"This time, the monsters are real." That tagline stuck with me from the start. This was the first Scooby Doo installment to be GENUINELY scary and kicked off the trend of things being MUCH more dangerous and horrifying for the gang as opposed to the original series'. And while the latter movies and series' continue this trend they still can't hold a candle to the one that started it all.
True, earlier Scooby-Doo media where the monsters are just human villains in costumes are like made-up stories from our parents when we are kids about monsters come to get us if we don't obey them, but by the time this movie was released, it's like as we fully grown up, we start to see household objects move on their own and hearing news reports of people being possesed by demons, knowing that we now know that monsters, ghosts, demons and the supernatural do exist, our parents during our childhoods aren't lying.
Wasn't the whole point of the series that the monsters weren't real? Asking 'cuz I wouldn't know much as I'm not a big fan, in fact I very much dislike the franchise with a few exceptions.

This is the PRIME villain song that isn't actually sung by the villains. It is one of those rare instances where you don't actually NEED the villains to be singing the song for us to be able to enjoy it. Full disclosure, even after almost 21 years since this movie came out, I will STILL gladly rock out to this whenever I see it on my feed.Kudos, Sky-cycle, for creating a piece of music that all 90s kids will forever love.
I’ll never forget watching this as a kid when I realized that the zombies were indeed real zombies. Then when this masterpiece starts playing just as the zombies appear out of nowhere, it absolutely gets the heart racing. It fits the montage perfectly as it embraces the horror aspect of dealing with real monsters and not freaks in costumes. What really drives home this movie is when we realize that the cat people were the true monsters and that the zombies were trying to help the gang the whole time. That’s why Zombie Island will always be the greatest Scooby-Doo movie ever!
I love that twist...it was the best way to do it in a kid friendly movie...we couldn't really have the gang mow them down with the Mystery Machine or unlock Scooby-Doo inner rapid dog...granted that would make for dope Mature verson but as a kid it was perfect.
@@StarWolf_88 We still see a trio of cat creatures turn to ashes in what sounded like an agonising way and it looked painful too but I do wonder did the pirates go to heaven or where they sent to the H.E double hockey sticks for being the ones who set it all in motion.

I re-watched this movie just yesterday after not having seen it for almost 20 years. I loved it so much, it brought me back to my childhood and I didn’t realize that I remembered every word to this song even after 20 years. This is by far, the best, Scooby Doo movie out there.
For context: (Spoilers Ahead) Scooby was on the decline due to being "childish". It was too safe, outdated and cliche. Then you see this movie, which not only has a song literally deconstructing the formula but was much more scary. At this point, you would expect the Zombies to just be a bunch of people in costumes for some gold or something, but then Fred freakin' DECAPITATES one by mistake and they start running. And then, out of FREAKIN' NOWHERE, THIS starts playing, this amazing rock song that embraces the horror aspect of Scooby Doo while also embracing the fun at the same time (Especially the "Here comes the really scary part!"). At that moment everyone knew, SCOOBY DOO WAS BACK!
@@notfred2319 me too bud I feel like Scooby Doo is just be treated childish again its time to make the costumed people real monsters again, being creepy and fun at the same time. Mystery Incorporated is a good example of how they can make Scooby being serious along with Zombie Island
They really didn't have to go this hard for a Scooby-Doo movie... But they did it for us. _Edit:_ Breh I just found out they made a sequel called "Return to Zombie Island" about a year or two ago. _Second Edit:_ I just watched it and it was *TRASH* lol spare yourselves the time. 😂
NatyelMaligno It’s not worth buying. It’s all over the place and it doesn’t even follow the generic story of a Scooby doo movie. The only thing cool about it is the remix they made of the original Scooby Doo song. So I’d say rent it at RedBox, if you really want to see it. Definitely not worth 20 bucks.
The scene where the gang are simply saying "No" as Fred slowly discovers the zombie is real is legitimately chilling. Then this song kicks on, and it becomes awesome as the gang, for the first time ever, is actually hunted by the dead. Best Scooby Doo movie ever.

