If you start from the point of Miyako being a concert level trained classical pianist who at the age of 19 decided to teach herself to play guitar rather than a guitarist who can play the piano then it begins to make more sense . It helps that she is a genuine musical genius with a superb work ethic . Worth checking out her interpretation of Helloween's " Eagle Fly Free " and other songs on her EP of piano covers - it's truly a revelation and an insight into her talent on the piano Enjoy !
100% agree on your take. I firmly believe they are collectively one of the most musically talented bands on the planet - maybe #1. Not a weak link in the band, which almost no one can say. And Miyako is the best of the bunch. Maybe the greatest musician alive.
Miyako is a musical genius who in addition to being a virtuoso on the guitar, piano and keyboards, plays the bass guitar very well and does not do so badly on the drums. If you add songwriting it’s incredible. And she is accompanied by 4 other musicians of very high level including Midori on the other lead guitar who, for me, has few equivalents, men and women combined. Finally, I cannot advise you enough to react to Miyako's solo piano version of the song "Eagle fly free" because it is a pure marvel.

Funny enough, this was around the time, that I've discovered LOVEBITES, more precisely one day before, on June 12th, 2023. I remember, that was after the release of her video, but before release of the EP. What's missing, is the "Awake Again" studio live version of LOVEBITES' "Eagle Fly Free" as a bonus song to the 3 year anniversary of their debut album "Awakening From Abyss" (2017) in late 2020.
Some knowledge of history is required to understand the meaning of the lyrics of this song. In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was known as the 'November Revolution', but failed due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented the Etude OP 10, No. 12 in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, then named it the 'Revolutionary Etude'. Miyako composed Swan Song based on this 'Revolutionary Etude' and Dvorak's 'New World Symphony'. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake", based on the historical background of the "Revolutionary Etude". "SwanSong" is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete.
