So sorry that you had to experience grief in your life. Hope you're continuing to fight on and live your life to your best.
Thank you for making me into someone who loves sim racing, and able to make friends because of it. Thank you for all the help you've given to countless people over these years. Thank you for your infectious ability to make us slow down and consider our steps, both on and off the sim rig.
Most of all, thank you for sharing your life with us. Sure we will miss you, but know that we will always cherish this channel for the memories and lessons we gained. Hope that you stay safe, healthy and strong!

Hi Viperconcept. First of all, I'm really sorry about your dad. I wish you and your family the best at this difficult time. I understand and obviously fully respect your decision. Life is made of moments. And thank you for creating a "Grand finale" to this saga. This video couldn't have been better: it was a very competent lesson. You leave your mark on many people's lives and your father will certainly be proud of you. I wish that good winds lead you to good paths. You have many fans here in Brazil!

This is so weird, I swear like a couple weeks ago I had a random 'vision' of you releasing a vid that essentially had all the main important info peeps needed to either get into sim-racing or improve their craft, using all the knowledge you'd gained, and then bam, this vid comes out 🥴 I'm so sorry you went through one of the worst things anyone can experience in this world, and hope the time you had left with your father was as great an experience as it could've possibly been. These past few years have been utterly insane (I myself experienced a bad loss in Jan 2022 that greatly affected me) for lots of us, so your words at the end about using sim-racing to head towards more unity rather than division is definitely welcomed and inspiring.
Hopefully some day down the line we'll see you again, but if not, that's okay too, thank you for the scores of excellent guides you provided over the years, they definitely helped me out greatly I know that much. I sincerely wish you the best of luck in everything you do going forward 🙏

    What a pleasant surprise!!!
Edit: The final advice is so important. I lost my grandfather from cancer last year. Losing a father really hurts, I can't imagine how difficult for Viper it must have been. I'm grateful for being raised by him and I take a lot of inspirations from him because of it. One of my best memories with him was watching formula one together and listening to him ramble, I wish I we could have spent more time together. Although it's a hard lesson it really teaches us the importance of spending more time with our loved ones.
Thank you for everything Viper, I wish you the best! I'll always remember the "slow in, fast out" rule because of you.

I'm so sorry for your grandfather, and i understand you. Lost my sister in December 2021 (same year i lost my grandfather) and it was definetly the hardest moment of the life. Worst of all was seeing my mom get more and more sick. Now we are good and still miss them.
Spend time with your family and friends people. Also, have a great day :)

I'm so sorry for your loss Viper. Seeing you and your dad together was something that made my heart feel warm inside. I speak for many when I say that we wouldn't be the same sim racers without your videos. Heck. If it weren't for you, I might not have gotten my wheel or even took the plunge into sim racing. I delved hours researching your videos and after seeing them, I could see much improvement in myself. Maybe its weird for me to say, but you were almost like a friend to me, one that I may not have spoken to, but it felt just the same, as seeing an old friend go. Thanks for the last gift to us. So long my friend. I hope that your life goes on the up direction from here, cause you very well deserve it, and thank you for your contributions to the sim racing community.

Sorry for your loss, bro. When I lost my dad, almost 4 years ago, it was a huge shock. He was young, in his 50s. But life goes on and I strongly believe that both mine and your father would want us to keep doing the things that makes us happy. Racing videogames makes us happy. And I could bet they both are watching our races, enjoying every overtake and kicking the bucket everytime we spin.
Life goes on. Live as better as you can. That's what your father would want.
Big hugs from a Brazilian guy who started driving because of your lessons and videos.

My Condolences and my thanks for all the help you have provided for all these years. We all experience a low point in our lives but its the choices we make and how we grow from these experiences mold us into better versions of ourselves. I'm sure the choice you are making is the right choice and its the choice you put a lot of thought into as well as your heart. I wish you all the best for your family and your future. Take care Viper 🏎

Since I started SimRacing in 2016, your tutorials were one of the best for me to start understanding my speed, how to get it and with enough practice, I could be somewhat competitive.
In 2023, I still watch them to see if I make a mistake here or there and it definetly helps. But seeing you depart it's tough.
It's like a parent letting their kids free with all the knowledge you can possibly give us preparing ourselves for our battles in the future.
Thank you for these 12 Years.

Drivetrain and Transmission are two different things, but the transmissions would be:
    - Manual
    - Automatic
    - Sequential (either by paddle shifters or rallye style shifter
    - CVT (only 1 continuous forward gear on a cone shaped pulley system) - You can find this gearbox in hybrids like the Toyota Prius in Forza Motorsport 4.
    - Not featured in games as far as I know, but the so named "Pre-Selector Manual". Look up a video on how to drive a Mercedes Unimog if you want to know more, but essentially: High RPM, select gear like a sequential, then clutch in and out.
Only in english it is called 4WD. I know it as All Wheel Drive, and 4WD is essentially a RWD or FWD base that can be switched to 4WD via a lever in the interior. I know that system from older offroaders.
I currently play a lot of ATS after playing a lot of ETS, and in both games I drive my trucks with the same shifter in the video. I drive in H-Pattern with the clutch of my T300RS.
In the newest update the ABS and TC was reworked, and the trucks can now drift, even with a trailer...
I don't think I have seen a Alfa Romeo 147 GTA in a game yet, but that would be a horrible car for a beginner to drive. On the front axle sits a 3.2 liter V6, mounted sideways, that produces 250 HP on the front wheels. That car understeers like hell.

