The only thing I don't like about these games is that you always end up in a far zoomed map mode, missing the actual battle. Does this have a replay feature so you can watch it from different perspectives after the battle?
Very much agree. Why I can't get into stuff like Wargame which bores me to tears even though I play games like Combat Mission and Graviteam. I'm glad Broken Arrow seems to be a bit more zoomed in from the trailers they showed. If I wanted to stare at esoteric symbols and abstractions of military gear fighting, I'd play Hearts of Iron.
I hope they have speed as a modifier unlike in Steel Division 2. A recon motorcycle going full speed on a road will get one-shotted by an AT gun from 1750m away because there is no modifier that reduces chance for hits on moving targets.
Adore this game, so glad the guy is seeing his game do well, must be a dream come true. Microprose have been doing so much cool stuff lately, and they're doing even more looking at their website. Carrier Command 2, great game, Regiments, great game, Highfleet, great game.
I love regiments so much because its like wargame but without all the tedious micromanagement and redundant unit choices. Like you have a tank unit that does it's job and don't have to fret over analyzing the stats of a million different tanks that do essentially the same thing, and since the units are controlled in groups of 2-4 instead of just single models makes the gameplay way more relaxed and strategic as opposed to massive tactical micromanagement.
Loved the video @Sherman! Can't wait for the next video man! The M551 Sheridan is a nice Tank, even from Vietnam. The Only things that you've got to keep in mind is that the Hull was that of the M113 APC which was made of Aluminum but the Turret was made of Steel, The Shells for it's 152 millimeter Gun were what's called "Caseless Rounds" which basically means that the Shell was sown into the Powder Charge, on top of that in what was known as a "Mad Minute" the Sheridan could fire 2 rounds per Minute whereas the M48 Patton with Breach Loaded M3 90 millimeter could fire about 10 to 12 Rounds per Minute, which was due to the Loading Procedure for the Sheridan's Gun. You did pronounce the Shillelagh correctly though, and it is nice to see the Sheridan tanks doing what they were designed for which was Supporting the Airborne Troops, though we may not get to see them Parachuted in or landed by a C-130 Hercules or something. The Only sad thing to remember is that right around the Mid-1980's the Army Relegated them to bring used as Target ID Practice for the Newer T-80's since there weren't any Captured Examples to use and the Turret Styles of the Two tanks was very close.
It's a solid game, with a game-play philosophy thats different enough that it stands apart from similar games like ALB and World in Conflict. Two weeks on, I've gotten to the scenario that was part of the beta, and most of them have been pretty challenging. In particular the second operation, which happens on this map - royal pain, because the damned Soviets use ballistic missiles on the train station, resulting in a toxic chemical leak - and of course, its an objective.
Recon helos really shine during night and low vis battles. You can do some borderline cheesy strats with them. With the right amount of micro a couple of Kiowas plus cobras and apaches can straight up solo some maps.

Anyone else wondering why it's called Regiments? Is the focus more on European countries, which organize around regiments more frequently than the U.S.? DAMN
@@theShermanator you good?
It's such a massive disappointed it's not multiple player.
I am staggered really.
Can't buy this .
I played and completed the play test.
Loved the feel and look and asthetic.
And knew I'd be bored if I had more to play so was glad when I finished.
I need a human opponent.
Like chess ♟️
This really really sucks for me.
Sad.
Between playing war game game alb for like 10 years with a special steam group.
Warno and red dragon are just no good.
Was waiting for this
Im hoping a future addon or installment will have it!
@@theShermanator I know me as well, but I have been told by a programmer that apparently you have to lay that frame work at the beginning of making the game.
Apparently it's very different today online with 4x4 or 10x10 and lots of variables compared to a direct LAN connection whilst playing Red Alert in the 1990,s .
Apparently?
I don't know
@@theShermanator That reminds me, the best international players in the world play on there own rented server between 6pm and 8 pm UK time. The group is ALB on steam or I am IVD if you feel like a challenge
