Good suggestion on keeping receipts. I don't think the product worked well for me (for whatever reason), so I'm close to returning it. This is good basic instruction material, and particularly for those who are new to lawn care. Thanks . . . and stay healthy.
Finally got around to spraying this in my backyard, let's see how she does. Purchased my home in Nov, fresh sod. Laid pre-M, and milorganite previously. Love watching your videos keep up the great work.
Got the Spectracide Weed Stop for hose-end sprayers, also usable in pressure tank sprayers. No workie. It has the 3 key ingredients, but apparently has only a miniscule amount of each one, so it looks to me like it can be less expensive, because it's mostly just water.
Interesting. Last year I applied the granular version of this on my centipede grass and it worked great. There must be some differences in this and Spectracide Weed Stop for lawns plus crabgrass preventer granules for it not to be safe on centipede.
I bought the same 32 oz product but with the hose attachment for "ready to spray," as the store was out of the plain jug you show (which is the same product) but I figured I'd just unscrew the hose attachment and mix the liquid into my 2 gallon pump sprayer and the directions did not give mixing rates (cause your hose automatically does it right?) so this helped me...called Specticide and they could not answer the question! kept saying "it's a different product," and they couldn't tell me the water flo rate to figure it out myself ... so we shall see.
If I use this in the next few months or so to kill off the weeds and the centipede grass in my lawn.. what's the chances of seeding bremuda seeds in the early spring and having success changing my yard over to a bremuda lawn. I'd love to hear your advice, thanks from SC
Lee Mitchell if you want to kill your lawn completely off you’ll need to use glyphosate a few times. Wait 8 weeks after it dies, till lawn then plant 🌱 seeds. That’s a process in it self. Using this spectracide does not have the killing power to totally kill your lawn. You’ll get more damage rather than a total kill.
I personally start fresh next time I use it. Some herbicides can eat away at the internals of the pump and seals. Best to clean 🧼 in thoroughly and use a new batch especially if you use this for multiple items. But if you decide to leave it in that one container, then use it all season. Then dispose of it at the end of the season.
I was going to buy a bottle of Bayer weed killer and Walmart had the Spectrum 2-4-D stuff for 5-bucks. I'm not fond of spraying chemicals around the house but when there is more weeds than grass it becomes necessary. I used the same stuff four years ago and it took more than one application to make a difference.
Jon Hawkins actually it all comes together, I purchased that one a in store Walmart. You can find them when the season starts back but the also sell them at Walmart.com , Scotts has one just like it but you’ll have to go to Home depot for that version.
Spectracide works for me nutsedge and crab grass if you have a big lawn like i have 22k sq ft , you have to section your lawn off into 1000 sq ft zones i made a mistake and under measured a thought I was doing 1000 ft but was doing 600 ft and i think that was key into it working. I went back and forth with 1 gallon until it was gone in the section then moved to the next with a fresh batch.
Mr. BYD I bought this same sprayer...question did you have to re-pump the tank to complete spot spraying your yard? My yard is 5k and i want to planket spray it. Thx
julio CS normally it’s one gallon of water per 1k, so if you have a 2 gallon sprayer you’ll probably have to pump it again for those 2 k. After that you’ll need to refill. So 5k is five gallons of water which also is the entire bottle of weed stop at 6.2 oz per gallon of water.
BYD, can you do a blanket spray of this in the fall? I walked my yard today and I still see crabgrass, you told me would die off when temps get colder, some sedge and some other weeds. Or should I put down my prodiamine, got it a few days ago, next month and spot spray? Thanks for all your knowledge and this awesome channel!!!
DevilDog FoxCompany apply Prodiamine ASAP, yes you can Blanket spray, won’t hurt but know exactly what weeds you are aiming for and that the weed control you use is targeting those weeds, but if temps are low the weed spray won’t be that effective.

A couple of things, you do realized that this video was made when the BermudaGrass was dormant and second that’s not my neighbors yard that the common area which has fescue which thrives in cool weather but thanks 🙏🏾 for watching Courtney 👍🏾
Killing me with kindness when I pull out my jokes. I feel guilty now. Bad timing to make that video something to consider buyers are all about eye candy and on video explain everything to detail. If u had mentioned that on video no joke that said u know your stuff continued success@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral
@@courtneyduncan6106 I agree, I apologize to the 56 thousand people who fOund value in this video 👍🏾
