    You need to put in a settlement pond that's deeper than your outflow to catch all the sediment and then as it gently flows over (a rock out flow) it'll drain out with less sediment, then you can dig that sediment out once a year and use it for fill on your property.

    Moringa tree's are you new best friend for your ranch Rhyno. They will grow deep tap roots in just about any type of soil and will greatly improve drainage. Seriously you don't have to do anything to grow these trees and they make a huge difference in drainage situations.

    @DMAXRYNO I think you just found your calling in starting up another business for the channel. Man, the cat is living the life over there. He has his own suite with a heated blanket.
    Ever though about digging the ditch out about 10ft to 20ft out alway from the existing driveway while putting a slight pitch to help drain away from the driveway better, then putting a yard of river rock down in front of covert pipe to help with drainage? Another bandaid to add to the mix till you're able to get the entrance finished, but it might serve its purpose longer, so you don't have to keep messing with it. Could bring a load of those rocks over to muddy feet. Use his rock crusher if he would let you.

    Just out of curiosity don’t know if it’s possible but I’ve seen vids of people unclogging drains like that with a strap hooked up to a tire hooked up to a truck or tractor would that work if u started at the small end first and then pulled this the big end don’t know how u would run the strap thru but just wondering

  • @TPen
    @TPen ปีที่แล้ว +4

    You need to make a sediment pond. Something large. With pipes flowing to your ditch from the top of the pond. The debris stays in a pond so that you can scoop it clear with your excavator. You seam to not want to put the time into fixing the issue just bandaid the problem. You have a machine, it is actually an easy fix

    hey ryan id suggest you get a 10-12in culvert pipe and make a bypass of the small culvert get double wall then dig a trench in front of the driveway (so you dont have to dig up the driveway rocks) then tie it into the ditch where the concrete is (obviously you have to cut in a hole for the pipe to enter) this solves all your issues with the small culvert while still allowing you to drive heavy machinary up the driveway(far heavier than what you have itd be more like what james has)

  • @iroccamero
    @iroccamero ปีที่แล้ว

    Why don’t you dig lower than the inlet under the driveway to allow all the sediments to fall to the bottom and reduce the backup? You can add rocks to reduce erosion.
    We had to do that on the farm growing up we did 4x4 ft wide 4ft deep it would catch all that sandy dirt at the bottom and would clean it out after the rain storms.

  • @troyboi1799

    The donkeys probably hang by the house when it rains not to stay dry as much as to stay warm because the house probably blocks some wind if they had a shelter with walls they would most likely go there instead of against you're house

  • @dalegereaux1863
    @dalegereaux1863 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you built a corral fence between the posts of your wraparound porch like you did to keep the donkeys from eating the palm trees, would that be enough to keep them from filling your porch with poop ? You could always put in gates in the areas where you would want to go in and out.

  • @howlers8
    @howlers8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Honestly Ryno? I know you said you were originally planning on putting the bronco back to original wheels etc...but...looks and will serve you better in it's current Baja configuration. Also...donkeys on the porch. hmmm fencing to keep the animals out. item number 274? ish on the list of stuff for the ranch? I had been wondering how you'd been faring, weather wise out there on the ranch.

    When the mini truck won't go up those hills because there's a load in it, did you ever try going up backwards ?
    I remember my Mom telling a story about some elderly relative whose car wouldn't go up a steep hill so they just turned around backed up.

  • @johnthomas3505
    @johnthomas3505 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    One thing you should try would be to dig some trenches/culverts and fill them in with gravel/river rock, or even wood chips so you can still drive over them, but it will also allow the water to flow through those like smaller rivers. Having the rock or wood chips in the trenches will help slow the water down to help prevent more erosion.

  • @anthonygrice8919
    @anthonygrice8919 ปีที่แล้ว

    They make inflatable rubber pipe plugs with an eye bolt. A 4 or 6" plug partially inflated will be a good alternative to drawing the tire through your pipe. Any utility/Waterworks supplier would have these. Perhaps a Ferguson Waterworks is in your neck of the woods.

  • @azazeldeath
    @azazeldeath ปีที่แล้ว

    Commented on an old video, but ill add some extra info here. You need a self cleaning system. First off oval or egg shaped (narrowest end to the bottom) is your best bet for pipes. So the water always flows at a self cleaning speed.
    With open channels you want a multi stepped system. Your in the USA. Look at I think its the LA concrete rivers. \--_--/ setup, so once again when the rain is low, and there is less water it has a smaller channel, allowing the dirt to stay in suspension and clean itself, when there is alot of water it uses the larger channel, once again self cleaning.
    For erosion spots use rock baskets, in short its concrete base (or compacted sand/soil) geotec fabric, a wire basket, bolt that into the ground or concrete with a metal bar to distribute the load, fill with hard stones of various sizes, granite works wonders, sew a lid on it out of wire again. It slows down the water flow, pulling sand out of suspension and also stops/heavily prevents erosion. It's used alot in the tropics of Australia where cyclones (hurricanes) exist and for half a year it basically pours down (check Darwin and Kakadu average monthly rainfalls to see what it has to deal with).
    I can go in depth more if you want. But the farm I grew up on faced these issues alot until we put those measures in, it handled tropical monsoons no problem. Also installed some in floodplains as a job years later.
