First post here but have watched for quite some time now. The caliber of your work and the detail reminds me of old school craftsmen labor ! It's great to see craftsmen taking the time to build such quality structures which will remain for many years. Thanks really appreciate you taking time to put out the quality videos and the tool reviews. Keep up the great work guys ! Have a great day !
That was a really interesting watch, it's funny how all the small details take up the most time. Looking forward to watching the interior build. Regards Jim UK
This has been one of my favourite series to watch. The attention to detail the versetta stone. The all black windows and doors. It’s too bad you couldn’t come to Canada and build my shop house I want to build in the next year.
Hey Kyle. That cedar post you added on the second deck was a really nice addition. Really framed the porch and give the screen guy/girl something to mount at. The alligment with the top beam makes it look like it is one solid structure. Kerp up your amazing work. Love your serieses, I watch all of them and learned allot that I used when bildning our carport/shed for our caravan. Cheeres. Henrik
I enjoy your videos and think this particular building is amazing. I like the attention to detail you guys invest in every job. It's a shame you aren't closer to me when I decide to build my garage. As for the screened in porch on this build, I like the cedar post to separate the area. I think putting the stone up in the porch area would give it a awesome look.......just a thought.
All your work is superb. I hope I can find a solid contractor to do the roofing and metal work at your level in my state. Look forward to the interior work.
Kyle, there is a product design for the pest control/wildlife industry called Pest-block and another one is ridge-guard. Might take a look at these products for venting the ridge.
Love your brother’s flag shirt! Where did he get it? The porch is perfection of course. Your attention to detail is awesome! You two work so well together. Your videos make our day.
Couldn’t you do a short piece of z trim in between two ribs, about 6 inches, for the ridge vent. Or would that hinder air flow to much? It would make sliding it on a nightmare, but it would get rid of the oil pan.
Just thinking about the vented ridge cap. Can you get a perforated (on the vertical surface) Z flashing so you can have the same connection type as the porch but be vented? A bit like the way the soffit paneling is perforated.
I have a question. Why do you use the rib steel on the porch roof instead on the soffit material? Just preferance or is the roof steel thicker gauge? Also could you use the roof steel for soffit
@@smcox1991 are you sure ? I think they only use perforated on sides to allow air flow to the vent ridge. You would have to use a taller facia if they used rib steel instead of soffit, but I think it would look good when they lined up the ribs from ceiling to the facia with a wrapped beam spliting the two.
Wow another awesome video! Kyle I think Im gonna kidnap you and Greg and the rest of the crew, and bring you all down to Florida. Just kidding!!! Keep up the great work and of course, more videos!!!!
Why do you leave you tabs on the ridge short from the next bend? It looks way neater if the tabs do down to the next bend rather than finishing half way down the next flashing?
Hey just finished up the how to build a garage Playlist and now have a favorite 3am channel. One question why not pour the slab and the pillars at the same time? Do both then build on the concrete?
Looking great I just think you jump on your finishes too quickly with out considering sub trades. Getting electrical in before siding would have worked great. You could have gotten plugs in the rock some lights. Better to have the trades mount their stuff and you cut around it. Now say they want pot lights, it’s up to the electrician not to ruin your soffit.
I know it’s be a bit more in cost but versetta stone would have been perfect for a breakup of all that steel and being you add that wood it would have add a nice break from one to the other.
this is a great vid ... for some reason utube didn't get this to me .... really hate artificial intelligence. your vids always popped up daily. I will fight the AI by keeping a tab opened because all of the other great vids stay in that feed.
It looks absolutely fantastic, loving all of the trim details! You mentioned about wanting to find a way of doing a similar ridge to the porch, but vented? Instead of using the foam closure strip, can the Z clip have holes in them, similar to the vented soffit?
@rrbuildings I am thinking of building a house or “barndominium” and am wondering your thoughts on steel building vs post framing and what would be more cost effective?

I can't believe how much the building still rocks at this stage of construction.😁
isn’t it the mega deck that’s moving
Your attention to detail is next level. I appreciate it and wish you were building my barn.
Kyle, you may hit 500K subs by the end of the year. Unreal man! Best build yet. IMHO.
Crazy isn’t it
@@RRBuildings You deserve it!
Your attention to details is outstanding. Fantastic work.

