I love how she speaks Ukrainian. She speaks Galitian dialect of Ukrainian (western Ukraine, where her parents are from). That dialect has special intonation, nazal sounds (like in Polish), sound "w" like in Belarusian (and in English too) etc..That makes that dialect very sexy like French language...I live in Northern Ukraine (where archaic Polessian dialects of Ukrainian are spoken). But my parents are from Podolia, so in our family we always spoke in Podolian dialect of Ukrainian). Carpathian dialects of Ukrainian are very special so I often can't clearly understand them...

You can live in the here and now and still be proud of where your ancestors came from. For example look at how the Irish in America celebrate their heritage even though 99.9% of them are descended from peasants who couldn’t read or write and fled Ireland because of famine brought on by the collapse of the potato harvest. Those ancestors were dirt poor, barely existing on land they could never own, barefoot and living in small earthen huts very nearly closer to animals than humans. Yet the Irish in America celebrate their ancestors with fervour and are proud of how those peasants came here and thrived. Learning to read and write for the first time and assimilating into the existing population but never forgetting where they came from.
I don’t know where your ancestors came from and maybe you don’t either but I bet if you did a little research you just might find that your ancestors are people to be proud of and have a unique heritage that you should at least be aware of.
Sometimes knowing where you came from can help you on your journey going forward. You might even draw upon the strength of your ancestors by knowing what they endured to get here the proverbial promised land for millions of immigrants.

+Gerry Laarakker That she parlayed that to a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a second-degree black belt in Karate should tell you that maybe it was more serious than you make it seem. I dont think a black belt at that age necessarily means a 13 year-old can handle themselves in any physical situation though. There's probably a relative scale at play here that only those in the know, meaning those who hand out the honour, can properly understand.
the scale is probably on how much they have learned .. form, technique, discipline, etc... some schools even promote students base solely only on the period that they have trained without consideration on how much they've improved
but in a real school there is no way you can get a black belt when you're 13
besides nowadays belts are not a scale of how strong a person is.. since it became more involve in theatrics
specially in taekwondo, karate and wushu
so it isn't really that impressive ... belts don't matter anymore and if there ever was a belt that mattered in martial arts it's the belt you get when you become a champion like in boxing and muaythai
it was in taekwondo, all you have to do to get it is pass the exam which is a series of manouvres/techniques that you perform for the examiner. theres no strength speed or power aspect/requirements just the technical part and theres no true sparring as part of the examination. or at least thats what its like where im from.
It is Take Won DoDo no one takes that shit seriously, it is gymnastics for kids.
