For the c9 video, the mercy was the one contesting, not rein. The mercy flew off the payload, and rein was stuck in the animation so he couldn’t move, so it was technically the mercy’s fault that they lost that.

Actually it’s the fault of the game for shrinking the contestant radius
This may be true, but there's also a relatively common bug that causes the payload to move anyways for a second or two even when you're standing on it, I had it happen in 3 consecutive games, 2 of which I was standing on top of the payload. Like, literally feet on the cart, stomping on the hood of the car in Hollywood.
pretty sure i saw someone else explain that one and the game was already over before he got on point. they extended the end of game animation so youd think you had a couple moments to keep fighting even tho youd already lost. the mercy might have lost them the game by backing off tho lol

Res is strong simply by existing. People immediately have to remember, "Keep an eye on the Mercy, they may go for a Res."
Idk that's not tough though. Is an entire ability slot that could be something like anti nade worth it just to cause mild panic?
Other abilities are the same though: Orisa gold, suzu, lamp, bastion tank, so on so forth
Here's the difference, if you get anti naded, you can use your cooldowns to survive to it wears off. But with a res, you waste cooldowns on stopping the res and if you are unsuccessful you have to deal with who over hot ressed with no way of defending yourself@@SecureBirch410
@@chadrussell1221those just enhance a character that's alive. Res let's you do a trade with someone and immediately come back. Like if a reaper dives backline ults and dies but he took out a support, you traded a support for a dps. But the mercy can just res the support and make the reapers sacrifice meaning less
@@SecureBirch410It’s more about the impact rez can have on a game. Imagine a widow is dominating the game, and you finally kill her. Instead of Widow running from spawn and back to the fight, she is instead immediately revived and can return to sniping like nothing happened.

In WoW terms, Brig's Inspire is an AoE burst HoT effect. It's not an aura, it's a HoT that is applied to everyone in a radius every time she does damage.
And personally didn't even know that figured it was like every second it bursts out to your team or something so pretty cool to learn.
As a WoW player, this was super helpful 😅

4:40 I think they should make tanks have really good survivability, not really good sustain. Thats the problem with Mauga and Roadhog is they aren't actually survivable they just have a lot of sustain.

Hog live because he out heal your dps. He has sustain.
Of course it's not that simple, but that's the difference between survivability and sustain.

The problem is that survivability does not take skill, that's an orisa sat still with fortify taking 0 damage while her supports pump her, if you give tanks huge health pools instead of sustain they are reliant on their supports instead of their own ability to stay alive

Survivability is being able to *survive*, having higher health counts as having more survivability,
Self-Sustain doesn't feel nice because the tank *alone* can just survive everything, but that's not fun for anyone except the tank.
And saying survivability does not take skill is just flat out wrong.
The reason survivability does not take skill in ow2 is because it hasn't been made to take skill.
Take World of Warcraft as an example, there tanks have to balance self sustain, defensive abilities, etc
But it takes huge amount of skill to play properly.
The contesting bit at 7:40 happens to me ALL THE TIME. I had it happen 3 games in a row in quick play, 2 of these were where I was standing literally ON THE PAYLOAD.
Yeah, Emongg went over it and what happens is the round already ended, but it keeps going for another couple seconds making you think you reached the payload but the round had actually already ended before you got there.
@@button9 I would believe that this was the case for those matches, but atleast one of them wasn't even in overtime, I was standing on the point playing Dva for a couple seconds before overtime started, and never left, and we still got the lose screen. I assume it's a bit deeper of a big sometimesz which isn't surprising, sometimes game engines do weird stuff.
@@button9 yeah, if you watch the match replay, it usually end way sooner than what it felt while playing it.
I guess the slowmo part doesnt trigger at the right time sometimes, giving you the false idea that you have a tiny bit more time than what you really had.
It's so annoying.
7:15 could be wrong but there was a bug that if the payload was 0.01m away for checkpoint and someone steps off and steps back on the same tick it regresses it can go past the checkpoint which can break the game so this could be a fail safe but enemies were still on it and it was contested so it might not be but that is my guess
I’m pretty sure the person that it registered as contesting was the mercy who touched and immediately flew away, so he never actually contested it. He just thought he did because his mercy touched
I left this as a hot take on one of KarQ's videos, but I don't think tanks should overpowered raid bosses. They should, however, be resistant to ALL cc. Tanks already have a faster sleep recovery and boop resistance, just make it a blanket cc resistance. Sleeping and stunning a tank would still have value(stopping Rein charge, Sig ult, Doom block, ect.), but make it more appealing to cc non tanks. I just feel that playing tank would feel better if their general vibe was "I've been stunned? OH NO! Anyway..."
This isn't a bad idea at all. Giga tanks with impossible health pools would be boring. With the DPS passive and only 1 tank, it would be "shoot the tank" simulator every game. CC immunity would be dope though

@@marquezekelley8374 I think we all know this. 39+ unique heroes is basically impossible to balance. The question is actually "will the game be fun for the majority of players again?" Some heroes might have to forgo being perfectly balanced if the majority of players across all roles are going to have fun. I think the team should balance in that direction

I think what adds to the confusion of Brig’s Inspire is that there’s no visibility applied to those affected by it. As opposed to someone like Zen Orb or Ana Nade who have UI made for those abilities. I swear, once they finally,y get around to it, only then would lower ranks understand her strength.

