Really enjoy your videos ,may I ask you to modify the audio on the videos , it is very ‘bass’ and woolly . Not very technical 😁but might help ? Thanks.
Hey Dan, ex-QR cabin crew here. I must be honest, loved your amusement at the lovenest seat in first class. I think it may be due to the fact that a lot of people book out the entire first class, and the lovenest seat essentially turns the cabin into a private jet-like experience. All the privacy they could ever ask for! Keep up the great work!
you keep right on reviewing the food. As an avid carnivore, I have not found your reviews lacking, as I can see the level of preparation involved and get a pretty complete picture of the dining situation on your flights. Keep up the great work.
I loved your comment regarding feeling uncomfortable in the first class lounge; if you are flying first class you deserve to be in the first class lounge no matter what you’re wearing or your luggage brand. I feel so many people don’t take advantage of all the perks that come with first class travel all because they don’t feel they deserve to be there and it’s sad. Thanks for being such a kind soul 💜
That has to be one of the most underwhelming first-class experiences I have ever seen. I would feel robbed if I had paid market value for that. Your travel mate Oskar got the best deal by far. Halfway through your review I wanted to see what his experience was like.
Hi Dan, I loved your video but what I even love the most is your attention to detail! the little comment on 8:53 about the "impostor syndrome" on first class, you managed to be humble yet elegant. Thank you :)
They should totally re-make that couch with a little coffee table and another couch facing it, then it would actually be useful as a communal space for dining or snacks
Can you imagine this calmness on “SPIRIT AIR” ….” Dear Valued Guest …. there’s non-culture shock, and then there’s this WELCOMING Hospitality Culture! This is a gorgeous way of stepping aboard ANY commercial flight. I run a family business, and that’s how I embrace my customers as soon as they step in. With gratitude 🙏
Hey Dan! I would love to see a video where you go over some of the scariest or worst things that have happened on flights. Thunderstorms/turbulence or other things like that. Just a suggestion! I loved the video!
I'm not vegan but watching quite a number of your videos, I gotta say I really enjoy the part of you having an extra ordered different meal and seeing how the airlines manage. I would like to see the range of other meals as well, sure, but I definitely think it says a lot about how much they try and what the quality is. So that's a plus for sure.
In my experience no one beats the amazing cabin crew of Singapore and their non stop service plus the extraordinary comfy first class suite with the option of combining two suites together. But I also think that Air France La premiere concierge service and the first class lounge at CDG is definitely incredible.
Thank you for bringing back the memory of the first time I travelled in First on Oman Air. You will find that their new aircraft have a new design. The main memory I have of travelling first from the oldMuscat airport was the fact that First Class passengers were collected and delivered to the aircraft by luxury cars that would pick you up from the ax/ drop you at the front door of the ac. Lovely video - thank you.
As someone who is just starting to get in to the travel Youtubing grind myself and hacking away at my credit card points, I cannot wait to take some business/first class seats and its this content that makes me inspired! Thankyou nonstop Dan for not being OVER-THE-TOP youtube personalities, but just being authentic.
Great video, as usual! And fun fact about your comment when you enter a first class lounge for the very first time. I remember feeling totally lost in there, and that everybody was literally checking me out (I was 27 back then), from the staff to other fellow first class travellers. Really felt like I didn't belong there. But hey, even though I was young, I was nicely dressed and after a while, I kinda felt comfy among most of the others in there 👍
I love flying Oman Air. I flew that first class cabin from Muscat to KL and it was just me and my mum. The staff are so wonderful and I love that lounge
Dan I've been watching your videos for a few years. I rarely comment on them, but I just want to say that you have the sweetest most pleasant disposition. I know we've never met in person, but I'm a pretty good judge of people, so I can tell it's genuine and not just for the video. Never change Dan and happy holidays.👍🙂
A phrase I'm pretty sure I'll never utter while flying: " they put the fruit tray by the couch" 😆Hope I can fly one of these luxurious middle Eastern airlines but for now I'll have to continue to put up with US airlines. Thanks for the peek into how nice flying can be!
I flew their 787 in first prior to covid - AMAZING experience in the lounge. The chef cooked one of everything, as I couldn’t choose. Took a nice nap and showered and brought me to the plane. I was so full, I ended up changing into pyjamas and slept the whole flight!
