I remember having the title menu play the first chorus on loop and just dancing. My dad walked in and caught me dancing and now calls whatever move I was executing "The Scooby Dance". I'll never live it down.
I love The Song Land of A Million Drums from Scooby Doo. It's lots of fun on Bus trips, on ETS Buses, Strathcona County Buses, Calgary Transit in Calgary, last HSR Buses in Hamilton my old place in Ontario. It's got a wonderful beat!
I danced to this for the first grade talent show and got booed off, it still makes me laugh so much cause I just know the spirit in me that day was absolutely untamed.
Wish Spotify would just add this already, cuz the cover artists they have performing it right now are close, but they don’t sound right. There’s something they can’t do that OutKast is able to, but I don’t know what
Shaggy and rappers getting blitzed and then going into the hood, strapped, to find someone who stole their "scooby snacks." Scooby Doo was different in the early 00s 😂
This movie haunts my very being. Everyday I wake up hearing this song around the corner. Too scared to look behind me and see scrappy doo. I no longer look in the mirror, frightened of what I might witness. I can see pink demons out the corner of my eye, I turn out of instinct but I never see anything. I can feel shaggys presence as I pick out fruit at the store. I’ve learned to not question Scooby snacks that appear in my bags. A hunger has overcome me, I do not know how much longer I have.
If you have these issues, may I recommend the church of Shaggy? I had this same issues, with the haunting words of “puppy power” that still send shivers down my spine. But with The condolence of Shaggy looking over my shoulder, I rest easier at night.
Matthew Lillard and his co-star Freddie Prinze Jr. starred together in the Wing Commander movie (based on the games by Origin Systems/Electronic Arts) 3 years before in 1999.
My 9-year-old self was so hyped when I heard Scooby-Doo coming out in 2002, and for Spider-Man. First time I heard about it was when we were at the children's hospital because my little brother was constipated or something, and I was in the waiting room with my oldest sister watching Nick at Nite while she was asleep. Then when it was commercial time, I saw a commercial for the Scooby-Doo film, and i was so excited I woke up my sister to tell her that they were coming out with a live action Scooby Doo. To get me more hyped up, I would always go to Auchan and listen to the soundtrack of the movie. Outkast and Shaggy were like the 2 best songs on that CD
When I listened to Ms. Jackson as a little kid and got to the “Never meant to make your daughter cry” part, I was so curious why that voice sounded just like the voice from that song in the 2002 Scooby Doo movie. Now, I know the truth.
When I was a kid I watched this movie alot of times and when this was on the main menu, this song was playing over and over it end up being stuck in my head for years.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but one verse references The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, and even mentions Vincent Price, the actor who voiced Vincent Van Ghoul.
How is there NOT a spooky island in real life? Buy a desert island, move some carnies in, set up some rides, create a larped death cult for the theme, and turn the whole island into a giant club! If you made it a cheap boat ride out and made it affordable then Ide be the first to show up!
But if you REALLY want to use it for good, you could even use some of the funding to help out the local marine environment. But that's a whole other story. (But a good one!)
