When I was like 9 or 10 I realized that I really like raw celery and carrots, so I had this plan that I would eat so much celery and carrots now that I would never have to eat a vegetable as an adult. Sadly food doesn't work like that

As someone who ate flowers younger(mainly dandelions), and did some research after stopping, flowers that are edible have a surprisingly high concentration of nutrients and flavors, and are actually good to be used in salads and as garnish(which some restaurants do) once they've been washed
And many flowers are commonly used in food and drink, like lavender, hibiscus, honeysuckle, and chamomile which have been used in teas commonly, nasturtium which is a savory multicolored flower used in as garnish in some dishes, and even something like roses which is pressed for the essence that is then used in turkish delights

@@xal7034 to be honest i think there are cases where we intuitively consume things because our bodies need them, without us really knowing it. There was one kid who ate so much salt but turns out his body needed it.
Spiff's laugh is less of him finding something funny, and more of him knowing it will make great content.
Edit: I'm not hating on him, it just shows how much he loves his job.

@@tysongentle5517 there is a lot of organized crime in Canada. But most don't have a specific name. If it's Asian and near Toronto then it's probably Chinese. But it doesn't mean they are part of the triad, though it could mean they work with the triad.

About the Asian Mafia story: I've heard from my time in the Weeb community that bartenders and cafe's in Japan will have regular dealings with the Yakuza there. Just a heads up if you thought taking a job as a barista in Japan would be a simple way to earn money staying there. I hadn't heard they started globalizing to Canada, but the fact that the Asian Mafia was specifically buying Cafe's is not the weirdest part of that story.
Canada, especially in BC has a MASSIVE Asian population. So the Chinese Mafia being here isn't really surprising.
I don't think I've ever wanted to be there live to watch a content creator's stream as much as Spiff, like the streams look like a fun time and god the chat is so funny-

The expired food story has reminded me of when i drank expired milk that started turning to buttter in HS
So short story is id pack my own milk for lunch and had an icepack to keep it cool that i swaped with a spare in the fridge
every now and then id forget and it would be a bit stale but still drinkable by lunchtime which is what i thought happened on a wed before a 4 day weekend since it tasted off. during the entire 4 day weekend i never once pulled a drink out of that fridge had soda/other bottled drinks or ate out or from the fridge water so monday rolls around i had my milk it was cold when i pull it out so i take a drink and gag and almost puke because the thing tasted way too sour almost like a cream and im wondering what the hell call my dad let him know thinking maybe it was the batch we bought and they were all bad so he plays a hunch and leaves a thermoter on the top shelf where we keep the lunch drinks and low and behold we are like 10 degrees above the safe temp and what was happening was the fridge would freeze over its own vents because of how old it was and it was all internal so we had to replace the entire thing and stop using the top shelf as all the hot air collected their and would spoil everything and when i did the math for how long the milk had been in that condition before getting into my lunchbox with the icepack it had been left alone for like 8 days so if those spoil in like a half a day i was way past the safe date to consume it and was a bit sick the rest of the day but it was mostly the taste that never left I have never left class to go to the water fountain for refills so many times in one day.

The storm drains we have over here are a big bigger, but since it's a small town they only need to go under tracks and roads. They are big enough so that you can half crouch, half crawl through them. I was on a walk during a rainstorm one day with my umbrella hat and decided to hang out in one of the drains since the storm was getting bad. Ended up falling asleep for about an hour and the thing remained mostly dry the entire time despite the flooding ditches.
Also, accidentally ate mustard that was 2 and a half years past it's expiration date while taking care of my grandma. (Ended up missing part of a stream due to that and came back during the robo bird? boss fight in tyke's and sons a few weeks ago. When ever I watched the vod I realized why spiff laughed when he read off my message lol.)
At 22:00 you can actually tell their size by the consistent boxes in the background, the piss clown is slightly higher on the lowest box closest to their feet but reaches the same top box the fruit punch clown does. If you put them side by side matching the rows of boxes you would be able to get a better view. (I cant remember if I was there for this stream so I'm lining it out here lol)

heres my poison control related story. (its a short one, i swear)
i was five years old, and i wondered "if i eat a ton of toothpaste, would i be able to clean my skeleton? (i had just learned on a tv show that teeth are bones) so i drank 1 and a half things of tooth paste. thankfully, during the 2nd tube, my mom had walked in and realized what i was doing. to this day, my mom still thinks i was trying to commit you know what at 5 years LMAO

God I can't imagine how you felt with your feet in freezing river. One time I spent half an hour outside in the winter, 16°F, with some INSANE wind blowing, my hands turned all white, and it hurt so fucking bad warming them up, and there was no river. This was all to get a nice pic of the sunrise. It turned out to be a cloudy day.

Anyway, I didn't tell anybody because I thought it'd be a hilarious way to die. It was fine though we had them for dinner :) )
