And even why it makes sense Death by Glamour uses it, given Mettaton wants to get out.

The OG Another Medium honestly has such a feeling of warmth, fitting of the intense, yet controlled and calm, sea of magma that lies just beneath the core. In contrast, this version sounds cold. Not Icy cold, but like being in an air conditioned room. Honestly, I think a good analogy is that this would be the more inside or higher parts of the CORE, where its more machine, and cool, compared to below.
True, this theme would've worked great in the areas near Muffet's boss room, because you would have to get much higher, so highhhh, to get to those places.

I can imagine this playing in a subsection of Hotland that's themed like a big server room. It would be very cold with coolant pipes everywhere, which you need to avoid. There would be a lot of puzzles, maybe themed around old school computer games, like Solitare or Pinball, or maybe simple logic gate puzzles? You can interact with a lot of screens, which show random Undernet posts from various background characters and a few of the main cast. There's a few enemies, all being computer puns (ram sheep, a driver driving a car, etc).
Another Medium is way more cleaned up. The original gives of a different vibe. Patient sounds colder than Another medium. It also sounds more mechanical, and Another Medium sounds more natural. I can hear the last part before the loop ends in Another Medium though. I like them both.
