4:08.. MSI did this to make connections of EPS connectors easier since they are no longer squeezed in between the IO shroud and the top VRM heatsink. 5:43 the socket 1851 has been slide approximately 5mm down toward the top PCIe slot to account for the slightly off-center hotspot of the new CPU's. This was done so NO SPECIAL BRACKETS ARE NEEDED for existing coolers unlike AM5
The rumors are suggesting that the life of this new socket my be that of one year whoever we have to take it with a grain of salt and maybe since they are taking notes from AMD by going on the efficiency route and a similar architecture like zen who knows they might also expand the socket longevity as well which in my opinion might be a tad more healthy for the pc industry with similar CPUs and other stuff competing
I recently upgraded my internal network to 10gig. I guess I'll either wait for a 10gig board or use the card I have now. I'm trying to not use a card. I get why they are doing it most won't use the bandwidth EDiT: I found ASUS Boards have a Marvell AQtion 10Gb on the board instead of 5Gb. I was hoping MSI had it but I guess my choices are limited.
Looks like almost all the amd and Intel boards went with 5gb. I think the pro art series had 10gb last year, so maybe they will again? It might be a bit cheaper than the master?
Great ,who buys a 500 euros mobo for 2 cpu generations(dunno if the intel 14th gen counts as the third😂) Im really cheering for intel, but ive just ordered the x870e msi carbon(thanks for the video btw) and im waiting for the 9800x3d-upgrade from 7600 i switched from 5900x to get ddr5 and future cpus) The mobo i want to keep till the end of am5 which i hope its far away ps: x870 doesnt support wify drivers for windows 10, i dont have lan, now im upgrading to w11 with an old usb 2.4 gbps with which i have a max 3.4 MB/S download speed(150mbps which is written on the website was a lie)
Intel is changing sockets too fast, this causes extra costs to users, I will not buy intel cpu. Also, although their market share and stocks are at the bottom right now, their prices are bold as if they are still the cpu market leaders :) no ty intel
And in 2 years we'll have a new socket.
@@JayzBeerz they probably already have that future socket and to more already made, the CPUs are probably already made sitting there as well lol
Sooner than that...try the end of the year. They're already on manufacturers shelves waiting for the signal.
You can show the RGB just with this little 2pins connector on the bottom ? Looks cool ! Thanks for the review
yea they are real experts👍. In my country many people sell pc but they still don't know how to do this😂
Great vid! While
You’re there can you sweet talk Msi into lowering the price on their case maestro from $400 to $200 😂😂

That was back when Intel thought their biggest problem was someone sharing the inside of a motherboard socket before they felt comfortable.
I quit on MSI a loooong time ago when I had to RMA 2 boards back to back for the same issue. Never again.
Great low range Mobo! ❤ Great Review again! ❤❤❤
Exciting board minus the no 10g. Hope the new Intels don't self destruct like 13th and 14th gen.

I just think its strange MSI's Audio Boost downgraded on these boards to 4 instead of last generations Audio Boost 5 on the same Z790 Carbon Series.

So can you use a PCIE x16 graphics card and five M.2 drives at same time? Or does the PCIE drop to x8 ?
No 10gig port?
I heard they were going to make another Unify X board. I'll wait for that if true.
prob the one to oc your core ultra
lifetime of the socket? 1 year
Again 5 Gbit. Looks like I have to go Aorus Master again this gen.

@@robertmajors1737 Gigabyte did go 10Gbit.... Sadly only on the Intel model.
Why do you need 10GB anyways if I may ask? I only got 100MBPS internet so even 2.5GB seems useless unless I am missing something?
@fourwheelerjock If not for internet, possibly home server speed. I personally don't need it, but I see lots of guys wanting it.

Thunderbolt 5 option I'm interested
40 GBPS not GbPS

I wish MSI would finally ditch that tacky dragon logo 💀
Noice board!
Peccato per i connettori sopra le ram
Какая мощность, какая производительность, с такой материнской платой и не стыдно поставить Nvidia 4090😀
Looks exactly like the X870e carbon wifi
To the point where the only difference is the X870e design wise only shows the little battery but you can cover it with one of the stickers
Even better than x870e.
@@kelvinjinxdbetter how?
@@lordkittenG 1 more m.2. Also the 2nd pcie slot support x8 electrically, while it is x4 only on x870e carbon.
@@kelvinjinxd on that you’re right but I think that will bump the price even more compared to the x870
Carbon in intel is not worth it imo, UNIFY X is wheres at.
@@Pabula Hopefully they release one this year

It is NOT 18+1+1 dummy, it’s 20 fam. Don’t put that AMD bs on a real mobo, foh
I thought at least one of them is the system agent/AUX rail on the intel platform ?
And one slice was something like GT power rail
Maybe look where it says that in the video....dummy
