the lockbar bannana'ed you can see it clearly on the video , the lockbar should be straight from the cutout to the end and it looks curved like a nanner , def not heat treated ....... if you straighten it out got it moved over you might get a better detent ...the ball would seat fully then as is the front side( pivot ) of the ball sits farther in the hole than the rear of the ball ( pocketclip ) straightening it will even it out but the consistent problem is going to be the un-heat treated lockbar.
It banana'd out from bending it to push harder against the blade. I may try to mess with it some more to finesse it, but I'm worried that the affected areas will just snap.
@@knivesiguess I agree plus one has to ponder how long the soft lockbar will last before you get play at lockup , thats just wild they would even do that on a cheap knife.
the percentage of lock-up depends on where the lock bar is bent. if you straighten it out and bend it closer to the root then you will be at 50or 60%. edit: bigger radius ;-)
I'm wondering if Albatross has two different divisions in their company. One making the good ones like the FK and then another making these knife shaped objects.
I was doing a thought experiment to see if I could put together an EDC for a $25 gift card I have and was looking at that knife right when this popped up in my feed.

After all of these cheap knives I've handled I'm 0% surprised

I bent it where it naturally wanted to go. All I wanted was more pressure on the detent which didn't accomplish much.

Greater than zero chance of that
Did you try the gut hook on pallet plastic wrap?
Yeah, it sucked ass at that.
@ things that make you go hmmmmmm!
More last-er than @Gravy_seal
An even more stunning lack of victory

I'd say pass on it just because the detent is iffy on it's best day.
thats a decent looking beater. sorry gravy.
It might hold up well enough to carry. We're gonna try.
Looks cool for five bucks, ok if it is safe, and does not close up on you.
I still wouldn't recommend it
