I play Deep Sea Diva in this Nimble Fish Synchro variant, I don't know what to say about the deck other than it somehow works, but it needs the level 4 fish armageddon knight for the deck to even work. Ugh even that deck has a way to rip 4 cards out of the opponents hand even if its a lot less consistent and is basically only a side strategy for the deck.
Why not add deep sea minstrel? Let’s you look at your opponents hand and snag that nibiru right out lol or any other problematic card that might mess your combo up
I'd drop the dupe for a jet synchron; it's a brick in hand but it makes it really easy to summon omega. I'd also drop the third copy of megalo for another pike; drawing into pike is just really good for playing under nibiru and megalo can clog your hand sometimes if you're going first. I'd also drop the morays for two avarice but this one's totally personal preference; moray ups consistency but avarice ups your plays. You're gonna put 5 waters in grave for moulin anyway so you never have to worry about avarice not being live and on top of that it puts your dragoons back into the deck for follow up plays or even potentially using them again in the same turn if you draw it. Overall tho, this is a good, very standard merlantian build.
The salad player misplayed a bit at 9:57, he didn't use wolf effect to recycle rage. Anyways, props to him for making a comeback from that slight misplay.

Mermails ripping 5 cards from your hand with a negate on board are why I think Wind Up Carrier could come back with hunter at 3 and it wouldn't matter anymore
I play mermail, but I prefer a control variant with Apo rather than hand loop. I know its less consistent I still feel that putting up 3-4 negates consistently is decent enough.

Why didnt you play any other new deep sea cards. There is a combo with the field spell and diva that loops all cards if not 5 and can't lose to nibiru. The new deep sea minstrel rips it from their hand right away

This deck is kinda weird now. The hand looping is quite degenerate and may end up getting Moulinglacia banned but using Diva as a normal summon is incredibly frail as it loses to ash big time. I personally don't like to build decks that may get hit on the ban list or that revolve around a degenerate strategy. Sad because Mermail is very aesthetically pleasing.

God I wish Yugioh would just implement Set Rotation (not the card). I’d love it if current decks had formats for themselves, rather than the same few decks constantly popping up every few formats.
I mean I get what you're saying, but I personally feel like the most fun part of yugioh is getting new cards and learning how these interact with older cards thinking of new strategies yourself, rather than playing only what is new, that said this isn't commonly seen in the metagame all that often, but amongst friends it is a ton of fun
After dipping into a card game with set rotation (pokemon) I gotta admit... I really disagree. Pokemon does their set rotation *fine* but its still a huge bummer just to have the deck you love to play now unplayable because of it, yea expanded exists but it isn't paid as much attention. Having every era of card design able to be played in the games main attraction is the allure of Yugioh for most people.
