The UAE is amazing. I stayed in Sharjah a few weeks. I stayed in the Sharjah youth Hostel(had my own room), and it was awesome. 1 minute away from a a road with taxis, surrounded by cheap awesome restaurants with food from all over the world, right by the water, and in the old part of town. We stayed in a walled in area that felt like old Arabia, the hotel had a courtyard that all men gathered at night to smoke, eat, and talk. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and nothing comes close to amazing experience as this place. Exploring the city, going to the Burj khalifa, the souks, the life, the religious atmosphere, it's one of the few places I could live outside the US. If you haven't been yet do yourself a favor and go!!!!

I just bought a house in UAE roughly S 4M (Im a resident right now). and Im already falling in love with this country. Very Safety and Modern. Cost of living is quite expensive but with comparison of Los Angeles.. Its just 30-50% more (Im only eat at restaurants in the malls). Car is cheap with 10% more that CA, Labour is even cheaper ..

Good video but there are some inaccurate things about the video such as the richest person in the UAE. The richest person in the UAE is one of 6 sons of Bani Fatima the favorite wife of the founding father of the nation. H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the president of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi but because of his current health condition as he had a stroke in 2014, the crown prince Mohammed Bin Zayed al Nahyan the younger brother of Sheikh Khalifa basically runs the affairs of the country. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed is also another younger brother Sheikh Khalifa who also undoubtedly one of if not the richest people in the UAE. I don't blame the video for saying Pavel Durov is the richest in the country as there are some laws that state the owner of a company or business can be put on another name instead of the actual owner which is why it's so hard to estimate the true net worth of individual members of the royal family. the UAE also have several sovereign wealth funds that in total accumulate anywhere from 1.2 trillion USD to 1.5 trillion USD. With ADIA being the largest sovereign wealth fund being managed by Sheikh Khalifa the president of the UAE controlling assets anywhere from 700 billion USD to almost 900 billion USD. I really love the UAE and their leaders as I think they put the country and have been putting them on track of success for as long as the UAE as a nation has existed. I only hope for the best of the UAE and the growth and prosperity of the UAE.

This is one of those stories leaders of developing countries can draw inspiration from. I have a great deal of respect for the former leaders who realized the need for growth, took measures, and have now leveled up. Listening and reading notes along with this video reminds me of corruption among many nations including that of my native land. It is such ashamed for people to be living in impoverished conditions and yet to be surrounded by abundant natural resources. Strategic planning indeed requires great and genuine leadership which I am sure the Emirates have long been aware of. The trend of the world economy and advancement in technology will make dependent on oil for economic growth non-existent or obsolete which means the Emirates cannot survive the future just on oil. I am a National of an oil-rich Nation like UAE and we have not come up with a sustainable path out of Oil- dependence either. Our Human Capital that we have educated for free, has emigrated. The 2008 crash and the current Pandemic has exposed the weakness in diversifying into Tourism. Our reputation for Corruption is too high to introduce a regional Financial Hub, but hey that never stopped anybody. Lol I think my Leaders are looking to the Nordic countries as a Model how to manage our resources and eventually wean ourselves off it. The plan seems to be centered around infrastructure building, increase in taxes/ reduce subsidies to support more Welfare programmes and a big national savings fund.

All best university in the word is present end collab with Dubai. End the civic education is the best in the word , if you have children DUBAI is just perfect , end safe. Not like the rest of the word
their is a tax now since 2018. UAE should reprogram the housing rental specially for the asian expat. Bedspace is very expensive and can't afford to live o a separate room for bachelor or couple. They should increase the salary for the asian expat.

If they want to last longer in relation to wealth, they definitely can not rely only on oil. I would support my statement with the fact that a big part of the world is giving up oil, mostly in relation to using it for car fuel and not only. How will the UAE develop post-oil, only time will tell. Greetings! ))

It is a capitalists market, if they have other choices in Europe or the USA they will go, but no other countries give them visas, so why you are always blaming the Gulf states for paying them low salaries and other countries even not accepting them!
It is doubtful that the UAE could survive the future on just oil. Oil is a fossil fuel, meaning that there is only a finite amount of it created in the world. Once the fossil fuels are used all up, alternative means of energy will be necessary for sustained living. Given the UAE is construing Masdar City, that project should indicate to the world that fossil fuels will no longer be the best form of energy in the world. Through limited consumption via motion sensors and solar panels, the UAE is telling the world the world that oil will no longer sustain economies or energy consumption. So, in the short of it, the UAE could not survive on oil alone.

I don’t think it’s possible for the UAE to maintain growth via oil alone. Diversification into other sectors such as tourism, green energy and R&D are great areas for them to continue to develop. Thank you for the honesty of your video and for not sugar coating the trouble people can get into if the don’t follow the laws & for mentioning the inhumane way they treat labourers.

Gulf county may be dependent on oil byr Dubai has come far way from oil and once oil is finished it won't effect it.

I think my Leaders are looking to the Nordic countries as a Model how to manage our resources and eventually wean ourselves off it. The plan seems to be centered around infrastructure building, increase in taxes/ reduce subsidies to support more Welfare programmes and a big national savings fund.

their is a tax now since 2018. UAE should reprogram the housing rental specially for the asian expat. Bedspace is very expensive and can't afford to live o a separate room for bachelor or couple. They should increase the salary for the asian expat.

If they want to last longer in relation to wealth, they definitely can not rely only on oil. I would support my statement with the fact that a big part of the world is giving up oil, mostly in relation to using it for car fuel and not only. How will the UAE develop post-oil, only time will tell.

It is a capitalists market, if they have other choices in Europe or the USA they will go, but no other countries give them visas, so why you are always blaming the Gulf states for paying them low salaries and other countries even not accepting them!
It is doubtful that the UAE could survive the future on just oil. Oil is a fossil fuel, meaning that there is only a finite amount of it created in the world. Once the fossil fuels are used all up, alternative means of energy will be necessary for sustained living. Given the UAE is construing Masdar City, that project should indicate to the world that fossil fuels will no longer be the best form of energy in the world. Through limited consumption via motion sensors and solar panels, the UAE is telling the world the world that oil will no longer sustain economies or energy consumption. So, in the short of it, the UAE could not survive on oil alone.
