I discovered your channel about a month back and have been doing my best to work back thru all your splendid videos. The scenery, the camaraderie, the dogs, the shooting...all wonderful. Living in the upper Midwest of the US, grouse and pheasant shooting is a far different sport, but what drives us outdoors is the same. It is truly on my bucket list (I am 59) to travel over and experience this first hand.

Having noted your comments on Steel for driven duck at Belvoir. I would be interested to see you shoot pheasants with steel and hear what you consider the best loads for birds of different heights?
I’ll try my objective best to deliver an honest appraisal when I start to use them more often in the field 👍

Great shoot, the last drive was spectacular. A question for you on chokes. Does three quarter throw better long range patterns than full? Would seven eighths be optimum, Nigel Teague says he thinks it is? Thanks for the video.
Best way to find out is a pattern plate at range, some cartridges and your chokes and find out!

Love you videos, but tbh as a keeper, I really dislike how you keep shooting birds over other guns
That’s your opinion which you are entitled to- but a lot of my shooting is done at the back of other guns when they have had their two shots - ultimately on high bird shoots a really high bird can appear to belong to 3 pegs, camera angle can also be misleading - also inevitably on high birds sooner or later you will obviously take a neighbour’s bird - I will also shoot my neighbours when he is obviously busy already shooting - I’ve had no complaints only off back gunners who have no reason to complain if the gun in front is shooting well!!
