@@redadmiralofvalyria867 I still get the impression that while Rosalind was insulted at being accused of the affair (it's implied Comstock probably sexually harassed her), she also may have felt guilt at telling Lady Comstock the truth as it led to her death. Might be why she and Robert wanted to help Elizabeth come to peace with the whole thing.

It explains why Lady Comstock assumed Rosalind did have an affair with her husband. Comstock likely harassed her a few times and it was noticed but shoved under the rug.