When you told about your dad, i remembered of a post i see, saying about a guy that was racing against the ghost of his dad in a time attack. When he was about to win, he reduced the speed to keep the memories and "ghost" of his dead father. That was heroic (forgive me for my english. It's been a pleasure to know your channel, and the content you post here. Hey Viper,
your videos are a source of inspiration for a lot of people, me included. I always thought while looking at your channel than someday, maybe in the future when your situation will get more stable for you, you'll come back. You came back to send us a beautiful gift which isn't only a gift, but a great proof that you love your community, like the community loves you. I won't make it long because I don't really know what to say after the end of this video with this mouth reveal apart "Sincere condolences" and enjoy the most of your time with your family but I'll end as Dom Toretto said in FF7 when our beloved Paul Walker passed away: I used to say I live my life a quarter mile at a time and I think that's why we were brothers - because you did too. No matter where you are, whether it's a quarter mile away or half way across the world, you'll always be with me.
The racing community loves you really much, as much as I do.
Keep fighting for your life and you'll be granted !
Take care and I really hope to see you really soon (maybe on the track :p)

For race pace, always push toward your fastest pace, not reach the absolute limit and try to bring it back. It's a way to become more consistent because you're already working within speeds you can control, and you can learn where you have to push a little harder to pick up time. But when driving at 90-95%, you can still keep your pace within half a second once you find your consistency.
Sorry about your hardships, but like the rest of the community I'm thankful to you and your sim racing content, and I'm glad you were able to make this video.

I'm sorry for your loss may God comfort your heart I know I don't have the right or the wisdom to say this and I don't know you or your father either but I believe he is in a better place. It's so good to see these tips again, I'm always learning new things, I even took the old videos, took screenshots and put them in a folder called viperconcept tips and tricks. Even today I watch car roulette , the championships and rally, I really miss looking at the channel and not seeing that there's a new car roulette, but if it's for your good and your happiness I understand and wish you good luck and be happy. If one day your life reaches a point where you have free time and want to return to youtube know that we will be looking forward to your return with open arms, so don't ever think you can't come back because there won't be anyone waiting for you, we'll be here 👍

*EDIT:* Damn... That ending message was emotional... Good luck brother.
I learned from another video that slow-in/fast-out might not apply as well to high downforce cars such as LMP and Formula cars due to how the downforce works better, and therefore provides you with more grip, the faster you go. The other video suggested that instead of taking the longest line with slow-in/fast-out, you should take that line that induces the least steering angle so as not to scrub momentum and reduce your downforce.
Also, what's better than heel/toe is left foot braking. Any car with a dog engagement transmission should be able to shift without the clutch safely. All motorcycles that have a constant mesh sequential also have dog-ring engagement and THEY can do it. Modern bikes just come with auto-blippers for the downshifts, and auto-cut for the upshifts despite calling them "quick shifters" like they have different mechanical technology in the transmissions (they don't).
    >If a sim racing game wants to impress me, I care much less about the sound of straight-cut gears, and much more about removing the synchros and installing dog-rings into racing transmissions, especially H-pattern ones. A dog-engagement H-pattern is my favorite transmission in a car, and the most simultaneously rewarding and fun to drive. Second place is a sequential dog-ring, with third being a dual clutch or a fast automatic like the ZF8HP or the Koenigsegg CC850's version of the Lightspeed transmission that has a gated manual mode.
*Also, if this doesn't count, then what's your "real comeback" gonna be if not this 30-minute long tutorial? Are you so soon going to come out with Racing Games Chart pt9? If so, please consider what I commented in pt7 recently.* Having 4 zones to describe physics, and S-A-B-C-D-F tiers for graphics would be far more beneficial than the obtuse "simcade" section and the overfilled arcade section.

All there is for us to do is to thank you for all the time you spent teaching the rest of the world the lessons you´ve been giving us since the begining of your channel. And for that last one i hope you enjoy every second. I hope you don´t feel like you lost any time playing games because I´m sure your father must be truly proud of you for what you´ve accomplished with your youtube channel and also in general. I hope you have a happy and fulfilling rest of your life even though I´d be sad if we never got to see you again. Although I know that it is the best option for you, I hope you manage to find just enough time to come back and let us know how it´s going in the future. Again, thank you and I wish you all the best.

Viperconcept, I am saddened by your loss. It's been around a year and a half since I lost my dad to cancer. Was unexpected and went by so quickly. I can't tell you that it will get easier but I know that you'll be able to carry on because as you said, you have your family and partner to spend as much time with now. Just know that your father has, is and will always be proud of what you have done. Thank you for what you have done for the sim racing community and best endeavours in what ever is next in your life. Au revoir/Arrivederci VC.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, you realize how important your bond and relationship with your family is when you lose someone. It is necessary to spend plenty of time for everything before it is too late. Still, despite everything, life is yours and it goes on. Your contribution to us is priceless. I started following you when I didn't have Assetto Corsa yet, you ignited the racing simulation fire in me. Thanks to your educational videos, I can participate in local races and achieve enough success to be self-sufficient for now, and I know that my success will increase because I have a great teacher behind me. Thank you, teacher, for your support and education. I hope your future life will be very happy, lucky and beautiful. Who knows, maybe we'll meet again somewhere one day, my friend. Until then, stay safe. Keep your smile on your face and spread joy to those around you. Kind regards.
And as always:slow IN, fast OUT.
