There were some questions you asked yourself during this, so I’ll see if I can answer the hypotheticals for anyone who’s curious. - The red door copy under the floor has all the positions of its components at 0. (Since all the parts of the door move relative to each other when animating) This makes it easy to copy the original door state for if you wanted to remove the original collided door model and add an animation or physics for it to open. Though really, this door should be invisible and then brought into the active game state right when it’s needed because it’s still using up visual resources. - The walls in the hole room are thick most likely because game devs are afraid of thin barriers as they are more susceptible to clipping and overall collision issues. - Kissy is set to be unaffected by lighting as a lighting trick to create contrast in that cutscene. It works surprisingly well and you won’t notice it in the actual game unless you’re looking for it. - The wuggy is contorted like that because as you said before the entire model has to be there regardless. He’s probably maintaining the same facial expression he had when he made the jumpscare, except now he’s out of view. His arms however still need to appear in front of the player as if they’re being hugged to death. It almost doesn’t resemble an Indy game at all. Most of it is really cleanly done. As a game designer of 5 years this was interesting content to see. Keep it coming :)
I knew about the door because I used to mess around with coding and learned how to make opening and closing doors using a method just like that. Also the source engine does something similar to that but instead has the door entity automatically calculate the second states position so the extra door isn't there and it still is able to have two states.
Didn’t know your pulling a Shesez and doing some boundary breaking. It suits you. You should do it more. The mistakes such as the audio replaying and you not reading from a script gives it a unique spin that I really enjoy. Again, keep it up! Btw 3:05 is the best thing ever. Love it to bits.
My guess about the darkness on Missy is that's its a texture that is removed/applied as she leaves and re-enters the darkness to give the illusion her model is fading into the darkness texture behind her.
3:54 I do a bit of 3d modeling and usually when people make two of something like the door, it is due to its change of interaction. One door was simply a locked one, treated like a wall, while after receiving the key, triggers the door to switch, making it able to open. When separated like that, stops it from getting stuck and becoming a wall again. Note: I am not sure what or where the trigger is, either receiving the key or using it to unlock the door. Most likely it would be receiving the key as you won't see the switch, although most of the times it's so quick its basically like a frame second.
seeing this guy have fun with explaining and showing us all of this makes this so much more entertaining than how others do it, I absolutely love that. keep making content, man!
Seeing how more complicated this game is (since... last time blindfold happened) is honestly funny. There are more junpscares, and honestly, the huggy ones made my day--
is it at all possible to do the final round of the "simon says" minigame properly without hitting that rotating button? im genuinely curious if the thing says only buttons available to you and if so, if it would be possible with a TAS to keep up with him.
@@dashie-nyan i figured the round just didnt end til you died. wouldve been sweet if you could keep up, and it would end right before death so you could complete it. and get some unique dialogue.

The way he said "the void" was remarkably similar to the way Zanny Zebra says "Theeeereeee" when descending into a painter's madness whilst imitating Bob Ross and its just too beautiful
It might be really outdated but i still prefer a half life style loading in an entire different map all at once connected to the previous one seamlessly in instead of one huge map with no loadings being dynamically rendered in for it's honesty
10:05 And now, a line from a very popular indie horror game/series: "I WALKED DOWNSTAIRS AND WHEN I GOT TO THE BOTTOM, INSTEAD OF PROCEEDING, I TURNED TO THE RIGHT AND BECAME A SHADOW MONSTER MAN." (Or woman in this case)
Im so proud of you spigg almost 200k! Also, Kissy Missy is most likely dark like that on purpose, notice how in the cutscene she is pitch black, this is probably because they want players to have a moment of thrill and then confusion.
To be honest, it's usually way less hardware-intensive to have just a portion of a model made than it is to use the full model (like why most characters in FPS games have no feet). Though in some cases, I can see why they kept the Mommy Longlegs model off-screen in a few areas since it is easier to adjust her position to the place you need her when the time is right. Other cases, like the one at 18:03 I find to be a bit ridiculous since the player is never normally going to see much anyway, they could of putting that other model closer to the door rather than stretching it out all the way to the next room like that.

I’m so happy I stumbled upon that Giga Monty video, been loving the channel ever since
Same

I am giga monty 😨
My guess about the darkness on Missy is that's its a texture that is removed/applied as she leaves and re-enters the darkness to give the illusion her model is fading into the darkness texture behind her.
"Look, it's the piss Huggy." I laughed til it hurt.
3:09 ITS A GOOFY BOOFY MONSTER
11:30 THATS A MEME TEMPLATE RIGHT THERE LOL

Love the video Spiff! Considering I know basically nothing about Poppy Playtime, it's fun seeing your videos as the only context I get
Seeing how more complicated this game is (since... last time blindfold happened) is honestly funny.
There are more junpscares, and honestly, the huggy ones made my day--

is it at all possible to do the final round of the "simon says" minigame properly without hitting that rotating button? im genuinely curious if the thing says only buttons available to you and if so, if it would be possible with a TAS to keep up with him.
Not possible even with a TAS, Bunzo Bunny keeps on lowering during the call out. And the call out itself has no end so yeah
@@dashie-nyan i figured the round just didnt end til you died.
wouldve been sweet if you could keep up, and it would end right before death so you could complete it. and get some unique dialogue.
@@dashie-nyan and also, unless I'm blind, some of the things it tells you to press are not even buttons, since I did try and check to see if I could even hit an correct button.
1:40 “Oh, look! It’s the piss huggy.”
i like his recording. he has character and isnt a mindless robot reading a script. you can tell this was recorded while playing
The way he said "the void" was remarkably similar to the way Zanny Zebra says "Theeeereeee" when descending into a painter's madness whilst imitating Bob Ross and its just too beautiful

It might be really outdated but i still prefer a half life style loading in an entire different map all at once connected to the previous one seamlessly in instead of one huge map with no loadings being dynamically rendered in for it's honesty
source game loading is always pretty good

Hello, Also Jennifer.
Im so proud of you spigg almost 200k! Also, Kissy Missy is most likely dark like that on purpose, notice how in the cutscene she is pitch black, this is probably because they want players to have a moment of thrill and then confusion.
3:09 Wasn't also expecting that LMAO moments XD
Ngl. The different Color huggy Wuggys Jumpscares Sound So adorable!:0
Other cases, like the one at 18:03 I find to be a bit ridiculous since the player is never normally going to see much anyway, they could of putting that other model closer to the door rather than stretching it out all the way to the next room like that.
just in case you don't know, this strategy is "IF THE PEOPLE CANT SEE IT, SCREW IT"
