Teams do it as need be to get to the playoffs or try to strengthen the team as they see fit, but there is a way to time it before the deadline so that Jack could have gone on to a team that could perhaps make a run at the playoffs, Lakers did that this year with Troy Daniels and he ended up joining the playoff contending Nuggets.

There wasn’t going to be anything that saved the Spurs during the end of that Game 6 with Duncan on the bench. LeBron went crazy in the fourth quarter. 16 points. The biggest mistake Pop made with all due respect to Stephen was taking Duncan out of the game. He would’ve gotten that rebound or at least made it tough for Bosh to get it. And Stephen wouldn’t have stopped Ray from knocking that shot down.

Andre Ricardo Bryant Jack, Kawhi and Manu were all 80-83% free throw shooters. I doubt that he would’ve had more calmness at the line than Ginobili. Ginobili was a big time clutch player in his career. He just missed. It happens. Duncan missed point blank shots at the rim that game too. Sometimes weird things happen in games.

Yeah I doubt Stephen would have done anything to help win in those moments. The way things just played out it was destined to happen. All those misses from various players that normally make it go in easy just missed. He wasn’t stopping that Ray Allen 3 that thing was too wet, he just too into his feelings when in comes to Ray.

As a spurs fan born in ‘96 I was spoiled with greatness throughout my childhood…so many memories with friends and family attending/watching games. Now that I’m older I just appreciate it even more. Hopefully we can build around Wemby and capture another title in the near future. As for Stak, he was a baller in his own right. Coach Pop is just a tough coach and I’m sure Stak would say Coach Pop made him a batter player and person overall. 2013 had a devastating ending but 2014 was the sweetest revenge tour of all time….
Thank you Stak for the peek behind the curtain…all love🙏

Jack had 3 years when he shined bright:
    1) Spurs Championship; he was the Spurs high scorer in the 2nd most playoff games after Tim Duncan
    2) Pacers "Malice at the Palace" year; One of the Pacers big 3 with Ron Artest & Jermaine O'neil. (& threw the best punch in the fight)
    3) Warriors "We believe Warriors" year; One of the Warriors big 3 with Baron Davis & Matt Barnes. The upset over the 1st place Mavericks is arguably the most exciting basketball you will see.

Man if I owned a NBA team during their careers both of these brothas would have been on my squad. Suspensions, technicals, fights and everything that came with them would have been ok with me. They are real dudes with heart and a love for the game. 100+ for 48 minutes and no fear, true old school ballas. Love these two dudes.

I love stack as a player but bro really twisting stuff up. Coaches give players garbage minutes when they ain’t been on they game and they wanna see if they’ll put in effort even if they only get a bit of playing time.
I watched Jack that year as a Spurs fan and when he got minutes he gave no effort at all. Meanwhile Danny Green was hustling locking dudes up hitting shots.
Sounds like Jack was taking his frustration out on the team in practice and it was just hurting the chemistry, can’t have that when you’re trying to win a chip.
Love ya Jack! 2003 you was the man
