Cork or leather filler? I'm guessing leather would hold it's shape for a longer period for the life of the boot. I can't tell what it is from the video but it looks like leather.
Other than cost (or possibly style or tradition), I don't know why more companies that make boots with a Christy sole wouldn't go this route. Really makes for a durable and beefy looking boot.

The workmanship is excellent but who in the world would want a wedge sole. At 71 years old, I have never wanted or needed a pair of boots with a wedge sole. They seem to be totally useless.

Great job! What's the conditioner you use on the uppers? It looks like Bick 4 bottle. I really like the rich luster it creates on the leather.
I think it's Cadillac leather lotion.
