I preferred the Marshall in this comparison. All of the sounds were great, mind you. There's a certain Marshall "sizzle" that can't be beat for me.

JVM for me any given day! Less compressed, you can get a variety of amazing tones covering any genre.
Gret sounds and riffs . Those immortal riffs sounds great on powerball ... Abbath use the powerball too live . But the dimmu borgir riffs sounds better with the jvm and the fireball ..

Engl for me (I have bought, thanks to you, a Fireball 100) but I like also the JVM! (Maybe the next?) 😅
I like ENGL but the sound of JVM is unique
i have a jcm2000, jcm800, and a 9000 preamp and I still want a JVM, it sounds so good for black metal but I think the live in Argentina Megadeth DVD is what kicked off my JVM boner

I like them both! Great channel btw. I run a Engl E530 for my kvlt band. Sorta has a Engl/Marshall tone in 1 almost with more Engl but also kinda hairy like the jvm.

The JVM410 was my favourite sound 🔥🤘I’ve been loving my JVM205 so much I’ve got a 410 on order 😜 killer amp and it pulls those Alexi tones I’m after 🔥💪

Infernus used lots of 5150s and Marshalls, but when gaahl and king showed up, they really fancied Engls. You can find lots of performances online of them using Engl in the back ground
So weird knowing ya can get this tone at home now lol😅

That what I was thinking, have the bigness from ther ENGL and the nastyness and articulation from the Marshall....I've got a 6505-1992 Or and a Marshall Valvestate AVT150 and going to try to do that....@@DevGohil

Guitar lag arkane and jvm410h With à hughes and ketter 18ohm and no pedals ... i use my old transistor to repet With my band cause my marshall sound to confuse
i use
OD2 on red mode, gain at 9 o clock (thereabouts) and push the bass and mids, treble just under halfway
Presence and resonance around 1o clock
See how you get on. active pickups and marshalls just seem to work the NICEST for the JVM. EMGs especially
