In Helaena's first scene before Aegon enters the room looking for Jaehaerys, Helaena whispers "They only want the boy" and after saying that she is afraid of rats, she looks directly at Jaehaerys' crib, she did predict death of him in a prophetic dream.
And once again Criston Cole has failed miserably at his job as a royal guard, instead of guarding the doors to Helaena's and her children's room, he is in bed with Alicent while Helaena's son is being killed.
The real problem is that they sent the guards and most of the servants away so people wouldn't find about their affair. That's why there is not even a guard in those scenes where we see Helaena running with Jaehaera in her arms.
Has anyone noticed that the version of the House Stark theme in the establishing shot of Winterfell is called 'Goodbye Brother,' and the raven seen during this moment is carrying the message of Lucerys' death? This is literally the moment when Jacaerys has to say goodbye to his brother
That's cool I didn't catch that. I also think his opening lines talking about 'duty is sacrifice' reflect the conflict that could have been avoided had them sacrificed their personal ambitions in the dance
He asked specifically what do we do if we cannot find Aemond and the camera pans to Daemon's face. They included that for a reason. Then, he kept saying son for a son, he said son... so clearly they had a plan B if they couldnt find Aemond. Aemond killed the person who plucked his eye out and even that was an accident. Daemon is killing people left and right, including his own wife and then some innocent guy they used to toss in the fire for Leanor. Daemon is a complete monster, nothing redeeming about Daemon.
Yeah, but i think it's all alicent, otto and cristons fault. Alicent and Otto raised them boys with hate and pressure, just compare all the scenes between the two families. While Rhaenyra is always hugging her chidlren, the greens are always beating them to shit. Also remember that the one doing the bullying was mostly aegon himself, that was older. In regards to criston, his crusty ass failed to perform his duty multiple times. Remember when aemond lost his eye? Criston had the watch. Wonder where he was, since in this episode he was supposed to go back to his post and ended up on Alicent's room

Two biggest things from this episode -Aegon is a child trying desperately to be a man. -We already knew Alicent and Cole were raging hypocrites but man did this episode jack that up to 11. I mean seriously they are the poster children for it’s never my fault. Between Cristin blaming Rhae for why Alicent is so dense and Alicent acting like a religious zealot I just can’t with either of them anymore. I mean shit even Aemond called her out on being a giant hypocrite.
