I highly recommend the J Spec Parts sideskirts. I have them on my NB and it’s easily one of my favorite simple cosmetic mods I’ve ever made. Also perfect if you’re not a fan of the NB Tupperware but still want a more aggressive look
So you run the side skirt without any Tupperware? I’ve only seen one pic of a car with only the jspec skirts on and I feel like it would look even better paired with small tupperware, but I haven’t seen enough angles to be 100% on that
Their parts look good but communication and lead times are horrible. Been waiting 2 months for my side skirts with no communication at all. Do not recommend Jspec
I am so glad you're showing this trunk spoiler, I'm having a hard time finding a spoiler looking as good as your NA spoiler, and I was considering buying the whole trunk. It's looking sooooo cool man!
Nice work. It has come along well. It was exciting to see some new content from you. I still prefer NA'swhich is ironic since my 1992 miata's suspension, brakes, center console and running gear are from a 2001 donor car.
On the 3rd brake light put a thicker gasket to get it flush then use double side tape for final install and maybe light coat of RTV just in case for leak insurance
I Fricking Love the Green!! But..........Green and Purple are Amazing together and you Defiantly should have left it purple!!! in fact you should have got a purple hood to match it!!! 😀
Greg maybe another video is to upgrade/mode the stock nb1 lights .. Got one and they are sooo bad ! But I prefer nb1 face rather fl so need an idea here !
I highly recommend NO SIDE SKIRTS MADE BY ANYONE. Make your own out of polyurethane as I did. My 2000 Miata is black on black. Red and black seats. A 2018 Porsche Cayman front bumper cover was incorporated into the original Miata cover (not fiberglass but flexible polyurethane epoxy). Rear tailights were handmade as well and look like an exotic car. Rollbar has leds that show when top is down. There are no emblems. Rear bumper cover will be done next with another exotic rear bumper. Car is not lowered with 18 inch black wheels.😁😁😁
@@TheCarPassionChannel I'll post pics when car is up for sale. Most will not be able to afford it considering the amount of time, labor and money I've put into it. It's all good. Not desperate to sell. 😁😁😁
Hey there! So I got on your website to try to communicate with you but it seems like you’re only communication is through social media which I have none are there any other options?
Did you keep the factory trunk springs? CarbonMiata recommended I remove them but they don’t have a solution to give the trunk enough “pop” to get out of the latch.
Ducktail trunk lid 8/10 Rear diffuser 0/10 (that’s an assault on the eyes) Ebay lip 4/10 Having said that, I’m an OEM guy. I have the front and rear spats (which I optioned from the dealer in 2003, when I bought the car) and I have added over the years a Mazdaspeed, front spoiler and a Mazdaspeed trunk spoiler
@@SXF_turbo At MOST. I netted 6whp on my BP4W (113->119) from a 91 octane dyno tune. 100% stock everything else. If you have bolt ons the gains will be greater
I have been binge listening to your videos since I found you a month or so ago I’m wondering if you ever tried to max out horsepower on 91 octane just to see where that was before you went to E 85 yes there is a video on that I must have missed it so far
If it's anything that's made to order, it's definitely to be expected, so it's probably best to email them before ordering to get an ETA on a particular product
I'm trying to blend into traffic, both visually and audibly. No hood exits, screamer pipes. Swapping the bov for bpv. Granted if I lived some place that wasn't all up in my business about vehicles I'd probably still worry more about function than form but after both miatas are the way I want them and I'm convinced I'm not attracting mod nazis then yeah aero and high visibility is a go.
that diffuser is wildly expensive $300 when there's the basically the exact same thing on ebay for $50 another $5 at your local hardware store fr 2 pieces of metal to add the mount holes on the front and boom.
hey gregg i love your videos! :) do you think you could make a video on the differences between all the different years of NA and NB? Just dont know anything about things like "shortnose" and other stuff like that.
"Installing this diffuser will be the easiest thing to do on your miata, first remove that 17mm bolt..." Bruh, I tried removing that 17mm bolt when working on my (30 yo, a tad rusty) NA, it was the hardest thing I ever had to do on my miata :p (didn't even suceed, damn thing is welded with rust)
The price of that R theory diffuser is ridiculous, you literally showed us how to make the same thing for a 10th of the price a year or two ago 😂 not a chance I'd pay 400 for that....
i wish carbon miata actually spent more time making thier body parts fit and work as OEM. Having to do the third brake light like that honestly looks horrible and there is no excuse for why they cant make it work as factory. Espically with how expensive they sell these body parts for.
Front lip is a no from me dawg. OEM Optional NB1 style looks so much better. It also evens out the height of the front bumper lower edge, as the stock bumper with no lip is lower in the middle and looks a bit weird.
I cannot tell a lie. Showing that third brake light install really took some courage.
I cringed...... lol

Highly reccomend JSpecParts also. Local to me and a good friend, he makes a great product.

