Dude. There are two things that make your videos compelling. One, you are super passionate about harvesting and making food and it is from the heart! The other thing that makes your videos compelling is that you're really humble. Keep it up.
Kinda tense to get the drone just right in your spot and control/catch! Love how you introduce those panoramic above footage. Thanks for your weekly entertainment!
Taku, a man of many talents. Caught the crabs, flew the drone from and retrieved it on a kayak, made the beautiful bowls, made the best ramen I've ever seen, taught us to slurp our ramen and licked the spoon. Can it get any better? Thank you Almost forgot, love the crab carapace ladle.
Me and my wife really loves your videos!!! We even tried your recipe of cooking them and I have never felt so completed! Thank you for everything you do for us fans!
11:17 I'm sure Taku knows this since he's an actual chef, but for those of you who didn't, using dental floss (or thin sewing thread) cuts the egg better without distorting the yolk. In fact, many ramen shops do it that way.
I think the biggest thing preventing me from getting into this kind of cooking is the inability to know what to buy sauce-wise. On these videos there's always some cool sauce or paste used that has Japanese or Chinese on it. Even if I were to go to the Asian markets, I wouldn't know the first thing about finding that. Maybe a video on various sauces you use and what to look for in the markets?
This soup was basically the water he boiled the crabs in, with the shells added back in, plus dried kelp, dried bonito flakes, and the miso packet from the packed ramen. And he just put some chili oil in the bowl before adding the soup in.
he named the sauce in the video, its called rayu, a japanese chili oil, and you can buy it on Amazon. I didn't even know what rayu was before watching this video and a 30 second google search yielded a ton of answers. it's not that hard to look up things yourself.
Great thing about sauces is that you can always experiment with variations. While I wouldn't slather A1 BBQ sauce on these, you can try different chili sauces if you don't have access to the sauces used.
Well, kinder to let them go gently, but you need to be quick if you don't want to get pinched! So you toss them by their back legs as gently as you can. Heartbreaking when they're just *barely* undersized.
My wife and I have found a new love for Miso with a curry cube added to the broth, I have it almost every morning, adding a curry cube to your broth will add another level to your meal. Great video!
Taku is one of the most humble and calm person to make videos about catch and cook because looking at some other youtubers, they tend to overreact and it just makes us uncomfortable. Keep it up taku... makes me wanna get up and go diving for crabs❤
Strongly recommend you get some Dungeness if you can get your hands on it.. I've had a lot of both, and Dungies have WAY more flavor, and a better texture too.
Stomach virus? Maybe after including the crab juices in the broth. Looks really good but I would have excluded the yellow-green crab juice and domoic acid.

The entire stock of "instant noodles" are high in demand throughout Asia. Due to the pandemic. My comment is all about people eating instant ramen like me, because we all Can't go outside. The markets are on shutdown. So the only thing we can feast on are canned goods and noodles, it's cheap and easy to cook.
@@frankteng nissin cup noodles seafood flavor still taste great. Lol I hope this pandemic is over. I missed some good ol' beef loins and roast chicken, majority of the flea market in my country are closed. 😔

Good one Taku, not everyone like the guts/mustards or whatever people may call it that are in the crab, usually they will just rinse it away, but I like it. You might want to have a video to show how you extract the crab meat out of the shell and make it informative for people. Keep it up and stay humble. God bless you.

That drone footage was so satisfying along with the Lofi song. Perfect.

Taku is eating good while most people are eating .20 cent ramen.
He's always eating good.
It’s actually 80 cents here
.20 cents is less than 1 cent. That's 0.002 dollars
Makes sense. He's fishing, scavenging, and cooking his own food. That's the definition of eating good.
If I can fking cook i won't have to depend on 20¢ ramen
The cooking segments are the best part in my opinion. He always makes exceptional food
