  • Fall asleep or develop the ability of lucid dreaming! The choice is all your own! Yoga nidra allows you to enter the hypnogogic state between waking and dreaming where the subtle body can leave the physical and travel the inner worlds while you are still awake. If you do not become lucid then you will just fall asleep! In this way the following meditation is very helpful for insomniacs, as well.
One of the challenges to falling asleep is slowing down the brain waves from the fast Beta waves to the slower and more relaxed Alpha and Theta waves. Visualization, imagination and fantasizing have all been been found to help slow down the brain waves and assist in the natural process of falling asleep. This guided meditation helps achieve this objective by encouraging you to fantasize and create your own dreams!
This video uses 126.22Hz, which is the frequency of the Sun and is very powerful for tuning into the vital energy of nature, calming the mind and encouraging deeply restorative rest. There are also binaural beats at 4Hz to encourage the brainwaves to slow down to the dreaming state of mind corresponding to Theta waves.

Well, this WORKED. Every time I try to have lucid dreams, my recall completely dissipates. This worked on the first try and I still had strong recall. Thank you so so much for creating this! I love your Nidras!

Guruji, your videos are so effective and with a strong base with yogavedantha. There are so many videos in lucid dreaming. But this video gives all tools for lucid dreaming which is based on spiritual and yogic philosophy. Can you give us such a video for astral travel in your Divine sound. Thank you sir🙏

What is your knowledge/insight regarding hypnagogia? Why do some practioners experience it and others not? Some share, that after mastering wake induced dreaming through hypnagogia, hypnagogia stays naturally off and they arrive directly at a so called midway point. Another question, if I may ask: Is there any difference in OBE and lucid dreaming, judging from your own experience?

Those are your samskaras Eden. They are repressed thought forms in your Psyche. The video did not give them to you, it gave the opportunity for them to surface in order to be released and transcended; thus gradually purifying your psyche.

@@TantraForLife in the dream I experienced levitation (uncontrolled) and multiple forms of paralysis! It felt so real but I wasn't lucid. When I awoke I was relieved that it had only been a dream and that I could move my body again. Any thoughts on the symbolism?

The source of our samskaras are shrouded in the symbolism of the psyche. When repressed psychological tension expresses itself it can take so many various forms. Most of the time we don't really need to intellectually understand them, just let that energy out! This is one of the reasons we dream. It is like defragging the psyche. However, this process of psychological purification is greatly enhanced when we can stay awake in the dream state, which is exactly what occurs during yoga nidra. When you are able to put the body to sleep (during body scan) but your mind stays awake then you enter the stage of yoga nidra called psychic dreaming, or conscious dreaming. Then you can illumine the contents of the conscious and subconscious mind with neutral awareness.
Neutral awareness implies 'higher awareness', that is - from the intelligence beyond the mind. Because we can observe our mind and influence it's behavior, that means there is an intelligence beyond it. However, so long as we are judging our selves, over analyzing our thoughts, labeling, categorizing, etc. then that is just the mind observing the mind, not the higher awareness we are going for.
So the key is to develop neutral awareness to not only these experiences during yoga nidra and dreaming, but also to the responses and mental tendencies we have towards them. The more that we go on illumining the mind and psyche the more power we gain over it. Awareness sorts everything out on it's own, much like turning on the light in a previous darkened room: Everyone spontaneously sees which way to go!
Likewise see the negative experiences during yoga nidra and dreaming as a chance to purge and liberate the energy that was trapped in keeping those impressions trapped in the subconscious (repressing requires a lot of prana!). And see positive experiences during yoga nidra and dreaming as a blessing and something to be grateful for (but equally detached from and seen as an opportunity to purify the psyche).
Gradually the mind and psyche do become more harmonious, serene, calm and clear. It may take some time, but as we go on illumining the mind - we gain more conscious self control and become liberated from our unconscious habitual responses perpetuating our karmas.

@@edencollins3430 I've experienced exactly what you've described. But mine wasn't practicing yoga nidra or any other mindfulness. Mine felt more like possession. What you're describing makes me think that maybe playing with frequencies and energies aren't always good ideas as they may open pathways that other energies can access.
Or maybe it's just a very bizarre and specific coincidence.
Either way I smudged my house and it hasn't happened since.
