Awesome knives for the year! That moose is what’s up!! I have a 40-65 75 moose in green bone. It’s been used quite a bit but that sucker will get sharp sharp like yours. Man they made them right back in the day! Thanks for sharing these beauties!! Hope all is well with you brother!
That's a fantastic collection of knives! Love Celebrating Appalachia too...the problem is that I usually end up craving some of that great food they're always fixing.🍗🌽🔪😋
You're on the money. I had a yellow case tyrapper and never looked back, kept it sharp as a razor too. Lost one fishing, my brother-in-law found it a year later. Still looked fine and not a bit of rust and had stuck the blade down in the dirt. He saw the yellow and it drew him to it. Great little knife. Here's something most knife and non-knife people don't know. Blade size doesn't matter as long as your knife is razor sharp. Think utility knife. Razor knife. For around the house uses size does not matter. Little is better than big in almost every circumstance. Peace.
I like that $5 walmart knife. I bought a couple for stocking stuffers. Nice job on the blue dye. Copper lock is a champ too. I have one just like it from early 90's.
I carry (4) knives every day and at least (2) of them are CASE XX.(1) is a Mint 1994 CASE XX Copperhead.I have a Victorinox on my key ring and another CASE XX,& (1) other that I carry in a sheath on my belt.I could be one of dozens of others.I don’t have room for more since I have a friend in my front right hand pocket that takes up all of the room there.👍👏🇺🇸
Hard to beat that Case XX yellow synthetic. Not the prettiest knife Case makes by a long shot but man im 100% addicted to that yellow. Im on a current mission of obtaining every pattern Case makes in yellow. Slowly but surely im getting there. One of the hardest things is deciding on what pattern to buy next lol. It definitely becomes a fast addicting hobby.
I’m the same way brother, I only carry 2 or 3 knives. You mentioned getting some DMT diamond “stones” ( for lack of a better word), I bought the coarse and fine stones, and also one of them japanese wet stones. They’re great, but I find myself using my worksharp trihone more often than the others lol😂
Great bunch of knives. Any knife that you carry is better than nothing. By myself is kind of partial the case. My cabin is next to Bradford Pennsylvania. I go to the case factory quite a bit. I like the knives made in the United States of America America. I’ve been carrying case knives since I was six years old. They never let me down. I like the lock blade one’s better than the ones that don’t have locks. I’ve skin deer rabbits carried them in the army and out of the army. A knife is a tool. He can cut seat belts off save a life. I’ve cut horse ropes off of people that was tangled out. I have to admit to Swiss Army knife is the one I carry the most. In the army, I carried a Leatherman or a Swiss army knife with the locking blades. And Randall model 14 with a 7 1/2 inch blade with a sawtooth back stainless steel Never let me down the Randall maize of Florida ain’t cheap but what’s your life worth? Take care and enjoy the videos. Every day above Ground’s a good day God bless.
My brother! I grew up just up the road from you, Jamestown. I am kind of partial to almost anything that came from Utica or Camillus. No kidding here, a Utica Girl Scout, 2 blade for a lot of years. Loved it because great steel and so small and thin just disappears in your jeans pocket. Don't carry it now much, afraid I'll loose or break it. Lately been carrying an Imperial Ireland Stockman. For the record I have 4 of them! Really like them, a tiny bit bulky, but what a work horse of a knife. I also have an Imperial Stainless, single blade Boy Scout. I like it because it is very thin and again, disappears in you jeans pocket. Carried a Camillus Stockman for a while, liked it but the scales are a little too flat to fill my large hand, great steel though. Carried a Robeson 2 blade foe a while. Don't any longer, was my late father-in-law's EDC. Again afraid I might loose or break it. Last and not least, not a real common one but here goes. A Vom Cleff and Co. 3 blades with a small nail file blade, Mother of Pearl scales, unfortunately one scale has a crack in it and the other has a small piece chipped out. These are truly incredible pieces of steel. They simply put just want to be sharp! I don't carry it any more after doing some research and finding what they were going for at auction, sometimes as much as north of $200! Yeah, it is kind of a sick isn't it! Thanks for reading. Be well and safe, peace to you and yours
Not necessarily. I have many knives, i use around 5 to 7 religiously depending on what im doing(kitchen stuff, filleting a fish, processing wild games etc etc). My pocket knives are the only ones i rotate, with my Civivi Praxxis and a Clear Sky clone of a 940 being 99% of my edc rotation.
