Welcome to the Letterman TH-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. And for those of you who like Miscellaneous, you may very well find some Miscellaneous here.
I love these old shows. Such great memories. Thanks Dave!
It's always interesting to see how awkward things were at the start of the show.
Paul's shirt doubles as a nautical flag warning other ships of scurvy on board. Fashion meets function.
And now Steve’s a Rolling Stone!
What’s Steve’s last name?
@@natalieconforti6898 Jordan
Jordan, and yes he is!
Yup! And he plays wonderfully on their new album, Hackney Diamonds. He really does the great Charlie Watts proud.
That's just plain funny. Dave did a great job trying to keep the show rolling.
I remember seeing this 1982 show as an NBC repeat in 1985. As a rule, ‘Tonight Show’ reruns were maybe 12 - 14 months old. ‘Late Night’ would sometimes go deeper into their library.
Dave read my free ad on small town news one year 😂
Steve Jordan! Awesome drummer…always loved his work with Keith Richards and the Winos, and now he’s doing one helluva job with the Stones proper. His playing on their new album, Hackney Diamonds, is a wonderful tribute to the legendary and beloved Charlie Watts.
Ahhhhhhggggghhhhhhh! Please show us Captain Beefheart!!!!!!!
Yeah, what a tease.
5:17 Mr. Dave Crabapple! 😀
Over 40 years ago. We were young once....
Well, I was looking forward to Captain Beefheart, and then the clip ended
Oooooh, and I was looking forward to Merv.
It's a ging-ging kind of a fresh kick!
THANKS
That mic on the desk looks different than the one usually used by Dave.
It's a very old, early episode.
------------------- funny ....so does Paul's......show was probably being bugged .... thanks4sharing
Not sure why the title says the show got hijacked. By Steve Jordan, I guess? I was expecting Hamas to invade the set.
The Hamas episode was a couple of years after this one.
Or at least the Freedom Caucus
Hmm…maybe bringing up Hamas isn’t the best comedy material.

A statement from my publicist:
"I am aware that some in the comments section of the Letterman You Tube channel have been offended by my recent statement regarding Hamas terrorists. I offer my humblest apologies to the Letterman You Tube community, as well as lunatic Islamic jihadists around the world - I know that they (supposedly) have feelings, too. It was never my intention to hurt anyone and I will take this opportunity to reflect on my ignorance and hopefully grow to become the better person I know I can be."
Was this funnier? 😁
