Unfortunately in the 'real world' being hired solely for your unique style is rare so it's important to be able to adjust to the needs. Of course, if you think of art as more than just a hobby 🥰

You can definitely change your artstyle! For many artists, myself included, our style is always evolving and shifting as we learn new techniques, study more art, etc. For example, my style started out very anime-esque, then shifted to be a little more realistic, and now I'm working on creating a comic style influenced by fashion design drawings and anime with art similar to Hellsing Ultimate. For my illustration style, I want to try adding elements from Danica Sills' colors and Myriam Tillson's abstract/ethereal compositions. It takes a lot of practice and study to truly nail the parts of a style you wish to capture, but the result is so, so rewarding.
