Hello everyone! You can also use this vlog as a guide for ON TIME filing. The documents are very similar. You can just disregard the AFFIDAVIT of LATE REGISTRATION if reporting within 1 year from date of marriage.

Anyway, wanted to know if you paid another $25 for the Affidavit of Delayed Registration as well? The bottom portion of the paper states the fee & in your video you only sent $25. Just wanted to make sure before I send mine. God bless!
Hello sis! My pleasure to help.
I only paid $25.00. When I called the NY PCG office waaay back when I filed ROM, the lady explained to me that the $25 fee for an affidavit is if they will notarize the affidavit on their end. I have the option to have it already notarized and not pay for additional $25.00.
I would recommend that you call NY PCG tomorrow just to be sure if the case is still the same.
Thank you for your help! We were able to submit everything to the consulate and they returned all the documents.
One more question. How long after you submitted all your documents were you able to order a PSA Marriage Certificate? They said it could take up to 6 months but wondering if you received any confirmation earlier that PSA in the Philippines received and processed it. Thanks again!

I know of the same information as yours - that it could take 6 months. I really haven't tried obtaining a PSA MC since we reported our marriage to the PH Consulate.

We tried to registry our marriage to local civil registry. Our pastor sent the papers there. They said to him that it takes 3-6 months to registry there. We tried to legalize our marriage certificate in PSA at the same time and then PSA sent us a 1 month after a letter:
We do not have any marriage record of yours.
Futher verification may be made from the Local Civil Registry
Office. Documents may be requested for endorsement to the
office of the civil registrar general (OCRG). Otherwise, any
interested party may apply for delayed registration.
So I have to fill this form I guess or go to civil registry to pride them..

Hi just found your helpful page, I don't know if you could answer my question that I have. We got married in 1988 and we did not report the marriage because my wife got her US citizenship in 1989. She just received her duel citizenship in March of this year. How do I explain this on Late filing form when duel citizenship didn't come effect until 2003. Thank you
Hello! I'm afraid I don't have personal experience with your case. It would be best to call the Philippine Consulate General that has juridiction on the State where you got married. In my experience, the people in PCG are accommodating and helpful.
Hello, ROM, ROB can all be reported at the earliest. For us, our ROM was over 30 years. Just be sure to get the counselor info so you can get a PSA copy. This was the missing info which delayed us getting a copy of our ROM from the PSA. The consulate should provide you with the dfa email address. 4 to 6 months later, email the dfa desk with your names, ROM number and they will provide the pertinent info to assist the PSA team to locate your ROM. The same applies to obtaining PSA ROB copy. And to answer the question, we used, " lack of knowledge on reporting" requirements.

Hello! I did have the same question a couple years back. I've tried researching everywhere and I didn't really find anything on consequences of not reporting your marriage abroad to the PH Consulate.

Hello, no consequences if both you and your spouse are Filipinos. In our case, I'll need a PSA copy of our ROM to process our 13a visa application. It is also a legal document in the Philippines vs a foreign marriage certificate which may need to be apostle in order for it to be recognized. If my spouse should pass before I do, I have a legal document of our marriage for my or our children property rights. It also allows you to obtain a passport in your spouse name if so desired.

Thank you! No, none of my docs were apostilled. I just needed my affidavit of late reporting notarized through my bank.
@Cyndi Paro We were told... No need for an annulment which a long and expensive process, but since we were both previously married and divorced in the USA, we only need a judicial acknowledgement of a foreign divorce.
This is what we were told:
The first thing you have to do is to secure the original copies of these documents if possible and have it authenticated or apostilled in the nearest Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the US:
1. Official copies of her foreign divorce documents;
2. Certified copy of the foreign country's divorce law or the state where she had the divorce;
3. Official copy of your and Ana's marriage certificate;
4. If your marriage was already reported to a Philippine Embassy/ Consulate in the US, an original copy of this report shall also be authenticated/ apostilled;
5. Proofs of citizenship from both of you
These are the general requirements, there may be other documents necessary as different countries have different divorce processes and different kinds of marriage and divorce documents.
When the documents are all authenticated/ apostilled, you can send all the originals here in the Philippines to start the filling of the Acknowledgement case.
@@brianoreilly80 Thanks for the additional information. Your case is different from ours. Me and my spouse do not have previous marriages maybe that's why we were not asked for additional requirements (in your case apostilled original docs)

Hello! Sa PCG NY, yes ni-require nila. Binalik naman nila sa akin thru mail.

Dun sa NY consulate sis required ang original. And ok lang kahit expired passport. Sakin din expired na nung nag ROM ako. 🙂

Hello sis! Hindi ako 100% sure if pwede yung alternative documents. I recommend na tawag ka sa PCG na may jurisdiction sa State nyo. Responsive sila based on my experience.
Yang docs kasi na sinend ko sa NY PCG is mismong docs based dun sa email confirmation na sinend nila sa akin.

Hello there! I used my married name.
For the citizenship, I was still a Filipino citizen when I reported my marriage. I am not sure if you still need to report it now that you are a US citizen. I would recommend that you call the PCG where you would report your marriage to be sure about this part.
yes I can still apply for ROM as long as I have to submit the delayed registration ROM and notarized . After ROM I’m going to apply for dual citizenship .thanks again .

Magakano po ang payment for late registration? Nabasa ko kasi sa website nila is affidavits that means 100 na tapos 25?
Hello! Wala akong binayad for late registration. Bale kasi yung affidavit namin is pina notarize ko sa banko. Yang additional $25 is fee if sa pcg inonotarize yung affidavit.

Hello sis! Depende kung saang consulate eh. Ako noon isang $25 lang sa NY consulate ako. Yung ibang fees hindi pinabayaran sakin kasi naka notarize na bago ko pa ipadala sa kanila. Tumawag ako noon okay naman mabilis ang sagot. Sila nag advise sakin na isang $25 lang babayaran ko.

Hindi ako sure sis, depende kasi sa PCG jurisdiction ng State nyo. Try mong tawagan sila. If same ka sakin sa NY ka din, sa PCG NY, usps yung instructions na binigay sakin nung officer.
