- Here's some quick tips and tricks on how you can draw anime chibis! I talk a little bit about proportions, construction, and anatomy.
This video might be more useful for beginners or for people who are starting out. My goal is to make art as fun as possible for everyone.

What a cool vtuber model, never seen a 2.5d pixel model before. Woah. 😮
I was thinking the same thing
Wait, 2.5D exists? Is it something between 2D and 3D? I've never seen it before 😭
@@ihrmoos_ yeah pretty much! It’s like a 3d based model that appears 2d or an advanced 2d model that can move more like a 3d one. It seems it really depends on who you ask but I believe it’s the first one more so
@@CadaGCreations. Ohh, this actually sounds so cool!
great chibi tuorial! and i would rlly like a tutorial on coloring, i feel like i struggle a lot with finishing illustrations beyond the base colors and really simple cell shading
yeah that would be so cool! i have the same problem lol, it really is hard

Great video. I don't know why but I have a really hard time doing chibis. I can draw semi-realistic-ish or cartoony people. But chibis are so simplified that I don't know where to put the features, they either look like a ball with legs or very disproportionate normal humans hahaha
I have the same problem lol. They just look uncanny
It's because of how heavily stylized it is I think. Heavily stylized art is just very hard to get a grasp of at first, but it does get easier the more you do it. Just experiment with it lol, you'll find something that works best for you!
Not gonna lie, I thought pikat was a middle-aged Japanese dude 😑
Ok, so it’s not just me. The absolute whiplash I experienced hearing her speak for the first time a few days ago
Same lmao, glad I'm not alone
Join her streams, they’re fun! I pretty sure she’s a middle age Chinese woman but now I like to think of her as an 8 bit, purple haired, egg loving sleepyhead lmao
Well you're half right
Ayo 🤨
i never really care much about drawing in a chibi style but i was doing some doodles during this video and actually managed to learn my own chibi artstyle within the 12 minutes
didnt think this video would be able to help me so much
I'd LOVE to see a video about how you do the rendering
go to her twitch
thank you for this video! I've been struggling with my chibi style these days because a lot of chibi tutorials always go, "Do this! Not this!" (which tbf is always typical with every tutorial art videos I've found) and it becomes discouraging when a lot of artists have various different styles that works for them, so your take has been refreshing.
The editing is top tier 😂 and so is your model!! I love the pixelated video game vibe!
thank you so much for these tutorials! The way you explain and demonstrate important points, for example the cheekbone/eye socket/brow bone at perspective, and the 3 point perspective with the boxes video... It has made things SO much clearer and easier to understand what is important and why. back to drawing boxes, thank you again 🙏
Love the video! 12.20 minutes of talking about Head, things you can play with, and loose things. You're the best!
This is my first video of yours, and the way that your break everything down is so easy to understand! It actually got me invigorated to work on a drawing in the middle of an art block. Your avatar is very cute too. Plus, your tone of voice is very approachable and puts the viewer at ease.
I really love how you teach :)
it’s very freeing and refreshing. I would love that coloring video from you!!
Thank you for inspiring me out of an art block.
Love this video so much and love listening to you in general. You are very funny and fun and your art is really amazing
Woah this is neat! I never realized there could be a guide on getting your own chibi style :0
Just found this channel, definitely cutest drawing channel out there
I just want to say that I love your videos sooo much. You're so funny and I love listening to your takes. I've been drawing all my life but your videos are so educational yet fun. I went on a Hiatus for a little while and they are a fantastic refresher for certain things. 💜
you are officially my go-to art channel
Mom wake up pikat just dropped a video
saying toddler then flashing tyler is diabolical
ive been trying to find my style for chibis and this tutorial was very helpful! thank you
Your explanation is one of the easiest to understand. Like omg. Where have you been in my life. Thank you oh so very much.
Amazing content!
Your model is so cool!❤ very creative! Keep it up💛🌼🍋💛
very useful tutorial, definitely gonna a pick up a few tips from here. I however, really struggle with anatomy, I have practiced it sooooooo much (by that I mean maybe like 8 years+) But still struggle with things such as dynamic posing and foreshortening. I just cant seem to imagine the shapes stuff ;-;
I feel like a dummy haha
I’ve been looking for how to video for 30 minutes and this was exactly what I needed!
