Garuda KDE Dr460nized is one of my favorite Distros. It is not so heavy as the ultimate and less bloat. Works very well even on Laptops with 4 GB of Ram and with a Dual core processor. Nice video btw.
I'm running pure arch with Zen kernel and Gnome 3.38.1 and nothing beats that at all. Has supported touchscreen, face recognition login, razer synapse controlpanel via polychromatic, and a full suite of games via lutris.
I tried the previous versions of Garuda. On each oneI had a strange error: all my harddrives were somehow locked. On the live system it worked but after installation, same issue. But the rest of the OS looked really nice tho.
Did you dual boot your PC with Windows 10? Manjaro does the same thing with my drive but after cleaning recycle bin in Windows 10, everything works as usual.

Some information around Latte and the video: 1. Latte git version can provide a fantastic Unity experience but it needs a properly configure Latte layout and the necessary applets that can be retrieved from kde store. A video for this can be shown at: th-cam.com/video/JtvsB0IKriU/w-d-xo.html 2. Concerning the MultipleLayouts mode. Latte can operate in two different modes. Single layout mode that ONLY ONE layout is shown at the user and in Multiple Layouts mode that Multiple Layouts can be assigned to different Plasma Activities and be accessed at the same time. So a user can have a Unity activity with a Latte Unity layout attached to it and a different Garuda Activity with the Garuda Layout attached to it and both them can be accessed instantly. This is demonstrated at: th-cam.com/video/utBQTIsJKTU/w-d-xo.html Note: The video is showing a bug at time: 25:04, Latte at that user scenario should switch to Garuda layout. I opened a bug in order to not forget fixing this... bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429945
Arch Linux. I know it may be hard but i am not really a proffesional linux user. Of course i can install my wifi driver and update/upgrade system using the terminal, but arch installation was pretty easy. The only problem you have is that you need time- by time i mean couple of hours to make it feel nice (for me it took around 3,5 hours). Otherwise i enjoy distro hopping and here we are- Garuda is the next victim :D
I installed Garuda Linux with the UKUI desktop environment to my father's laptop but sincerely we didn't like it. The performance in general... Maybe with other DEs it works better.
Damn its very very slow to install and update. Hope it runs better than it installs, or maybe i need more than 8 cores , 16g ram and a 500g NVME to load it on.
This looks like Arch Linux, the bloated experience, but they have some vanilla ISOs. So anyone looking for a lot of makeup on top of their desktop, this distro looks nice.
- AC origin doesn't launch out of the box - didnt detect my controller when I plugged in All these work well with other distros - 5gb iso. - took an hour to update after installing I don't find this useful in anyway.
We don't want dozens of linux distributions, we don't want linux derivatives that look like Macos. We want a linux kernel that can run standard macOS programs without any emulator.
There is a sad thing with Linux affairs. None of you YT derps are actually doing something. You are just changing icon packs with glistening eyes. God forbid you actually install standard pack of programs and try to show people functionality of the distro you chose. Or maybe troubleshoot one of the constant dependency issues across all distros. Im afraid none of you are actually using Linux as your daily driver. Just Win10 with VirtualBox, recording with OBS, and therefore you cant even show of desktop animations on "your" linux system.
Give Manjaro competition? It is more than 2x the size, then he had an additional 2GB to update after the install. After all that, it is like installing Manjaro 4 times. Or installing MX or Mint 7 times. It isn't giving any distro competition (unless you count Windoze as a distro). After all this install then installing your apps, you'll have a system bigger & more bloated than Windoze. If you want the fancy looks of the icons, just install the Beauty Lines Icons package. And yes, I know they have a lite version......that is still huge.
Months ago I tried KDE Neon which is supposed to be light and not bloated. Turns out the fresh installation was taking more disk space than a Windows 10 fresh install. I don't know what's going on, but to me distros with gnome always uses less disk space than kde.
WTF ..... that is not a review !! , you simply showing what is in the menu, file manager, there is LibreOffice, etc Review should give us some interesting information about that particular distro compared to another distros, to help people make decision to install it, or not to .... your review is not giving anything at all potential users, you only clicking on the menu, setup, and good bye As it was the same before ..... you make rubbish easy video :-) haha

Seems like Garuda is a very interesting distro. Looks like it can give Manjaro a competition.

Same. I've been in love with this look since I installed it..
works great my old hp laptop 4 gb of ram
It's a really nice distro. The forum is very friendly and helpful
The KDE experience on this distro will certainly be exciting! I'll try out Garuda soon.
I'm running pure arch with Zen kernel and Gnome 3.38.1 and nothing beats that at all.
Has supported touchscreen, face recognition login, razer synapse controlpanel via polychromatic, and a full suite of games via lutris.
Therese a lot of App on App redundancy in this dist build, software that basically does the same things which can be little confusing.
Very cool distro, i may need to give this a try
Finally competition for Manjaro.
I tried the previous versions of Garuda. On each oneI had a strange error: all my harddrives were somehow locked. On the live system it worked but after installation, same issue.
But the rest of the OS looked really nice tho.
You probably needed to edit the fstab file to resolve the issue.

@@fawzanfawzi9993 No, I used a separate SSD just for Linux and I disconnected the Windows drive. Garuda is the only distro I had this problem.
I have a bluetooth problem on my laptop..it says, "Bluetooth adapter not found", how to solve this problem

Technoblade: Now this is my type of operating system.
But in all seriousness, this was an amazing review of such a beautiful distribution.

I have a potato laptop. Intel i3 4gb ram. Ubuntu GNOME sucks. What distro or desktop env will work for this spec?
Mxlinux / lubuntu will work best..
I have the same configuration, settled with mxlinux.

HOW TO INTALL ON A SEPARATE DRIVE I HAVE INSTALL AND MESS UP WINDOWS 10
will this work ok on a dell intel core i5 with 8gb of ram.?
Can you make a top of lightweight distros for older laptops/PCs under 1GB RAM?
How can i remove the system monitor thing on desktop?
I am not sure but I think it is called conky.
Try uninstalling it
"pacman -Rs conky" in terminal should do it (without quotes)
No one does multiple layouts as well as Ubuntu Mate.
Think i am going to try this as my new daily since makululinux is a little hinky by freezing a lot.
Very nice review. I always enjoy them.
Alacrity = əˈlækrəti
Yea as u alluded too, the devs totally mist the selling point and the key features of Unity !
Just When you think you seen all the distro another batch appears
Please include Timestamps too
i love how you can wiggle the windows

The hardware requirement is too much I think.
I see a lot of Arch users jumping on to this these days.

Way better than it was originally. Before it just looked like a bloat. Good change.
Already working on #kde #neon, slower than normal internet connection 😝☺️

Just a window manager missing
I am a pop OS guy , thinking of trying this.
It's all a little to Mac OS for me. Thin bar up top, dock down at the bottom.
Lol the amount of stuff put into that bloat edition :D

Switch from Manjaro to this
Its like my old windows10 . Bloated

Why do you look like you're trying not to laugh?
Holy smokes what a bloated mess
It's arch based, what did you expect?
:p
