even in the case you could race in real life, you can't just do it exactly every time you want. sim racing gives you that kind of opportunity. another plus is that you could "relive" the history of motor racing through simracing, use old cars at their maximum potential on tracks that don't exist anymore (or old layouts)
If nothing else, it will give us a platform to find likeminded individuals across many different games. I’d love to give raceroom a go with some other sim enthusiasts.
I remember. It was on F1 the game. But I don't remember the year. I was playing online on the Interlagos track and I was fighting for the podium during several laps. I was leading then, il the final (long) turn before the line, He crosses me into the inside and we were wheel to wheel until the finis line. He won but it was the best race I'll always remember. Sim racing it's real !!
Whether the cars are real or virtual. The racing is always real. Those who say otherwise are just idiots. Not all of us are the age or the more inaccessible part. The money. You can’t say real racing is cheaper. You need a car. You need lots of spare money. And it can spiral out of control depending how much you spend on said car. And don’t forget the money for track days. Actual racing, etc. this is a hobby to a lot of us. Not our lives like some of us would like it to be.
I kind of sim race(with a t150 on nr2003) and I do it because in northwest us there’s no spots to race at and no stores to buy quality gear, so I decided to go with virtual racing
Add 2 points to the above. One is that what you learn in simracing is helpful for driving more safely on open road, for example when it comes to manage emergency maneuvers or predict a situation requiring extra prudence. Second (it may not be worth for everyone, I know), since when I started enjoying simracing I found myself driving more carefully and even more slowly on open roads, both because of awareness of the car's limits, and because the place to run like hell is in my computer already, I don't feel eagerness to do it in every street anymore!
Well I buyed my Logitech G29 when I was 13 from my pocket and my Birthday money all you gotta do is save as much as you can,I'm trying to now save for a T248,so you can even with not much
I've brough a Logitech G27 10 years ago along with a PS3, mostly to play Gran Turismo 6 and some other arcade games. I was so bad at it that i prefer to play with the analogic stick LOL! It was taking dirt until I've fould your channel. Now I'm playing some games like Automobilista Snetterton and Assetto Corsa, and God, I'm improving my skills everyday! Thank you so much!!!
I just recently got a racing sim set up to prepare myself for Gran Turismo 7. However, my racing skill is lacking, is self learning and TH-cam ok to learn or should I bite the bullet and hire a coach?
Your channel actually showed me that something like Sim-Racing exists and there are games which are actually more detailed in physics and simulate reality unlike EA Racing Games. Thank you for the content and keep up the good work 👍
I never had wheel or stuff (I spent 400 bucks on new laptop and that is my limit for next year at least on to any machinery) but I definitely can enjoy long long races (like F1 (three way title fight until last race, hell yeah); NASCAR (all green superb Talladega race with no idea where I gonna end up) and GT championships (at some point could get better lap times without TC than with... year ago I would spin 5 times per lap.. now going with low TC with most of cars and most of times can survive some laps... hehe) during last year or so) on keyboard with car setups (for F1 I might have 50 laps of telemetry for some tracks....), tire wear, fuel mileage, weather, strategy and all other aspects. Suits very will with countryside lifestyle (to do something during dark/winter time).
I have a g29, you can see my assetto videos drifting (sorry spam) but i'll recommend u the t248 or t150 The g29 is a great wheel if you are casual but if u want to play some videogames about full sim competitive online or very often, the g29 maybe its a little bad cuz the ffb is not enough strong after 2 months of use
@Niko, yeah is a common issue of G27, G29 and G923: dirt and dust ruins the potentionmeter. You gotta disassemble and reassemble the pedals every year to clean the inside.
Can i be honest 2:27 im using my phone as a steering wheel😅 and i have to swipe on the right side down to exelerate and swipe down on the left side to brake but to be honest if u have the Feeling for it u can still have awesome fights and lap time but of course its Auto gear and sometimes i wish i had a steering wheel but i also can live with my phone
I can't afford to buy a sim wheel so I almost built a diy wheel. But now I'm stuck with a unfinished mess thanks to parts shortage. And now here I am playing with a keyboard.
I enjoy these games, but i only play with joystick, the sterring wheels are extremely expensive in my country. Until i could buy the Logitech sterring wheel, i Will continue having fun with the joysticks. Sorry about any english mistakes, im still learning
simracing is all about passion fun competition and love for cars and human endeavor no joystick and steering wheel controller can stop us from simracing.
Mannaggia, io ho un auto vera per correre, una Fiat 850 con sotto un motore preparato della 112Abarth, la 75hp, però non c'è un circuito dove correre qui in Abruzzo, forse a Lanciano, ma è sempre occupato dalle moto
I step into a Sim-Racing game with Rfactor 1 (Cuz I have a low-end PC), then I play Grid Autosport, BeamNG, Asetto Corsa, LFS, NetKar Pro. Yeah, I usually play with the keyboard, and sometimes I end up being caught by my mom :(
I dreaming to buy good wheel and play games like Asetto Corsa, ETS2, Snow Runner, GT Legends (all time fav), GTR. When I get better job - I will buy G29 or something.
I love to play GTL too, in general i like old cars. Snoweunner don't work too well with steering wheels (at least with my G27), maybe patches improved it, idk

True! Only Goodwood and a few other tracks around the world give that opportunity, but with greater risks that racing modern cars.

For real lol.
I was playing GT Sport and looked up his channel to see if he had any discord servers lol

My reason to start Sim Racing is your channel, Viper. Thanks for showing me the beauty of it.
Same here. Thanks to him I know what I'm doing and I have fun. Although, in my case I don't race against people cause I still suck 🤣
Motivazioni aggiuntive
-Non rischi di farti male
-È uno sport molto più onesto delle corse vere, certe furbate è molto più difficile farle
E invece di correre sempre con le solite persone, puoi correre contro chiunque nel mondo
i want to say a thing for you
i learn a lot in your videos and i'm grateful for this
thank you man
Thumbs up for improving your accent. I'm half Irish half French and suck at both so I appreciate the effort .
Thank you ☺️
Top 1 reason why you shouldn't: money
Well I buyed my Logitech G29 when I was 13 from my pocket and my Birthday money all you gotta do is save as much as you can,I'm trying to now save for a T248,so you can even with not much
Still cheaper than real life racing

coach yourself through more seat time, you can never get enough experience, everything else is secondary

Me who Plays already SimRacing Games : *Interesting*
can somebody tell me if the logitech g29/g923 is recommended to start sim racing like assetto corsa or f1 2021 and dirt rally 2.0 to name a few?
Its a decent wheel but I got a problem with my throttle pedal potentiometer after a year which made it unusable so I wouldn't personally recommend it.
Yes, but in few years you will want more so i think is better a t300 or t150 to start
I have a g29, you can see my assetto videos drifting (sorry spam) but i'll recommend u the t248 or t150

T300 is the best option, With 3 pedals