And it's terror time again,
They've got you running through the night,
Yes, it's terror time again,
Oh, you just might die of fright,
It's a terrorfying time
ruuuuuuuuuuun
it's terror time again,
They've got you running though the night,
it's terror time again,
Oh, you just might die of fright,
It's a terrorfying time
it's terror time again,
They've got you running though the night,
Yes, it's terror time again,
Oh, you just might die of fright,
It's a terrorfying time!!!!
Thank you for your work. You're not the hero deserve, but the hero we needed.
Oi br
Thanks for this
We gonna ignore the fact he copy and pasted the lyric here
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you
the one time the mask did not come off, and it was literally terrifying! and awesome!
Man this song is such a jam, even years later.
They didn’t have to go THIS HARD!
🤘🏽😆
25 years best movie Scoby doo on Zombie island!!! Congratilations!!!!
They went hard af on this song for a Scooby-Doo film lol
When Resident Evil VILLAGE drops in a couple of months and you get to part where you have to fight the horde of werewolves, I'm gonna full blast this song as a welcome back to RE on its 25th anniversary
Or biohazard lmao
Cause the island is like the movie lols
@@rexflamevermillion5527 that is true. But there aren't really any hordes of enemies like there are in village chasing after you to make it feel like the movie.
This is still one of the best Scooby-Doo Movies of all Time.
Just watched Zombie Island last night! My favorite Scooby Doo Film!!
I forgot how hard this slaps for a damn Scooby-Doo song 😂😂😂😂
This song slaps harder then my dad after a couple of beers
WE MAKING IT OUT OF OUR CHILDHOOD WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️❗️❗️❗️🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, random person on Halloween 2015 for playing this in your yard. I love you
This is and will always be hands down THE BEST SCOOBY-DOO MOVIE EVER!!!!!
This song has no business going at it this hard. Yet it does, and so does the movie, and we love them for it.
I re-watched this movie just yesterday after not having seen it for almost 20 years. I loved it so much, it brought me back to my childhood and I didn’t realize that I remembered every word to this song even after 20 years. This is by far, the best, Scooby Doo movie out there.
One of the best classic Scooby-doo movies, zombies+mistery+supernatural+Scooby= perfection
Its that time of year again
I’m 26 years old, and it sounds even more metal than it did when I was a kid 🤘
Really brought back some amazing memories! One of the best movies and songs!!
This song is a banger💥💥💥🤘🏼🎶🎵🎶🎵
For context: (Spoilers Ahead)
Scooby was on the decline due to being "childish".
Exactly right. This movie was a game changer for scooby doo. The formula was time tested and successful, but it was time for some real monsters.
I hope that in the near future Scooby-doo movies like this will return.
@@notfred2319 me too bud I feel like Scooby Doo is just be treated childish again its time to make the costumed people real monsters again, being creepy and fun at the same time. Mystery Incorporated is a good example of how they can make Scooby being serious along with Zombie Island
Zombie Island, The Witch’s Ghost, Alien Invaders, and Cyber Chase really saved Scooby Doo and brought it back from the brink.
Ur comment makes me believe in God. Than you 🙏
They really didn't have to go this hard for a Scooby-Doo movie... But they did it for us.
_Edit:_ Breh I just found out they made a sequel called "Return to Zombie Island" about a year or two ago.
_Second Edit:_ I just watched it and it was *TRASH* lol spare yourselves the time. 😂
And it was beautiful
Looking back at it now, it was amazing
Better than “Scoob!”. Lol. They really screwed that movie up.
@@williamruhmann3402 I didn't ever bother to watch it
How bad it was?
NatyelMaligno It’s not worth buying. It’s all over the place and it doesn’t even follow the generic story of a Scooby doo movie. The only thing cool about it is the remix they made of the original Scooby Doo song. So I’d say rent it at RedBox, if you really want to see it. Definitely not worth 20 bucks.
I miss this song so much
ALL the nostalgia! I remember my father getting angry as I blasted this song on loop as a kid!
This is an excellent, timeless song. And perfect for Halloween season.
This cartoon movie rocked. Doubt they'll show cartoons like this anymore.
The scene where the gang are simply saying "No" as Fred slowly discovers the zombie is real is legitimately chilling.
Then this song kicks on, and it becomes awesome as the gang, for the first time ever, is actually hunted by the dead.
Best Scooby Doo movie ever.
I feel as though both hunted and haunted work in this context
Yeah i can agree! This movie had a awesome storyline! Probably the best story in any scooby doo movie ever.
So many childhood movies and games that had rockin music.
0 wonder why I got into learning instruments.
I just wish it was a little longer
IT'S TERROR TIME AGAIN >:3
So blessed I grew up with the Mook animation era. The imagery, animation, plot, artstyle, and this banger made zombies look bad@ss.
