30 seconds?! My professor makes me wait 1 minute each time. And only 3-4 seconds when i use the alcohol to decolorize. My work could have been done faster if i waited 30 seconds. Thanks so much!!
This video is pretty good, but uses a nonstandard protocol. It is supposed to be 1 minute for crystal violet and Gram's iodine; 45 seconds for safranin. No more than 15 seconds for decolorizing (3-4 seconds would likely increase the risk of underdecolorizing Gram-ve)
