@Bongo Kongo To be fair, that formula was in place before RPGs existed. It's the western TV show formula. Follow a mysterious stranger as he wanders into town, helps the oppressed citizens and then goes on his way for a similar adventure next week. Same thing with a lot of serialized samurai fiction. Since those two genres were such a influence on Lucas originally, it fits with Mandalorian. What does feel odd is that the show is so episodic in a time when every premium streaming show is tightly woven around a central plot. Mandalorian still does have an overarching story, but it's much more episodic than what you tend to see on Netflix, Amazon, etc.

Many Mandalorians, at least in legends stuff, had reputations as hunters and mercenaries, and of course as insanely effective killers. If someone who has a problem sees Mando, they are gonna see if he can solve it for them.
They've established fuel is a thing. He'll have to stop somewhere. I'd be really disappointed if its just a hyperspace jump. I'm anticipating multiple episodes to locate it and then get there.
Did they rebuild the Jedi temple on Coruscant? I think after order 66, the empire took it over and turned it into an imperial palace or something Edit: The empire just took it over, they didn’t demolish it or really change it that much, so I guess it could have been refurbished into the Jedi temple again
I mean considering its many, many, many years after the events of Kotor, and the Deep core has since been further explored. It honestly wouldn't really make sense for traveling to Tython to be difficult by this point. Besides the jedi temple that was there was bombed ages ago iirc
I feel like the journey to Tython will be Season 3. Getting information to travel there and getting ambushed by Moff Gideon will be the remaining episodes.

I am really excited to see Tython in Canon material and being explored in the Mandalorian. It makes me more excited then Thrawn, baby yoda's name reveal and Ashoka combined. I am curious tho if Tython remains the same as it was seen in Swtor with all the unexplored ruins, ancient droids, Flash Raiders and so on. Maybe it was stripped by the Empire like Ilum was slowly made into the Starkiller base or Palpatine had one of his observatories similar to what we've seen in Battlefront 2 campaign with all artifacts and such.
I thought Ach-To was a pretty unique planet, and captured the idea of a force nexus brilliantly since after all we see the force ghosts at their strongest potential their. But I am intrigued by The planet Tython, and it could be another Nexus strong In The force.

The deep core's need to constantly drop in and out of hyperspace proved something in Legends. Galaxy Gun projectiles were going to be dropping in and out to get to their destination, so they didn't need to be fired from a barrel. Sheev was just overcompensating yet again.
because of Mando's mention of Tython, I went and read the Dawn of the Jedi comics. Maybe I shouldn't have stayed up til 5 AM reading them, but I think it was worth it. Fantastic books, and now I'm really excited to see what the show does with the planet.
I have a crazy guess that eventually baby yoda will serve as a hyperspace navigator for the razor crest when they go to tython. Since the ship doesn't have an astromech, mando can't possibly calculate a safe route by hand. This also ties subtly with the new canon thrawn novels where force sensitive beings serve as navigators in wild space.
I would love to see him casual jump out of hyperspace near a core republic world and stumble upon a massive NR fleet that's preparing to leave the system to battle an empire remnant. He immediately cuts all power to his ship as he's kind of coasting in the distance seeing this massive fleet from afar as it begins to jump to hyperspace. I feel it would just add this IMMENSE scale to the universe and world and show how small scale the show has been compared to the grandiose nature we've seen in the movies. Bring back a little of that New Hope death star dread seeing it growing in the distance
My theory is that no one (or seemingly no one) will be their but Gideon will use the tracker he placed on Mandos ship to ambush him with the dark troopers he has. However a Jedi (who may have been on/living on tython) who sensed Grogu reaching through the force appears to help Mando setting up season 3

A question that has arisen for me is where Jawas come from and which planets they are active in. Also, how do they get the rolling fortress things? They are present on Tatooine and other desert planets but also on the lava fields in Nevarro, so I was wondering which planets they are in, their story as a people and why they are all robbers. The origins of the jawas is in tatooine. Long before tatooine is a desert planet was a florest planet. But because a big war the population was almost destroied. Then they hide in caves and then they evolve to 2 difrente kinds, the jawas and the sand people. You can find a youtuber talking about this ;)
Light speed skipping in TROS and in atmosphere hyperspace entrance in Rogue One kinda blows the whole planet shadow in hyperspace theory out of the water right?

