Great video! Juncos are great. We typically only get Slate-coloured Juncos where I live in the Winter, but this year there has been a vagrant Oregon Junco hanging around at a feeder nearby so I've added that subspecies to my list too! I think the Red-backed Junco looks really cool and I would love to see one someday!
Recently, I've had a cute little flock grazing on the ground in my backyard around creosote bushes. I have no idea what they're attracted to there. Dead grass due to the drought might be seeding, I don't know. But they stay in that area rather than go to the front where the birdfeeders are and a wide variety of other birds - sparrows too! Great vid -
Just starting to try and learn subspecies of certain birds myself. Juncos are very sweet and I love seeing them
That’s awesome! I feel like juncos are a great place to start practicing subspecies ID!

Not sure how the algorithm brought me here, but we just had one of these at our new Bird Buddy! Awesome video!
Glad it brought you here! Such an awesome bird to have at the feeder too!
The face of the red backed almost reminds me of Mourning, or McGillvray's warbler.
It’s got a very unique look! Actually really highlights those “dark eyes”

Awesome! Do you know which subspecies?
The one that’s gray with the white belly. About 4 come together and hop around my area
