I loved to watch Tim Russert on Meet the Press every Sunday! I loved his zest for life! I was so sad when I found out that he passed away. It felt just like a family member had died. His son Luke is so much like him in looks and personality. Tim would be very proud of what Luke has accomplished since he passed away. I will always remember after his funeral there was this huge rainbow in the sky. RIP Tim and miss watching every Sunday.

RIP Tim Russert. I don't think I can say anymore than we lost a great person that day in 2008. I have not watched Meet the Press since the tribute they did to him on that Sunday following his death.

A consummate professional but even more importantly an excellent father and husband. If we had more excellent dads and husbands, it would life our country up. Still miss him. God bless his soul.

As the most important election in decades, if not all of American history, draws closer, I miss Tim Russert more and more, and I'm 31 years old. Thank you for the straight shooting and the legacy you left, Tim. You will never be forgotten...and on Election Night '08, I and probably millions of others will think of you and wish we could hear your take on the events.

Tim Russet was the "best" moderator of Meet the Press! Everyone should read "Big Russ and Me," an autobiography that pays tribute to his father, Big Russ, and the many common sense lessons he learned from him. Now, they are together in heaven. RIP Tim Russert.

Tim Russert: Why I treasured him
    1: Great deductive reasoning skills.
2: Reminded me of Joe Friday from Dragnet TV show, "The facts Ma'am, only the facts".
3: A true gentle man with the Irish Blarney.
    A powerful common sense teacher

I wish Tim Russer's soul an eternal and blissful rest.
I think most of the fascination with him comes from the press, not the public. He was obviously well-respected and loved but I always thought his interviews were full of softballs and inane at worst. Frankly I never thought of him as a particularly good reporter.
The press is a brotherhood and when one passes away the rest rally around the fallen. Since we get our news from them his myth gets overblown.

@olentangy74 My father was very sad when Tim died. He was a great journalist and great host of Meet The Press. He knew how to grill the folks that came on: reporters, pundits, and politicians of course. He knew how to get them to be honest which is so important when it comes to news. Journalism is not dead, it's just different and a little scary now but it can become great again I think that's what Tim would want. I just hope my dad is with Tim if there is an other side.

Back when MTP was watchable. Thankfully they got rid of Todd. Look at who Todd's wife is and you see why he soft-balled every DNC guest. She made the US DNC what it is today.
    Rest in peace, Tim.

    Erratic:
    1. Having no fixed or regular course; wandering.
    2. Lacking consistency, regularity, or uniformity.
    3. Deviating from the customary course in conduct or opinion; eccentric.

I cannot go to your page to view ignorance on behalf of those whom may feel that this topic is a joke. Any violence against a child is something I cannot watch or hear about. I know the madness that takes place in this world. And, one day LOVE will prevail. In the meantime, the innocence of our children is being harmed on a daily basis. They need our protection and love. My heart aches for them.

I am beyond shocked that he was ok with marrying a woman so much older than him. I guess there are all kinds. if so, then why didn't he remain in Buffalo as he said???

He was a political weasel who was always desperate for attention. He got it by bombarding interviewees with loaded questions he knew they wouldn't answer, in order to titilate the viewers. Pure sleaze. He probably had Williams Syndrome. Good riddance to him.
