I don't think it will replace programmers, but software engineering will most likely evolve into a type of job where we use AI assistants to help us out. It probably already has. I do believe that it is still a great degree to obtain :)

It gets better with time! Look up words you don’t understand as you go, to learn. If you can read on the Kindle, using the built in dictionary is very helpful!
