I am currently learning how to swim. As a beginner, I am definitely struggling with the breaststroke and treading water. I really love how you take the time to explain and show in and out of the water. Unfortunately, my lessons are 30mins and the time doesn't allow for the instructor to focus on the students individually. I am moving to private lesson, but I still need to practice on my own as well. I am putting a plan together to for routines practicing. I am also video myself to see if my format is correct. My question is should I start with practicing and masteeing the arm, legs, and breathing first or learning the frog kick? Again, thank you so much. I really appreciate your videos and I definitely review your videos before and after my lesson. Thank you for explaining and demonstrating for me to understand.
I struggled with going down for years, and just a few days ago I discovered that its the direction of the hands that either keep you up or sink you. Keep the hands up close to the surface as long as your hands stay up close too the surface you wont go down. the hands are the steering wheel

Sorry but Thats not by far a good technique. Knees should not open wider than shoulders. By spreading the legs so far you add a lot of resistance in the water.
@@danswimnyc oh, sorry! I missed that. But can you explain to me why a beginner would not benefit from learning the right technique from the beginning?
@@KingxOfxMyxHeart13my kid learned breast stroke with a wide kick like shown in the video. And it’s very difficult unlearn bad technique. It would have helped my kid to learn flexing feet and rotating knees more from the beginning. Resistance bands above the knees to keep legs going beyond the shoulders, is helpful to unlearn wide breaststroke kicks.
@@JP1050xyes thats what I say. I would’ve preferred to learn the right technique from scratch and not with a workaround and a lot of bad habits to get rid of.
This is so helpful, best video I’ve found for the frog kick, thanks so much!
You are welcome, integrate it with the breaststroke pull now. Let me know if you need any help with it?

I'm glad to help 🤜🤛 great job
This is amazing, I have been doing the whip kick for years and have arthritic knees. the Frog kick won't affect them. THANK YOU.

You teach for the begining with mistake , when you have wrong habit that is hard to change it for correct technic
What a waste of time. Stop trying to be funny
