    Hey Ty,
    Great video. Your enthusiasm and honesty about the Sportster S are revealing! And some great scenery to boot!
    6:03 - Yes, the Pan America does have ride modes.
    7:00 - Are you seeing a difference in fuel consumption between the three modes?

      Thanks for the info Toby. I'm not really seeing any difference other than I feel like I stop for gas much for frequently, but that's a big deal to me. Hope to see you soon bro!

    Loving the new camera angles. As always great content. Keep it up!
    I love the look of the Sportster S. I would say that is second only to the engine.
    I get a lot of nice comments from coworkers and strangers who don't even ride about the look of my Sportster S.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing all this info. I looked at one at Smoky Mtn HD a few days ago. They are absolutely beautiful. Typically, I buy “garage finds”, get them running, ride, and re-sell. But, this may call for an out right purchase. I enjoy a bagger, but these bikes are really cool. You definitely identified 5 really nice things about the Sportster S! Thanks again and will be interesting to see your next list. Ride safe Ty.

    • @allanmobley940
      @allanmobley940 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      James, the Sportster S, at least in the US, does not come with factory heated grips, just pre-wired for it.
      I recently had my dealership install the Harley Davidson Tactical Heated Grips on my Sportster S. A digital tech update is required.
      Now when I start the engine up, a little hand grip icon appears on the dash. Pushing the heated grips button starts it off in high with three heat trails coming off the icon. You can drop it to medium (two trails) or low (one trail) or back to off by pushing the button the desired number of times.
      Hope that clarifies it for you.

    • @jameslindsay479
      @jameslindsay479 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@allanmobley940 what?! That's disappointing...

    • @allanmobley940
      @allanmobley940 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jameslindsay479 I hear you. I thought the same, wondering if my heated grips were not working after pushing the button.
      There's a lot of misinformation out there about this, even dealerships (not mine) saying that it comes with heated grips.
      Harley Davidson should have done a better job with their website and information. Even the owners manual is vague "if installed" as if there is a factory option for it when the website says the only options are color options.

    I have the 2021 Sportster S that I bought 11/29/21, and I do like the power that this thing has( I've had multiple harley's..1988 H.D. Softtail Custom, 1991 FL Electra Glide Sport, 2007 Sportster Custom, 2013 H.D. '48 Sportster, and a 2014 Super Glide Custom..) Well, for some unknown reason I traded both the 2013 48, and the Super Glide for this... Besides the limited fuel capacity, the biggest complaint that I have is the fact that when it hits the low fuel warning, that's all you have!! It will not tell you how much fuel you have ( no matter what buttons you push) and it blocks the trest of the gauge( so you don't know how fast you are going, OR how far you can expect to go!! That SUCKS!! Because if you're out in the middle of nowhere, you HAVE TO HAVE THAT INFORMATION!! The absolute worst part about that is the reserve varies! You can have 1/2 gallon, or a full gallon left! I've literally ran out ( within two miles of a gas station.. and have gone 20 miles and have had a gallon left!! THIS IS REALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I will not push by hand, this 503lb motorcycle 2-3 miles because of a faulty fuel gauge!

    • @TyFromTennessee
      @TyFromTennessee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kevin. Sorry to hear about all of that. I haven’t heard anything about the gas gauge so thanks for letting me know. The GM at my local dealership recently told me that the Sportster S is requiring a new update so maybe it’s addressed with that software release. I hope you get it all worked out. Thanks for watching sir. Have a great day!!

    Hi there. Congrats on the purchase. Got mine on the 30th of November, 2nd Sportster S delivered in Portugal. So far so good (put on 700km, aprox. 430miles, on it). Only sad that the heated grip is only a pre-instalalation, so I'll have to spend and extra 275€ (aprox 310 us $) for the actual HD heated grips :( The app only works form time to time and no bike info gets collected (km, temp, etc...) like it says on the app and I'm still trying to figure out what headsets work with it. Other issue is the auto screen brightness is a setting I want ON all the times, but every time I turn the bike off, it goes buck to manual. Other than that it has been a joy to ride. Keep sharing your experience, and costs that we all love to be "in the know" ;) Cheers

    Hey Ty, really enjoy your vids. I’m really torn between this and the Street Bob. Really don’t know how to make my final decision. I’m worried that I choose the wrong one, get it him and wish I bought the other one. Any advice? Thanks, from Australia 🇦🇺

    • @TyFromTennessee
      @TyFromTennessee  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah man. Tough call because both are great motorcycles. I would think that the Street Bob might be a bit more comfortable on longer rides, but the Sportster S is so much fun around town. Is there any way that you can take a demo ride of both bikes? That's probably the best way to go. Let me know how it all turns out and thank you for watching!

      @@TyFromTennessee Thanks for your reply, appreciate you taking the time.
      I have ridden both, we also rode the Nightster which we will be buying for my wife. The thing is, we were originally looking at getting a GS1250, now my wife finally looked at Harley and fell in love with the Nightster. I was lucky enough to own a 100th year Anniversary Sportster many years ago. For me, I kinda want to keep the next bike I buy as I'm mid 40's and don't want to keep changing motorcycles. I'm not sure which one of these will be better for a long term relationship? That's my dilemma.
