God that first mekk-knight player is actually so stupid, why did he not literally just activate the drnm he set and then go from there (It's me, i was the mekk-knight player. In my defense I was so confused by the purple nightfall-sahasrara interaction that i didn't have that much time left and just panicked and ended turn, and i was also playing a far older version of the deck i honestly forgot i even had in my deck folder on edopro)
Getting this for my roomates to learn the game with next semester. A $40 deck that can beat the best deck of the format and is super linear? Yes please
It's not Super linear, because a lot of the time, an IP protected Avramax, or an IP Berserker+ IP Draco Masters is a better field than Sahasrara, and you often want to make Draco Berserker means that you do have to make choices, and a lot of it is meta calls, but it definitely can be played linearly to great effect.

For the past 5 days I was testing around with my janky Tenyi deck, making it an "The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister" turbo deck for the fun of it and now a TMT Tenyi gets uploaded. Now destiny, if you'd be so kind to finally end my pathetic existence I would be eternally grateful for it.
Don’t forget the onmi-negate/waking the dragon that is the tenyi counter trap! It’s always fun to summon an almost invincible blues eyes ultimate dragon for free. Also there’s an easy combo to get sahasrara, Draco berserker, and a mini mare mare token + whatever else you have in hand with just a tenyi + vessel or you need a tenyi + access to Ashuna and mare mare. I’ve been playing this deck and only this deck since it came out. You’re right about the wyrm thing, but it’s not all bad, we have mare mare. Great video!

Not gna lie that deal really sweatened my urge to subscribe. ALSO, given that main KonamiHQ is in japan wyrms make sense, since in asian culture/folklore wryms and dragons are quite drastically different.
A little hint on my side: With minimal extra deck change you can make '@ignister the arrival' with 4k first turn. He even interacts nicely with his token generation for the deck.
I have played this deck in two regionals before. And I love it! I would like to increase it's pro's. First: the deck can make an otk fast (the synchro is basically borrelsword),the deck can go fast but also, it can go slow, interestingly you can grind a game thanks to a little interaction between the earth and the light tenyi, they can cycle through each other making so you always have resources for making a board each turn, plus, the earth tuner can recover another copy of itself from banished! For tech options, kaijus are great, since they+vishuda can clear two of the opponent negates on field. The other one is (with a more utilitarian strategy)a bunch of traps, the deck can somewhat put a tower, since your resources can be cycle with more efficiency than what if seems at first glance.

This deck is basically "Bad Orcust." Why? Cause it has basically all the good things that made Orcust good: Consistency, Grind Game, Recursion (sort of with Pot of Avarice), decent turn 1 boards and can OTK decently well, depending on your techs. POT OF AVARICE? DANG IT! Why didn't I think of that? Vanity's Ruler is actually more preferred since you can still special summon all you want, but your opponent can't. only drawback is the 2 tributes to summon.
Something more unique to Tenyi (not really good though): Depending on the build it can have a roughly 80% chance to open with a combo capable of making The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister with 4000 ATK or a roughly 50% chance to open The Arrival with 5000 ATK. And that's before Rise of the Duelist.

NICE, I always wanted to play Tenyi because of how cool the cards looked but I already had decks and didn't think they could compete hard enough but with recent support they clearly have become a contender. The Link 4 is a strong boss monster and getting it setup can definitely snowball the game
Wyrm makes me think of the Ancient Dragons with piles of Cash, not like those Millennial Dragons who can't even afford a Cave, maybe if they stopped buying so much Megalonuara Toast
I don't know how much this matters, but Tenyi is REALLY good at abusing Lava Golem thanks to Vishuda V-Fiend is really good too but Golem can represent either 2 Kaijus at worst or an almost total board wipe at best. And since this deck doesn't normal summon ever it never messes with your gameplan
The loss to Traptrix seems fitting if only because Tenyi is the first deck the protagonist of the OCG Structures manga used and Traptrix is his older sister's deck. Neat.
Can someone explain what Selene does? Your only spellcaster is Effect Veiler, so are you supposed to normal summon effect veiler after putting 3 spells in the grave so you can get your effect veiler back on the field?
Tenyi's gotta be the strangest archetype in the entire TCG. It's 1 of 5 (yes, 5) total archetypes for the Wyrm type, and will probably be the closest thing Gemini monsters will ever get to being considered "viable."

MBT man I really enjoy your videos, my only needed criticism is that it really sucks to get this video and the spoilers of the winner of the finals of the YCS #5 without seeing it. I enjoyed this video but I couldnt help but feel most of it as if I missed a chapter of my tv show but its nowhere to be found, only to wait for next weeks episode where I will get some sort of flashback towards it.. outside of that really good stuff, just really wished the YCS video came first then this..
tbh i cringed at the trap trix player summoning the pk monster before using the 2 parallel exceed for raflesia he could get nibirued you summon raflessia as your fifth summon since she can negate nibiru with gravehole which procs sera to search a trap.

Not really the most optimal build but still not bad. Going into the link 4 and the link 3 might be more oppressive than going into the vanities. It's really player preference though. Back it up with their counter trap and you are pretty much set. Than if they summon you use link 4 effect to create a token and they have to get past 2 monsters before they can get your effect monsters cleared.
Because your boss monsters are non effect monsters. And you fill your gy with the spirit tenyi monsters that give different protection as well as the field spell giving protection and the link 4 is a weird one. Causing your opponent to have to deal with your non effect monsters first but with the field spell and gy protection they cannot so you pretty much stun your opponent out with large monsters and than beat them down. Easy peasy.
Turbo-ing out the effect of the mekk-knight field spell "World Legacy Scars" which can send your opponents entire hand and extra deck to the graveyard by banishing 8 mekk-knights with different names from your field or graveyard
The balance team was scared of releasing another broken dragon archetype. Yes MBT, you are right. Except for one thing: I don't believe Konami is having an actual balancing team by looking back at past years of broken meta formats.
