    Definitely the best and clearest to follow on YT. All the others are either too long, have terrible music or are hard to follow You just saved my life dude. I managed to unwrap my model seconds after this and am currently working on the texture :) Thanks

    this is maybe the best unwrap uvw lesson i watched, and i watched a lot of videos about the topic. even without a voice it's easy to understand, and text is very helpful.

    nice tutorial but you forgot to mention stitching...for eliminating the mismatch of the mapped texture on the seams areas...I figured it out on my own, without it, it wont look like one unified texture, so the texture process you did isnt really complete.

    Um... When I click on planar map it just makes a gigantic planar map that is 100 times the size of the little box area and I cannot grab or edit it in order to move or scale it. Am I doing something wrong?

    • @PanosGkece
      @PanosGkece 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Panos Gk Also I just noticed it's not a good planar map either, some faces are represented by edges on the map!

    What 3D Max version is this? When im at the Unwrap UVW modifier I have like almost zero options, unlike you.. Im using 3D Max 2012, any tips?

    • @cellygon
      @cellygon  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use Max 2013 for this tutorial but 3Ds Max 2012 should have the same feature and option. They are just placed differently. I don't have Max 2012 so I can't tell you exactly where things are.

    • @spydergs6982
      @spydergs6982 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You create the model and the UV's for the textures. This isn't creating the actual textures though.
      Export the UV and open up your favorite image editor, paint and whatever else you want then save that and then apply the texture in 3ds max or your preferred game engine.
