Phoenicians Before Columbus - Video for the Explorer's Club NY

The expedition aims to prove that the Phoenicians could have reached the Americas 2000 years before Christopher Columbus.
​In 2008 - 2010 Phoenicia (a custom-built replica of a Phoenician ship) successfully recreated the first circumnavigation of Africa, believed to have been accomplished by Phoenician mariners in circa 600BC.

An epic Voyage! I was lucky enough to have spent a week or so with the Phoenicia in Yemen, and would love to meet the ship in Florida. Fort Lauderdale is the only place I know of that has a Dragon's Blood Tree outside of Socotra.