I’m surprised they didn’t let you bring Oskar in with you. Qantas always shows be to bring a guest into the first class lounge when I’m travelling and so do their partners. The only thing they restrict is access to the free massage.
Flied business with them. IT WAS AMAZING, it's so underrated ! The food was DELICIOUS and the seat was great too. The aisle access was really appreciated and the crew were lovely too . ITS SO UNDERRATED.
the center row sofa arrangement in the Oman Air A330-300 business class could serve as a relaxing multi-seat . . . featuring a full in-flight bar with a dedicated bar tender . . . kind of like Virgin Atlantic full service business class . . .
As someone who took their first solo flight aged six,I have to admit I have never enjoyed anything about the experience. Your excellent videos help enormously to keep one accustomed to the in flight experience. Also as someone who lived as a family in Oman fir nearly 30 years,I have to agree, that there are few people as sweet and friendly as The Omanis. Like your joint channel with Oskar, kudos to your production values& narration,as a result I've now blocked all your competitors, particularly the "influencer couple type" - we all know who they are Thank you and very best wishes to you&yours💥👊👌👏👏👏❤💯💙💙⭐💯✌

Love this. Thanks Dan and thanks Oskar for slumming it in bc for us. Quick question. How does one take advantage of the amex points if one has had an amex of some sort for over 30 years?
One of your videos showed up on my "recommended" feeds and I watched. I subscribed and have been binge watching all your videos ever since (since yesterday!) Thanks for all you reviews. I wish I could fly business and/or first class to such exotic places.
As always thanks for an amazing and useful review Dan! One thing I would greatly appreciate if you could add, as it is a pet peeve of mine: is there enough storage space for a medium ladies hand bag by the seat?! Often, in business class, there isn't!!
Thanks for the review, Dan. Oskar, here's hoping you can have better seats next rounds (wait, how about both of you draw lots and see who gets the better seat?) 😉 That being said, selamat datang (welcome) to Malaysia, Dan and Oskar! 😊 Hope you guys have a great time here, unless you have left by now?
I enjoy your meal reviews, please don’t stop them. I also appreciate that you eat continental style. We need more of that, especially in North America.
@15:00 It looks like the prongs on the headphone plug are different sizes. Are they actually the same size? I have an upcoming overseas trip and trying out a wireless headphone adapter.
in my mind theres 2 ways to approach first/business class. You can either get yourself some nice heeled boots, a pretty suitcase from Harrods and trench coat and strut through the airport playing the part (sounds so fkn fun) OR, id get just as much satisfaction walking around in my pyjamas and slippers in a business/1st class lounge knowing people are watching in horror, probably extremely jealous of my level of comfort 😂😂😂
That is so weird that I actually want to book it now😂 Gosh I live right next doors from these guys and I had no idea of what they did to this thing. Keep the great videos going Dan!
I've never flown anything above economy plus in my life, as I've always wanted to get one more flight rather than upgrade. Videos like this are great because they give me a chance to see what I'm missing out on!
I imagine the reason why there are no storage bins for the middle seats is because Oman didn't pay for a custom seat. They went for an off the shelf solution to reduce costs. They designed the cabin around the seat. The seat looks very similar to BA's Club World seat.
Oman Air's newer Business class is definitely my favourite by a mile. Just gagging for them to put all their flights back on post-covid. Thanks for another great Video
Considering my deep fascination with luxury travel reviews, especially those from you, Sam, and the rest, coupled with my own enthusiasm as an aviation 'nerd', I find myself impossible to ignore the environmental impact of the latest trends in luxury travel, such as the new trendy XL business class seats boasting sliding doors, particularly when confronted with extreme examples like the empty lounge space showcased in the video. Given these developments, I'm intrigued to hear your perspective on the future of lavish travel amidst the pressing need for deep decarbonization?
I must admit that I have not flown Oman Air since before the pandemic, but my previous experiences in business class out from and to London were always absolutely fantastic. In fact I used to fly United from Houston to London then Oman air to Muscat because it was an overall better experience than Emirates to Dubai then Muscat..I guess the pandemic really messed things up for them..
This A330 is beautiful, and the cabin to me still looks fine, it isn't that outdated, besides the ceiling in the first class looks like it was taken from the A330neo.
Flew them for the first time this year Doha to Muscat. It was economy but the service and light snack was great, crew was great and that 787 was very clean.
The phrase is “free rein” NOT “free range”. You were not talking about your egg selection, you were talking about your choice of first class seat. Loved the video and love the channel!
