right!!! it wasn't slow, but it felt very heavy - like someone walking, stumbling and then on their knees pleading for forgiveness in the street. loud and frantic and desperate and despairing!
Definitely my favorite interpretation of this piece. I think he played it much better here than in his 1st round. Also the phrasing at 3:11 is super unique and very nice sounding, I’m trying to copy it lol
I don't understand how can he play in such a soft way. Idk how to describe it and i don't know anything about piano music, but it just sounds good and i'm gonna use this to study. Thank you so much
I am very afraid of needles, so when I was little, my mom would take me to the store afterwards and let me get a treat. I frequently got those little $5 instrumental compilation CDs with press-button demos. The classical piano one... I don't know who the pianist was that handled it, but it felt like every version of Gymnopedies or Nocturne or Pavane I heard afterwards just couldn't compare. It's been over 20 years. Anyway, Hayato did it here. I am very grateful for the music.
By far 1 of the best interpretation ive heard for this piece. Simply splendid 😢
shivers all over, even if it wasn't as slow as i usually like it. might be my favourite interpretation i've heard. absolutely amazing and breathtaking

Brilliant , a bit slower would be my preference but he played how the music drove him, he played better than most
By far my favorite interpretation of this piece.
There were many great performances in this competition, but Hayato was something else entirely. I look forward to the wonderful things he will do.

@4:45 Pedaling+ phrasing there is next level :0
and amazing how the passionate melody still soars above those massed chords.
He was my favorite from the first time I saw him play in the Warsaw competition live stream
Definitely my favorite interpretation of this piece. I think he played it much better here than in his 1st round.

I agree completely
Hayato Sumino is the best pianist. He's interpretation Chopin's music is excellent by a world❤
I especially like the ending of Hayato's performance, strong, expressive, just phenomenal.🧡
Brilliant in all respects. From the heart.
What a beautiful soul
It was a performance that really touched my heart.
True talent touches the heart..👍🏻
the way his hair flips got me feeling some typa way
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
……………
😑
I understand
This made me laugh my butt off. Hopefully, I can find it in time for the next Chopin Competition, otherwise I'll have to stand the whole time.
So so beautiful
Chopin!❤ Sumino!❤ Top of the Top!! ...exquisite!! 🎵✨👏👏👏🙏
Stunning with intensity👍💐👏🙏 and softness, beautiful rubato
Magic! Just poetry, great taste, tempo, sensitivity, bravo cateen!!
4:52 left hand is genius❤
My favorite interpretation.
Excellent interpretation by a world-class pianist
I love piano and I love Chopin.
He is the best I would say
Hermosa interpretación
Beautifully played! Top skill!

that was a nice story
😅I listen to this song every morning
the dislikes were probably from the people who had to play the nocturne
Facts bro
I'm learning it rn
@@fionaw9954 yeah It’s rough was so hard to get the doppio section exactly how I wanted
Also the 3:45-3:50 part was actually okay. 3:57 is strangely hard
Same account as fionaw9954
Beautiful!
Qué interpretación❤
his hair covers his emotions, just like how that chorale tries to hide the despair
Beautifully measured performance. Bravo.
thanks for sharing the vid
Thank you for uploading this one.I,m subscriber, too.
My favorite and played beautifully, Rubinstein would be proud
Beautyfull interpretation, for particulary touch and sound .

He’s not in finals thats too bad
He’s good but he’s too nervous in the third round
Being able to get in to the competition means a lot already.
Finalists are comparing only between 99 and 100 marks:)
He is already above 95 marks.

This is not a place for you to bark.
Not even close to Cho's version, it is interesting that his version has become already legendary. Period.
Cho's version: technically better? Probably. More affected? Definitely. More musical than this? Hell no. Cho leaves me cold.
Not sure what you saw in Cho? Not impressed by Cho's Nocturne, Polonaise or Rachmanioff or...
@@barneyd9785 I don't think Cho is technically refined or affecting.
@Martin Jungwirth. This video is about Hayato and his beautiful performance. No other
Pianist's name need be mentioned. Show some respect
so good. only cho does this piece better.
。 Disagree.
Cho is mot hetter.
Too rush.
Technically yes artistically no
Another pretentious arm chair critic
I agree, I didn't like the interpretation