About contesting the payload, I'm experiencing 2 problems. First the radius was indeed reduced compared to OW1. But second, there is some kind of latency between the moment you touch and the moment it registers as contesting. So many times I touch it and a fraction of second AFTER the counter gets to 0 and we lose...
I mean my point we’ll probably get this mess cause I’m not a pro player but I agree mercies Rez was never op. If so many different ultimates can one shot an entire team why can’t one character bring back some or even all of them like her original Rez. They should’ve killed the mercy first. If Cass dva Tracer and many others can one shot or potentially team wipe how is a support bringing them back op? Focus the mercy -.-
The brothers need to change their game names to Mac and Cheese.

To the brig inspire not being noticed, well, the devs just introduced the little down arrow to show when you have the DPS passive applied, why not have the up arrow show when you're being healed by aoe heals? Ana nade gets the up arrow, but the entire health bar changes color so that's pointless.
Chuck and Freddy are the perfect duo. Constantly zoinked out of their minds.
I've said this before but Tanks do NOT feel like Tanks, they are a vase that needs tending to and if ignored for even a second will shatter.
with the new healing ui, brigs inspire could show up so people know when they’re actually affected by inspire

The contest is definitely smaller! In OW 1 some of my favorite spots to contest in no longer work because you’re not close enough anymore. Like, Junkrat lying in the bush strat in Dorado

7:10 he actually isnt touching point, if you look at his mercy she is the one that was actually touching and then she flew off. And yes i can confirm the payload contest size has 100% decreased because i remember in ow1 there were spots i would contest the cart that dont work anymore in ow1, i was usually the payload princess doomfist player so i knew the cart contest hitbox very well and they are 100% smaller
Hot take: Tank shouldn't be stronger than they are, instead they should simply be less of an incentive to dump all your cooldowns into. I'd happily play as a 400hp tank that does half the damage, if it means the entire enemy team won't yeet everythng they have at me any time I step around a corner, cus now I aint that big and tempting anymore

Yeah they shrunk the contest area on all points, its barely noticable on capture points but payloads and push bots have the same radius which makes push bots feel huge while payloads are non existent. Rein in that clip had his face pressed against the payload but still wasn't the one contesting.
That payload thing is real. Its like you have to be touching it. And sometimes it still doesnt register.

Played brig on launch, filthy casual that somehow got to gold (id rather be in bronze), Brig is DISGUSTINGLY powerful
I do not know if Flats know or read this, But some deployables could invoke brig's passive, Wrecking ball's minefield and obviously bob, Some things like torb turret, Sym turrets and junkrats trap doesn't work
And to say, Release of Overwatch 2 patchnotes they mentioned they made the radis of payload smaller

100% healing reduction isn't strong? What?
5v5 with single tank cries for an imbalance in power where tank can 1v1 anyone ez..... but that'll never happen.... and probably it wouldnt be fun for anyone but the tank...
Anti nade just needs to cut healing by 50%.
Maybe make it last a bit longer or decrease the cooldown to compensate.
Tweaking the damage, cooldown or duration by itself won't affect the strength of the debuff.
Blizzard was only changing the frequency of anti nade but not the strength of it.
Brig isn't broken anymore. Sad they depowered her whipshot a bit, though. Feels much weaker than lucios boop now.
I accidentally do the wall jumps without knowing or meaning to do them. I'm just doing Ball things and see the indicator for the pile drive and go with the flow

I guess ppl are just braindead. Cause ppl dient recognize that the end of the game effect if they payload get pushed through the point where you need to push "the slow down" is delayed since season 8 or season 8 midseason i guess. You actually see how the cart is moving, how the score is 1:2 and he still moves normal that feels awkward
They should give tank an actual tank passive like dmg reduction or something. Just increasing their health constantly is gonna put more strain on healers. If they decrease hp on some tanks and give dmg reduction I feel like it could work very well
It kinds sucks to not own some of the strongest heroes in the game. Had multiple games recently where it would have been the right move to swap to Mauga, and I don't own him, so I just get to lose.
I miss the paid game where heroes were free. This pay to win model sucks.

The stronger you make tanks, the more they will be blamed for losses, and the harder they will be counterpicked and focused. I think tank feels so bad because tanks are already the strongest characters

While I don’t disagree that they might’ve lowered the radius for cart, the main reason there was c9s in owl s5 is because the off-tank on dva was usually designated touch but they hadn’t gotten used to the change in touch priority

I think when rien was on the point because his arms were extended towards the point but when he ulted he lifted his hands and his hit box out of the range of the point. I don’t think if he ulted it would’ve ended the game
