    My dad built a large boat. There wasn't a single nail in it. When I was a kid I asked him one day why he struggled with so many screws. He explained that a wooden boat expands and contracts. He said in rough seas it will even flex. Then he explained how a nail will work its way out while a screw will hold tight forever. Every frame rib from the keel up was set in a hand cut joint and then secured with screws.

    Too bad some of the commenters are getting caught in a pointless discussion. The ingenuity these people show is mind blowing! No blueprint is what amazes me the most; imagine assembling Ikea furniture. This is a marvel of marine engineering.

    In the 14th century CE King Abubakari II, the brother of King Mansa Musa of the Mali Empire is thought to have had a great armada of ships sitting on the coast of West Africa. This corroborated by ibn Battuta himself who recalls several hundred Malian ships off the coast. The ships would communicate w/ each other by drums. This has led to great speculation, that Malian sailors may have reached the coast of Pre-Columbian America under the rule of Abubakari II, nearly yrs B4 Christopher Columbus.

    I wonder how old is the Dow. There are artifacts found in Eastern Africa depicting ships with sails as far back as early as 3000 BC. Boats as early as 5000 yrs ago. Oldest canoe found in Africa was in Nigeria dating back 8000 years, cut out of African mahogany found by a fulani herdsmen, near the Yobe river, in the village of Dufuna in 1987. This knowledge of ship building even travelled to West Africa.

  • @MDLi0n
    @MDLi0n 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    im afraid it doesn't work that way. the flood itself is impossible. the waste from the animals is not manageable, the boat doesn't match the measurements given for the ark or its position. its no that they want to disprove, its is disproven. some people just wont accept the reality. 2000 years of this and we have had enough.

  • @BrianDgreat123

  • @MDLi0n

    @yvonnethompson844 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    those events were still only local according to all the records i've seen. i tried that hypothesis for a while.. i have reached the idea that part of the reason it seems that everyone had flood myths has more to do with the topography that's good for farming before we learned how to modify other areas. the best place for agriculture with east trade routs happens to be in floodplains of the various rivers of the world. seroiusly though this vid is about making a boat.

    all anyone has to do to dispell the myth of noahs arc is to ask. where did all the plants go? no one mentions plants. never mind the fact that there are upwards of 10,000,000 species in total on the planet. how'd they all fit in a bloody boat? i cannot believe there are people on this planet who think its at all possible.

    A lot of European sailing ships were designed so not to have to have the wind directly behind them. Where did they come up with this?
    It took four years to build a ship? I assume they only worked on it Saturday afternoons when it didn't interfere with other activities?
    Wood pegs and joinery are used all over.
    The Vikings used nails, but were able to build ships without frames.
    This is the most underwhelming construction and technology video I have ever seen.

    there is an account of 200 flood stories in the world, all originating around the same time. What does this mean? It means that all these other civilization recorded the same thing, a world wide flood. Too find the legitimacy of a historical event you have to look in the events of other civilizations and countries to have the truth relieved too you.

  • @MrLogicTroll

    The boat in turkey is just a boat. You misrepresent the facts of the story and call it noah's ark. Not because you follow the scientific method and follow the evidence to a conclusion. But because you start with a preconceived notion and look for evidence to support your idea. Which is anything but scientific.