In legends, you had to be a Force sensitive to safely live on Tython without a Force storm killing you. And the Jed'aii order(predecessor to the Jedi and Sith) was there for like 15,000 years. So we easily could see a civilization of Force wielders on Tython. Although how Mando is just supposed to fly there is beyond me. It's supposed to be mystic for a reason: it's hard to get there, AND get off the planet. The civilization there would most likely be unaware of the events of the rest of the galaxy.
Since Mando has no astro mech he is limited to established hyperspace lanes. So when he has to go "off-road" the next thing he should go after is a mech and good Starcharts.
It's also worth mentioning that the galaxy itself is not exactly a disc. And if the milky way galaxy is any indication of the 'geography' of the star wars galaxy the closer to the center you get the more velocity heavenly bodies have. And once you reach the event horizon all bets are off. Thus traveling through the deep core is extremely unpredictable.
Season two has been everything I hoped for and more. Separate enough from existing stories and characters to breath and stretch into new ground, but connected enough to feel familiar and for lack of a better descriptor Star Wars.
The Imperial symbol is supposed to be based on a design that's been around since antiquity. For most of galactic history, an eight-spoked circle has been the norm. The Republic military started using a six-spoke version during the Clone Wars, and the Imperial symbol is a refinement of the Republic six-spoke version.
I'm of the opinion that the way to Tython and even Tython itself is going to be different than what we know from Legends. This is coming from the same guy who has changed and altered previously established stories and characters to fit his vision after all. Even movie characters. This doesn't match with any other previous creators and contributors to the Star Wars universe pre-Disney because everyone else made sure that they examined, asked for advice from, and listened to the experts when it comes to the Star Wars galaxy. Filoni may have done some of the first two but when it came to the third, he didn't listen but rather did his own thing.

Cal is my favorite Jedi soo far, his plot was so nice told on the game Jedi Fallen Order, a proper character, would love to see the future of star wars around Cal Kestis, i dont know if they did use an actor to base his CGI but if not Tom Holland showing up has Cal Kestis would be amazing maybe they will base the next trilogy on him! I was thinking the same thing. My "Filoni-verse" theory/ hope is that we'll get a 2-3 season animated series about Thrawn and Ezra picking up immediately following Rebels. They'll become reluctant allies united in fighting the Gryssk, who are currently at war with the Chiss. Once they are victorious, Thrawn will learn of the Emperor's death and decide it is the right time for the Chiss to strike and expand into the Outer Rim, threatening Lothal and making him and Ezra enemies once again. At the same time there will be a live-action Ashoka and Sabine series about their search for Ezra, but throughout the course of the series they will help Bo-Katan re-take Mandolore and the series finale will be a live-action Ezra showing up out of nowhere to warm of Thrawns plan. Which will then set up an awesome live-action movie trilogy run by Filoni and co-written by Timothy Zahn that has Ezra, Sabine, Ashoka, and Bo-Katan led Mandolore fighting the Thrawn and the Chiss Ascendancy. I would lose my mind if any part of that came true!
Grogu is going to cast lightning from his fingers when they reach the temple. Its going to explain why his memory was erased. Ashoka would try training him if she did not suspect a dark sidd tendency. So mandolorioans next true mission is going to be keep grogu in light side and search luke skywalker
Strap in and get ready for the rollercoaster. It going to start really heating up from here in. Would love to know where Corvus is on the map. That was a bit left field, throwing a new planet into the mix. Everyone was scrambling for their laptops and searching everywhere, when that name dropped.
I feel, like 6 will be a "filler" episode of his journey to the deep core and his run-ins with the New Republic. 7 will prolly be either a continuation of his run-ins with the New Republic, or him stopping on another planet in the deep core. Then I feel like this season will end on a cliff hanger in episode 8 where he goes to the old temple and the jedi is there or arrives shortly after him but we wont see who it is till next season.
8 will be the first live action scenes of Thrawn as the plot deepens with the Moff, Thrawn and the Empire while the New Republic discovers the threat. I think this will also lead the the introduction of Wedge and Rogue Squadron who are dispatched to investigate a growing Empire presence.
I really hope Mando and Grogu take a while getting to Tython, it's the next big step in their journey. It should really take the rest of the season, or the end of this season and the beginning of the next. Even with FTL travel, going from the edge of known space to the Deep Core is not just a hop, skip, and a jump. Unrelated, I just noticed that in the Clone Wars, Ahsoka's head-tentacles are blue with white stripes, but in Mando they're white with blue stripes
I really want to see a sizeable new republic force too. I just want to see what their ships and soldiers look like really, bit hopefully they'll have a decent part to play too.

As an on and off player of SWTOR since launch, I got so excited to hear Ahsoka say Tython. I really hope there are some easter eggs from the game, like maybe a statue of Satele Shan.

I really thought this video carried some weight, and then I saw episode 6.
Well, this video didn't age well. (Tython was located in the Outer Rim in the latest Mando EP)
Up for debate still, someone translated the Aurebesh on the map as he flies in, it says "Region: D Core". So either the map artist got it right for it's old location and they decided to change the location after or it is just easier to get to Tython than other places in the Deep Core (it is close to Coruscant in Legends and on the edge of the deep core).

