OMG that is a genius idea to have the frosting in gladwrap instead of scooping it into the piping bag. So much less mess and FAR easier to change colors, tips etc. I don’t know if I am the only person in the world to not know this technique but I was in an 8 year relationship with a chef (16years experience in fine dining) and I never saw him do this once. I am going to a lot more decorative baking now. THANK YOU 🙏🏻 ❤

Best tip is putting the different coloured icing onto a cling wrap sheet, rolling up the icing into a sausage and then inserting into the piping bag. Genius!
@@Trac82 I don't understand why they always use so much frosting on a bite size piece of cake. It's pretty but it's useless overkill. I rarely buy cupcakes but when I do, I scrape 3/4 of the frosting into the garbage before I eat it.
😮 My favorite part of this short was the way you used plastic wrap to fill the piping bag. I've never seen anyone do this before. 🤯 Great tips and beautiful work.
Yes! I've always done a stripe of different colored icing on one side of the bag but there's less control where that stripe will show up, bottom or top of the rose and it doesn't always last for the whole bag. The plastic wrap gives more of a color depth. I love the way it looks. It's a brilliant technique!
