I just recorded my reactions to Team Four Star's The History of Trunks Abridged. Because I felt like it. I'm not sure if I'm going to do more in the future.
If anyone knows how to improve the layout, tell me. Keep in mind I'm only using iMovie.

The scene with Gohan's death is even more effective if you know what the music is referencing. The song is from the Doctor Who episode "Doomsday", and it plays near the end when [SPOILER ALERT] Rose and the Doctor realize they'll never be able to see each other again.

Already been stated, but the music when Gohan died was from Doctor Who (Doomsday, by Murray Gold).
That is a recurring joke in maybe all of Trunks' appearances because he's a time traveler (his time machine even makes TARDIS noises when dematerializing).
in Super Android 13 when Trunks says "I'm a time traveler from 17 years in the future..." the music is "I Am The Doctor", also from Doctor Who (first heard in the episode The Elevevnth Hour).

I totally agree. This is definitely one of their better episodes. I can't wait to see the differences between future Gohan and Gohan from the Buu saga.

If You listen well in 20:40... you can here screaming in the background which is vegeta's scream continuity from episode 18 in the tfs abridged series...
Wow, you picked up on quite a few things I missed there. Great job by the way, watching it a second time made me appreciate first reactions much more ;) also at the end when Trunks is in the time machine, it fades away with the TARDIS noise from doctor who as well.
Originally I thought that Gohan absorbed Piccolo like he did with Nail and Kame, but then the dragonballs would still be around and they could wish back everyone who was dead so... yeah.
Anyway great job again and nice job syncing the facecam to the video. :D

Gohan absorbing Piccolo would have been interesting. Even if it's not possible. I guess it was really there to do the whole Future Gohan=Piccolo thing.

Hm...I'm not sure which version is better. I'd say they're about equal? TFS has the privilege of it being shorter, so Kaiser doesn't have to scream for a ridiculously long time, like in the original.
I've seen Light of Hope. It's pretty amazing. It has issues, but it's the first good attempt at live-action DBZ that wasn't Man of Steel.

When you realize Gohan knowingly went on a suicide to inspire Trunks's super Saiyan form.
The song used during the scene when Trunks walks towards Gohan's corpse is called Doomsday and is from Doctor Who.

That means Bulma is one of THE last humans in that multiverse. Which also means she's trapped in that world alone. Because if it acted on a straight timeline then the world should've started changing Immediately after Trunks left.

There is one thing that annoys me about The History of Trunks.
Remember how Gohan goes absolutely nuts when someone he even remotely cares for dies? (looking at you android 16).
Future Gohan has trained for years while fighting the androids. Shouldn't he you know, have ascended when Piccolo died?
Also I think you missed Vegeta's time chattering scream at 20:40
He didn't see Piccolo die though. And to be fair, he probably did go nuts when he met the Androids for the first time in that timeline, probably the reason why he of all Z Fighters managed to survive the initial fight. Him going nuts simply wasn't enough this time.

History of Trunks is great normal and abridged but I poked the biggest holes in it,everyone's dead but they never mentioned mr.popo so couldn't he be alive and get gihan and trunks to the hyperbolic time chamber to train for the androids? And what about king Kai? Couldn't he have just talked to gohan and contact the namekians to wish back piccolo for the dragon balls to return and wish back everyone else? Just saiyan haha but still good special and DBZ will always be my fav anime

What can I say, it was pretty emotional. I was getting a little teary. I think that just speaks volumes on how well they did that scene.

Why cant cell kill this androids from future trunks timeline? It will be more satisfying to see cell be all creepy while eating them.
Because Trunks at some point returns and finally kills these guys. That's when Cell killed him and took his time machine.