In legends, you had to be a Force sensitive to safely live on Tython without a Force storm killing you. And the Jed'aii order(predecessor to the Jedi and Sith) was there for like 15,000 years. So we easily could see a civilization of Force wielders on Tython. Although how Mando is just supposed to fly there is beyond me. It's supposed to be mystic for a reason: it's hard to get there, AND get off the planet. The civilization there would most likely be unaware of the events of the rest of the galaxy.

Since Mando has no astro mech he is limited to established hyperspace lanes.

It's also worth mentioning that the galaxy itself is not exactly a disc. And if the milky way galaxy is any indication of the 'geography' of the star wars galaxy the closer to the center you get the more velocity heavenly bodies have. And once you reach the event horizon all bets are off. Thus traveling through the deep core is extremely unpredictable.
Season two has been everything I hoped for and more. Separate enough from existing stories and characters to breath and stretch into new ground, but connected enough to feel familiar and for lack of a better descriptor Star Wars.

It's interesting that the Pyramid that transported the beings to Tython has what appears to be the Imperial symbol on it.
The Imperial symbol is supposed to be based on a design that's been around since antiquity. For most of galactic history, an eight-spoked circle has been the norm. The Republic military started using a six-spoke version during the Clone Wars, and the Imperial symbol is a refinement of the Republic six-spoke version.

I'm of the opinion that the way to Tython and even Tython itself is going to be different than what we know from Legends. This is coming from the same guy who has changed and altered previously established stories and characters to fit his vision after all. Even movie characters. This doesn't match with any other previous creators and contributors to the Star Wars universe pre-Disney because everyone else made sure that they examined, asked for advice from, and listened to the experts when it comes to the Star Wars galaxy. Filoni may have done some of the first two but when it came to the third, he didn't listen but rather did his own thing.

We've got three episodes left. So I'm expecting the last one to be Tython itself and the other two to be about finding safe passage there in exchange for side jobs.
Cal is my favorite Jedi soo far, his plot was so nice told on the game Jedi Fallen Order, a proper character, would love to see the future of star wars around Cal Kestis, i dont know if they did use an actor to base his CGI but if not Tom Holland showing up has Cal Kestis would be amazing maybe they will base the next trilogy on him! Hope never ends, love star wars and would like to see being brought back to what it was, i was approximaly 6 years old when revenge of the sith come out on the Cinema, grow up watching clone wars that era it based my view of star wars

Id love to hear your thoughts on thrawn returning. Do you believe he will launch a similar campaign to that which happened in legends?
I was thinking the same thing. My "Filoni-verse" theory/ hope is that we'll get a 2-3 season animated series about Thrawn and Ezra picking up immediately following Rebels. They'll become reluctant allies united in fighting the Gryssk, who are currently at war with the Chiss. Once they are victorious, Thrawn will learn of the Emperor's death and decide it is the right time for the Chiss to strike and expand into the Outer Rim, threatening Lothal and making him and Ezra enemies once again. At the same time there will be a live-action Ashoka and Sabine series about their search for Ezra, but throughout the course of the series they will help Bo-Katan re-take Mandolore and the series finale will be a live-action Ezra showing up out of nowhere to warm of Thrawns plan. Which will then set up an awesome live-action movie trilogy run by Filoni and co-written by Timothy Zahn that has Ezra, Sabine, Ashoka, and Bo-Katan led Mandolore fighting the Thrawn and the Chiss Ascendancy. I would lose my mind if any part of that came true!

Grogu is going to cast lightning from his fingers when they reach the temple. Its going to explain why his memory was erased. Ashoka would try training him if she did not suspect a dark sidd tendency. So mandolorioans next true mission is going to be keep grogu in light side and search luke skywalker

Strap in and get ready for the rollercoaster. It going to start really heating up from here in. Would love to know where Corvus is on the map. That was a bit left field, throwing a new planet into the mix. Everyone was scrambling for their laptops and searching everywhere, when that name dropped.
I feel, like 6 will be a "filler" episode of his journey to the deep core and his run-ins with the New Republic. 7 will prolly be either a continuation of his run-ins with the New Republic, or him stopping on another planet in the deep core. Then I feel like this season will end on a cliff hanger in episode 8 where he goes to the old temple and the jedi is there or arrives shortly after him but we wont see who it is till next season.
8 will be the first live action scenes of Thrawn as the plot deepens with the Moff, Thrawn and the Empire while the New Republic discovers the threat. I think this will also lead the the introduction of Wedge and Rogue Squadron who are dispatched to investigate a growing Empire presence.

I really hope Mando and Grogu take a while getting to Tython, it's the next big step in their journey. It should really take the rest of the season, or the end of this season and the beginning of the next. Even with FTL travel, going from the edge of known space to the Deep Core is not just a hop, skip, and a jump.
Unrelated, I just noticed that in the Clone Wars, Ahsoka's head-tentacles are blue with white stripes, but in Mando they're white with blue stripes