I enjoy your videos and the lil avatar speaking in your place, honestly think you’re the only one that posts drawing videos like this
New SUB!!!! AND YES PLEASEEEE the detailssss, line art, colorrrr
Yess. The timing of this was perfect. I have a friend who needs this
wow thanks I needed this
The cutest tutorial😊
Great vid! Loved the AoT inclusion
Great tutorial! Highly enjoyable, 100/10! I really enjoyed your humor, and how approachable your explanations are. :) have a nice weekend! (the ending if this vid killed me, in the best way)
Really like this channel :D
pikat is a great teacher
thank you! i’m not necessarily looking to do a chibi style, but i want to develop a second simpler style i can utilize as well. i’ve been considering making a webcomic but my style is way too high maintenance for me to realistically keep it up or finish anything. i hope i can get some use in how to find a style that is a bit more minimalist, something i struggle with. playing around with a chibi art style might help me figure out some of the basics :)
Thank you so much ❤❤
My favorite youtuber
Love that you’ve used cooking mama music for the vid
Great video!
really helpful😊❤
Lol I used to hang with Pikat in discord. Didn’t know you had a YT. Subscribed! Small world.
Im a go have fun! Thanks for the lesson!
good stuff
thanks for goos explanation ❤
we want more tutorials!!❤❤
Good video! Yippeee
11:42 I am leaving a comment down below to let you know I am interested in a detail/colour/linework video 👉👈
I follow you on Twitter and I love your art and this is my first time seeing any of your videos and I'm just now realizing you aren't some random forty year old southeast asian dude
It is nice that u draw the hands the same way i do :D
Why this videos are so good?
This was alot more helpful than the usual "idk just get in the vibe and draw alot" tutorials I see. Like that's fine, but I like to draw with purpose and I'd anatomy lol.
Omg this is so cute! When i draw chibis, i normally do three heads tall and put detail on the eyes. Not realistic detail, just shading a bit. The hair sometimes i give up on lol- and i don't always draw noses. I just do it when I'm in the mood too, you know?
I probably won't draw chibi style, but this was still interesting.
LETS GOOO
Nice
was gonna make a joke about lewding the chibi, but you covered it. lol. good job on the vid, funny and insightful
Thank you
Great video! Learned a lot and will definitely be referencing this video as I try to draw this style. I don’t know yet what your other videos consist of but if you haven’t yet, maybe show how boys may be drawn, as far as eyes, hair, etc. Most of the characters I want to draw are guys and I want to draw them to look cute but not toddler-ish. Also, need help on rendering the drawing. How to pick skin colors, the highlights and shadows colors too.
Can u do the video about coloring? Btw thanks this vid helped alot :D
This helped a lot. First time ever I could draw a chibi I actually like and it looks cute. (I have trubble making things cute :D so this IS huge for me) The only thing I have truble with is placing the neck from like 3/4 view and how it connects to the rest, because the neck is so small and if I try to place it under roughly the ears it could look terrible :D so any suggestions?
Stream gang have the biggest swag
watching this video made me realise that my srt style is probably considered chibi. huh
That’s to this video, I vound my chibi chibi style! (I Said chibi twice because my regular style is already pretty chibi)
if you have a cat, he is the best model to draw chibs in sidepositions is literaly the same shape
I was told there would be no perspective.
Time to draw chibi Tusk Act 4
I really want to get good at chibi art because I plan to do parody’s of horror games in comics
My chibis are basically a ball of a head, a slightly thin mountain of a body and two circles of hands, WITHOUT LIMBS OBVIOUSLY.
Btw good video ❤ (srry if I write something wrong, it’s because I’m Dominican i guess)
Is there a way you can share the images you worked on for the video ?
yipee
10:23 like T-rex, big head and small arms.
Muy bueno el video informativo shit
I struggle with the proportions and making them look cute, I wanna make chibi’s of my oc’s
The one big problem of my chibi, is that I can do any side profiles with it, because it dosent have a mouth, dosent have a nose, and it's eyes are literally on the very bottom of the face, if I do try to do a side profile, it's going to be... very weird...
2:02 Chibi Titan 🤣
I am interested
Chibi chibi Chaba chaba dubi dubi moch moco boom boom boom boom 💥
not the glass jar💀
Stop putting in references I understand, they shock me b/c they’re so accurate 💀
Are characters like “Hakumei & Mikochi” and the race called “Harvin” in “Grandblue Fantasy” are considered chibi as well?
Gumu-Gumu No Chibiiii!!!!!!
I miss the 90s chibi style in that the body is kinda squished vertically so a curvy girl or a buff guy still have a curvy/buff body, just squished.
I’m great at drawing chibis and have my own style but struggle with semi realism sometimes I can draw it and other times I can’t. I’m better at drawing cartoons but I wish to draw beautiful semi realistic ocs then I’d be a at peace artist
Box
def for the jar reason... Dont ask who it'll be
Uhm actually pruning your apple tree at the trunk is bad for it.
I'm on the cute and lazy side.
Why is there a jar XD ahhahahah
UR VTUBER MODEL IS SO CUTEE OMG
Good enough
my gachatuber @ss : thanks i guess
how do you even draw
But I don't want to learn real human proportions :(