"Lemon..." what? Pleasem what is that drink? The most fabulous lemon drink I've ever had was from a cafe at the exit from Pompeii, where they offer one that is half lemon and half orange and is the most refreshing drink ever. Love the detailed review, lots of fun going along with you!
I think there might be a more logic reason behind the communal lounge. It could be that the two extra seats in first make their service standards (which are trough the roof) impossible because of a lack of space for more crew, catering or something else. So they had to fill up space.
I can't believe it took me so long to discover this awesome channel! Now I'm binge watching all the videos lol something soothing about watching these travel videos One slight change I would love to see is to get rid of those all white transitions between scenes or at the end, its just too bright with a full white screen when you're watching at night even with the lowest brightness on displays haha Love your videos, gonna continue binge watching now!
I died laughing when you mentioned the Easter egg about how Terminal 1 is more reminiscent of Diera 🤣. It would honestly be nice to see get renovated but I guess the priority will always be Emirates’ T3.
We did Oman 1st class to Dubai a few years ago.... but ours was sold as business ...Basically what you had, but ours was a different colour (not the browns/creams) it was greys. The amenity kit was basically the same, the food too. Your seat seemed Soo old fashioned! We couldn't fault the service, they treated us like royalty! Great vlog.
I come the car world, but love airplanes too, Oman's first class has to be what it feels like to have a custom spec 2018 Mercedes G65 AMG that was ordered in 2015, but you're still driving it in 2022. It's crazy nice, and even offers some useless but still impressive features for the time (twin-turbo V12 for the Merc, the 2 exterior cameras through the ancient ife for Oman) but if you had bought a normal off-the-lot 2020 G550 (base model, all new model not just a redesign), it's an insane improvement and now comes standard (Emirates or Etihad business class)
Random question, any idea why there are no direct flights from Manchester in the UK to Bangkok. There are direct flights from LHR so I'm unsure why no airlines offer it from a little further north
I just flew with Oman Air from Dammam, Saudi Aribia to Bangkok , transit in Muscat , economy class , it was the worst experience in my life , the plane from Muscat to Bangkok was terrible , even the AC was not working properly, the cabin was extremely hot. the seats were very narrow, and hard as a rock :-(
LOVE your videos...my wife and I watched like 8 of them in a row! But at 23:30 mark there is a typo. I think you mean to write 1.34 cents rather than 0.0134 cents unless you mean to write $0.0134 instead. Minor quibble - still subscribed and GREAT reviews. Pls keep them coming along with any new updates to past reviews!!
I've seen this video months ago and could not wait to visit Oman and that amazing lounge. Finally did it and also got myself a QSuite on the way there, all thanks to your tips and ideas. Thanks, Dan! I'll try and keep following it! Curious if you have noticed you used a song during the video that is played on all Latam Airlines while on boarding and landing procedures =)
Dan and everyone , check out the new promo award system that Flying Blue just initiated. - much improved and maybe the best of its kind from any airline, airline partners within a group or alliance..... that I've seen so far at least.

Thank you, Oskar, for slumming it in business class so Dan could bring us this video.

Random question, any idea why there are no direct flights from Manchester in the UK to Bangkok. There are direct flights from LHR so I'm unsure why no airlines offer it from a little further north
I just flew with Oman Air from Dammam, Saudi Aribia to Bangkok , transit in Muscat , economy class , it was the worst experience in my life , the plane from Muscat to Bangkok was terrible , even the AC was not working properly, the cabin was extremely hot. the seats were very narrow, and hard as a rock :-(
This was a fun video! Lots of awesome experiences!
It might consider as one of the most under rated airline!
PLEASE come to Fiji and review the Fiji Airways A350 from either Sydney or LA 😊
I've seen this video months ago and could not wait to visit Oman and that amazing lounge. Finally did it and also got myself a QSuite on the way there, all thanks to your tips and ideas. Thanks, Dan! I'll try and keep following it! Curious if you have noticed you used a song during the video that is played on all Latam Airlines while on boarding and landing procedures =)
Dan and everyone , check out the new promo award system that Flying Blue just initiated. - much improved and maybe the best of its kind from any airline, airline partners within a group or alliance..... that I've seen so far at least.
The business class seats are the same one on Asiana's 772 HL7775 and HL7791 but they used as first class seats