Honestly i prefer stock look. Slightly lower suspension, set of good wheels and roll bar is all what's needed in my opinion.
I’m so excited for the dyno day. Mean green street fighting machine.
Lip definitely does the NB1 a lot of favours, even if it's a cheap one. Boot is the best of the bunch!
YESSSS MIATA MONDAY!!
A front lip and garage vary canards completely changed the look of my 03! A cheap lip does wonders!
It's looking nice Gregg. Keep up the good work.
The miata dad has spoken
Yess! Looks great Greg!! I just bought a 99 miata and I'm so excited to start wrenching on it!
I am so glad you're showing this trunk spoiler, I'm having a hard time finding a spoiler looking as good as your NA spoiler, and I was considering buying the whole trunk. It's looking sooooo cool man!
What was your trunk spoiler on the NA Greg? Big fan
@carpassionchannel If your interested in any products hit me up and I'm sure we can work something out 😏
Alex exposed you on Insta so I knew this was coming 🤣Looks sick Kreg!
normally, i dont like green... but... on this car... for some strange reason... i love it! thank u sir

Sick rolling shots man! 😎 Was fun shooting with you! Also I'm definitely eyeing one of those diffusers for my car now.
diffuser for the win .. looks good 😊
Looks great! Enjoy watching your build since the beginning

That green is gorgeous
The diffuser looks sick
Great video love the carbon Miata spoiler!
yup, thats deffo NA front lip, love that moulded trunk,
Shame the fitment is awful
On the 3rd brake light put a thicker gasket to get it flush then use double side tape for final install and maybe light coat of RTV just in case for leak insurance
Time for a hard top spoiler too
I have an 86.5 B-2000 and a 2002 Protege LX. MAZDAS RULE!!!
I went with I.L. motorsport's front lip for my NB.
Subtle, very cheap and fits perfectly!
Maaan! Great vid! 🤩
Is that defuser steel, aluminum or plastic?
I Fricking Love the Green!! But..........Green and Purple are Amazing together and you Defiantly should have left it purple!!! in fact you should have got a purple hood to match it!!! 😀

Looking great for sure!
Sweet diffuser. I think I might just make that V3 one work on my MK2.
Greg maybe another video is to upgrade/mode the stock nb1 lights .. Got one and they are sooo bad ! But I prefer nb1 face rather fl so need an idea here !
Agree. Need some black on there or something
These mods are the 💣
Looks great 🔥
That dude’s reaction tho 😂
RTheory rear diffuser looks awesome on your NB! They make some very nice parts for the Miata
Its a good day you posted a video
Looks nicer 👍🏽
what you need is
Miata fastback top.
and duckfin. yessir
i fuck with the barney colors dawg.
where them sideskirts at???
oh my that diffuser 😋
It looks sick brother
The “ds style” front lip for the nb looks way better imo.
R Theory, Canadian made! If you want that car to look even better you need to install R Theory's solid aluminum side skirts.
Can’t find a rear diffuser for my NC :(
Sickness. Side skirts next?
The best an cheapest way is to paint the headlights black inside an get some black bulbs for the front and rear indicators
I hope you have installed some chequer plate over that drain channel on the drive by now. That would be one simple mod to save all mods.
now you need the v2 dual led tails, if you see the orange car on carbon miata, its mine! :)
The lip kinda looks like it's meant for the nb2 bumper
What size wheels and tires are you running? And which wheels are those. Beautiful car, love the channel.

You should also put a maruha crank in this car : )
Does the Diffuser had any effect?
That's a NA Ebay special"Garage Very" lip. I've run the same one for 5 years now except my is 4 seperate pieces drift stitched together. 😅
Did you keep the factory trunk springs? CarbonMiata recommended I remove them but they don’t have a solution to give the trunk enough “pop” to get out of the latch.
I left mine in place!
Dude when are you gonna do some track stuff?
Missed opportunity having a Hulk Nitrous Miata with that purple trunk
I think the lip is for the Facelifted NB
Car looks great, now only if we can do something about the driver😂😂 jk great work man keep it up
Ducktail trunk lid 8/10
Rear diffuser 0/10 (that’s an assault on the eyes)
Ebay lip 4/10

Get the mark 2.5 headlights and bumper.
what exhaust is that. got the same diffuser and the exhaust i got is too big , the diffuser is almost touching the ground and im barely lowered
M2 Motorsports exhaust from Bofi Racing
@@TheCarPassionChannel thank ya
do you think installing an apr wing producing 123 lb force will break that carbon fiber trunk?
Looking good!
So a net weigh gain or loss from the diffuser/CF swap? My guess is a small loss in power/weight😎
Negligible difference, if there is any weight gain it's probably only 1-2lbs.
How much would you think a regular stock NA8 can benefit from a Megasquirt and a tune over the stock ECU?
10-15hp
@@SXF_turbo At MOST. I netted 6whp on my BP4W (113->119) from a 91 octane dyno tune. 100% stock everything else.

Where do you get the wrap you used? and is that something that's easy enough to do on your own?
It’s not something you can do on your own. You at least need someone who knows how to wrap a car to do it.
He has a video on it a couple videos back
my biggest gripe with carbon miata is the shipping. all their stuff looks so cool, but damn, shipping kills it.

Not bad sir! Not bad at all.
Heard a lot of Carbon Miata products take a long time to ship. Any word on that?
I'm guessing that's why they sent him the trunk off one of their shop cars
If it's anything that's made to order, it's definitely to be expected, so it's probably best to email them before ordering to get an ETA on a particular product

Please fix that third brake light and the Panel gaps. It will look 💯 better 🤩
Looks yummy for sure!!!
Really Nice and everything but all of this things are illegal in some countries (Including mine)
please change that front bumper and headlights with nb facelift model
slight bumpercut, lift the exhaust a bit and integrate the diffusor, please.
that diffuser is wildly expensive $300 when there's the basically the exact same thing on ebay for $50 another $5 at your local hardware store fr 2 pieces of metal to add the mount holes on the front and boom.
If you cut out the rear bumper, do you think the rear diffuser could tuck up a little higher?
I think he said the limiting factor to how high he could go was the muffler
Bigger wing please
your cars are so nice, I think you should ditch the ebay lip and get something baller off of rev9
hey gregg i love your videos! :) do you think you could make a video on the differences between all the different years of NA and NB? Just dont know anything about things like "shortnose" and other stuff like that.
Plenty of info around bud. Short nose refers to the crank on early 1.6 cars as they are prone to wobble and die.