The porch ridge cap detail, first class, loving this entire project, 👍👍👍👍👍
I continue to be amazed at your sheet metal skills and attention to detail!
Really enjoy your attention to perfection, just unbelievable!
'We didn't really think about this, we need a level'...... and that would be Greg's cue to go and grab a level. Nice job Greg, love your work!
You have done a fantastic job with the steel and it looks great. Your camera work and sound make it possible for your viewers to enjoy following you.
Ridge cap looked great 👍🏻
Let me be the first to post a comment and say that Greg is cooler than anyone has the right to be!
I love it and so quiet design showing your program
Outstanding craftsmanship

Master class in mathematics and geometry. Keep building America, Kyle.
Wished videos like this were around when I was in school. I'd done better at math knowing it's application
Doing top notch work and having fun also. Super nice build Kyle and the youtube sensation Greg.
just great work I stopped looking at your instagram so it doesn't spoil it since your ahead in that great job
I Think that stone would have look Good around that door. You do Great Work.
Looking forward to the interior build. Anytime i see a post frame around town i get excited and start comparing it to your videos

This build is getting to look so good. Good job.
That ridge looked awesome. Love the details.
Amazing attention to detail
You nailed that ridge cap detail!
That was nice to watch. Yes, let’s see the inside build too. You guys are good! 😀👍
Great work guys, I’ve been following this from the start and it’s nice to see the external works done to such a great standard. Bring on the interior!
Another great video guys, you are doing a fantastic job well done
I wish you could build me something like this in Michigan. Looks like you take a lot of pride in your work.
Love the over all looks and design of this project!
Looks great, waiting to see the finished product.
God bless.
I am in awe with your skills!😳🙀🙀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looking forward to the interior portion of this build. Nice work as always.

Enjoying the show
Pretty cool!
Great job!

Great video

Nice work on porch but I would have gone with a wood finish, just my choice but overall really 👍 job as always
ThankS For The GooD Video ! = Russ Robinson > Ann Arbor , Michigan GO BLUE UM
Just saw Martinez and you doing that give away i came from Instagram to try to put another chance in!
Can you use screws to secure the door and not nails?
can you do a final tour of the cabin in the woods??
So Kyle likes it tight, I mean, his ridge cap ;)
Right. I think there was a double meaning when he said that (10:19 - 10:20)
Good morning from St John Parish, Louisiana 26 Oct 20.
Looks like Kyle came to work after church on Sunday with a button up, collared, long sleeve shirt on. Must have taken off his tie already!
Do what I must lol... actually a killer new shirt from Truewerk that I love
How can 4 people dislike your video..? I feel like there is some TH-cam "Dislike Cult" that just goes around disliking ever video they watch!
I agree.
Do you have a video that shows in detail how u make your cuts around a window or door with your metal??
Why aren’t there any mounting blocks for outside lighting fixture? Great series, beautiful work.
This deck is going to screened in with aaaaaah screens. Lol Nice video

have you got a link as to where you got that blue work shirt @ 8:10 ?

Do you and Greg also install the gutters and downs?
I learned this: Smaller the detail in steel, the more expensive it will be. And I didn't see any bloodshed in the process. 🩹🩹🩹
You know what they say " A safe carpenter takes home ten nails every night"
How would you have done it differently if they wanted it open and no soffit on the inside of the porch?
Hey just finished up the how to build a garage Playlist and now have a favorite 3am channel.

Saweeeeeeeet!!!!👊💪
Simple question, what stops the steel from rusting on all the cut ends.
Seems like if the z -channel were slotted you could pull off a vented ridge with no exposed fasteners like you did here.
Does your company travel? I would love to have your company do a 40x60 shop build for me in Wisconsin but it’s 5 hours from you. Thoughts?
It looks absolutely fantastic, loving all of the trim details! You mentioned about wanting to find a way of doing a similar ridge to the porch, but vented? Instead of using the foam closure strip, can the Z clip have holes in them, similar to the vented soffit?
The both of you guys on that little roof almost brought the building down...
I never noticed you using wall steel for porch soffits, do you always do it that way?
You are amazing. I have started buying lottery tickets hoping to win so you can build me a building. Another great video, keep them coming.
@rrbuildings I am thinking of building a house or “barndominium” and am wondering your thoughts on steel building vs post framing and what would be more cost effective?
Figure that they would make a perforated z clip for a vented soffit.
Out of curiosity, why do you use hammers all the time instead of the nail gun?
It is cold up there yet Kyle
Can your metal supplier do you perforated Z channel?
LOL 😂 GOOD PENCIL HOLDER ( it is a universal methode ! )
