Our ensuite door has a stopper to the floor and a bungy cord to hold it back. Check around your door at night and get chels to shine a bright torch from the inside around the door down low, we have the same van and we found a gap down there letting dust in. P.S. check your car manual for those torsion bars. not allowed on PX3 Safe travels.
This is good advice. We used them until we actually read our car manual and found out they weren’t recommended for our car, and haven’t used them since, and 3 caravans and car combos later, have never missed them.!
@@cynthiakavanagh6972 yes it’s just all personal preference and we feel like we prefer having them on for highway driving. I don’t think there is a right or wrong way 😃
@@CaravanAdventureAus fair enough. As I said, we were following the instructions from our car manufacturer (VW Amarok, now the same as Ford Ranger). 😊😊
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Just a heads up. I saw that the en-suite door was closed when you went in to check the van. You need to secure the en-suite sliding door as it will slide back and forth and eventually cause damage. Normally there is a stopper at the bottom that you engage with your foot and a latch that also holds it in the open position. Safe travels!
I feel your Pain !, The Gibb has given me its fair share of problems , mainly the drive to Ellenbrae and to Mitchell Falls, Shame about Gibb River Station, I'm curently at Mt Elizabeth, Hope you get your gimbal fixed and look forward to your next Vid. Happy Days !
Wonderful capture of the GRR experience. Did exactly the same as you in picking the quiet at first, crazy later camp at Ellenbrae. Gibb River Crossing is wonderful, and you certainly scored the best spot. Ended up spending 4 days there, it's a great vibe! Great to see Juice having the best of times!

Love the GRR (have travelled it twice in the last 6 years) and love to live it all again through others, so thanks for sharing. I have to say though, you haven’t had a bad start; you’ve gotten off lightly and I hope it continues. My poor inlaws were rebuilding drawers by the time we arrived at Drysdale station and cleaning miles of dust out of their van every day we were on the GRR; they were plagued by problems all the way! Chelsea, you having lived until you open the door to an open fridge and sauces/foods all over the inside of the fridge and floor 🤣🤣🤣. Those waterholes at Ellenbrae were a surprise gift, weren’t they? I can’t believe you left the mukmak on the step 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Happy travels 😊😊

Hi guys, wow video fantastic so far scones look pretty good it’s crazy gonna charge it $20 for a dog. I have two dogs cost me $40 a night that’s madness. Keep up the good work Cliff from Logan city
Hey guys! Great vid as always! $20 a night for a dog? Tell him he’s dreamin’. Just wondering if you’d ever consider making a list of places you’ve stayed and recommend? Especially because Juice is with you and not everyone is dog friendly. I hope you got everything fixed! Looking forward to the next adventure vid. ❤
Another awesome video guys. thanks so much. Quick question - I noticed that you travel with your blinds up/closed. We were advised to always travel with the screens and blinds down/open - apparently less stress on the clips, tracks, fabric, especially off the bitumen. Would love you to ask your audience for their view. thank you
Hey thanks for watching! Yes we’ve heard that too but trialed both ways and find them all the way closed works for us. It’s also been pretty hot up North and if they are open it’s like a hot fish bowl when we arrive to camp 🥵☀️

But let's face it their are people that shit everywhere and just leave it. Im glad you have Juice it gives another side to travelling ❤
I’ve been camping/travelling around Australia for 25 years. Never ran into any caravaner that wasn’t going in for repairs, just got van back from repairs or something just broke today.
We’ve had the same issue with the dometic freezer door opening on rough roads. Ended up putting a child lock onto it and it hasn’t bounced open since..
Great video. We did Ellenbrae last year. We stayed in the other quieter campground. Certainly quieter but a little more barren in terms the ground and landscape. Drysdale now? Hopefully you’re heading up to Mitchell Falls as well
Hi Guys We did part of the Gibb, and blew two tyres. We have a Foed Ranger Wildtrak and had factory tyres still fitted. I was just wondering if you have upgraded your tyres on your Ranger? The goodyear wranglers we got are absolutely rubbish.
Really enjoying the GRR content - plenty to think about. Hey Bryce, I noticed on another youtube you were installing a Fastway E2 weight distribution hitch - do you still have it on the current van? Is the E2 what you were talking about in this video about disconnecting the arms because of some noise? I'm looking into getting a set and wondered if/when they should be disconnected and if there are any issues?
Great vid thank you guys. Really helpful, useful info. Quick question if I may. Do you run sensors on both car and van tyres, and how long have you had this system? Thanks heaps
Hey John! We have inbuilt sensors on the Ranger tyres. We’ve had the TPMS for a couple months now. We especially wanted it for the GRR. A few times we lost signal to the caravan tyres because of the canopy on the car we think 🤔 so we’ve ordered a repeater from the online store ‘A247’ which boosts the signal.

Great information. I know where I’ll be staying. Home Valley sounds great. Not all dog owners are responsible dog owners. Don’t get me wrong I love my dog. However what can be really annoying what I refer to as OPD’s or other peoples dogs. Some of which sometimes destroy the peace and quiet that others may be seeking. Not the dogs fault. There are many reasons for a barking dog but if you are seeking peace and quiet and would prefer not to have your aural personal space invaded by the sound of unwanted dog barking then that’s what you are seeking. Some people don’t believe others should be afforded the peace and quiet they seek and therefore don’t consider the sounds of their dogs to be of any consequence. Which is just pure self entitlement which is why I think it’s great that atleast one of the stations charges so much for dogs that it would make some dog owners not want to stay. 😎👊👍🇦🇺
